Send Me Your Hats!!!

Off-Season Moves in Baseball as of 11/30/2012

It's been an eventful last 15 days in baseball and teams are making their moves to try and the always elusive World Series Championships. Thus far I have been impressed with what the Toronto Blue Jays have done. The Atlanta Braves have made some good moves as well. It's only November and a lot of off-season left but Spring Training will be here before you know that. As always I only report on deals that have been made official. I am not going to announce a deal then have it not go through. I am not ESPN or Fox Sports who jumps the gun on everything. With that being said here is a recap of all the wheeling, dealing, signing, trades and releases that have happened since I last wrote.

-Detroit Tigers agreed to terms with OF Torii Hunter on a two-year contract.

Drivers with New Teams for NASCAR Sprint Cup 2013

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for 2012 has ended and Brad Keselowski is your champion. In three months time Daytona will already be here and there will be an entire new outlook on the NASCAR scene for some drivers.

Here are some of the changes that you will see in the 2013 Sprint Cup Series season. Danica Patrick will be added full time to the Sprint Cup circuit as part of Stewart-Haas racing. Joey Logano is leaving Joe Gibbs racing to race for Penske and become Brad Keselowski's new teammate. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. who has won the last two Nationwide titles will move up to race for Jack Roush. Joe Gibbs will add Matt Kenseth to his team and now.

Also Penske racing is dropping Dodge and going back to the Ford leaving NASCAR with no Dodge teams. Speaking of Penske, I feel bad for Sam Hornish Jr. who replaced AJ Allmendinger halfway through the year was not picked up by someone. He came in during a very tough spot and raced pretty decent.

The landscape of NASCAR will definitely be different with these moves. The Daytona festivities begin February 16th with the Shootout and the duels. The Daytona 500 takes place on February 24th and we will have exclusive coverage throughout that week. Stay tuned for anymore breaking NASCAR news the next few months.

Recap, Review and Results of 2012 Survivor Series

Tonight was the annual WWE Survivor Series show that's been running for 26 years. The pre-show kicked off with Team CoBro taking on 3MB. I love how all these jobbers are getting put in teams or factions just so they could be relevant. None of these guys will ever headline Wrestlemania. It's pretty sad that Santino use to be taken seriously, Drew McIntyre use to be the chosen one and Ryder was a one hit wonder late last year. In the end, 3MB won the match and gets a little bit of attention.

The opening match was a bonus 5 on 5 elimination tag team match. It was Brodus Clay/Justin Gabriel/Tyson Kidd/Rey Mysterio/Sin Cara taking on Tensai/Prime Time Players/Primo/Epico. I loved the eight man tag match from this past Monday and it carried right where they left off. I really like that Triple H is bringing back the tag team division as well as the cruiserweights. In the end, Brodus was the only man eliminated from his team.

The first title match of the evening was the Diva's title and I personally thought Kaitlyn should have wob the Diva's title. This crap with Eve pretending to be a classy champion is getting lame. I think Kaitlyn has some of the best in-ring abilities in the WWE right now. Plus she also has a lot of power that all the other Diva's lack right now since Beth Phoenix is gone. I hope Kaitlyn gets the Diva's title in the near future. She definitely deserves it.

The title match no one really paid attention to was actually a solid match between Antonio Cesaro and R-Truth for the United States title. I like Antonio is getting stronger each week and people are really starting to get into him as a heel. Antonio retains the championship and keeps his momentum rolling. I really hope he gets some more focus time. I could see him being a future World Champion down the road.

There was a break from the action as AJ Lee and Vickie Guerrero got into it again with this time AJ humiliating Vickie. AJ showed some really funny photos of Vickie that you couldn't help but laugh at. Right when you thought they were going to come to blows Tamina Snuka came out and laid out AJ. All I got to say is, it's about time Tamina is getting a push and some TV time. Shes a great wrestler and comes from one of the best wrestling families ever. I wonder where this is going to end up but I am sure an AJ Lee vs. Tamina Snuka match will eventually happen.

Up next was Big Show vs. Sheamus in a rematch from Hell in the Cell. I have to tell you out of all the matches on the card, this had the best build up and probably the best all around match again. The only thing I was upset about was the ending. Not the fact that it was DQ, but the fact that once Big Show was beating down after the match Dolph Ziggler should have cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase. No one would have saw it coming because he was focused on being captain of his Survivor Series team.

Speaking of Dolph Ziggler, he headed up his team of Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Alberto Del Rio and Damien Sandow against Team Foley consisting of Kane, Daniel Bryan, Kofi Kingston, The Miz and Randy Orton. This was a crazy match all the way around. So much dysfunction and chaos between everyone. The match came down to Ziggler and Orton and it was a good finish as Orton teased the punt kick and Ziggler got the victory furthering his push as the World Title.

The Main Event was the triple threat title match for the WWE Title between CM Punk, John Cena and Ryback. This was actually a really good match. The match could have gone any way but the conclusion of the match saw three NXT wrestlers in the form of  Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns take out Ryback allowing Punk to cover Cena for the win. I am curious to see if this is another Nexus angle, or Punk has a new stable of guys around him. It is no secret that these three are the top guys in NXT right now and have been waiting to move up to the main roster.

Survivor Series was a decent show but it didn't have the shock value that it normally does. I think if Orton would have turned heel like he's been wanting too or Ziggler would have cashed in that this would have been a better show. There wasn't a bad match on the show but nothing except the end of the show was really that shocking. Now onto what everyone is probably talking about....

It seems to be that no one is looking at TLC and that everyone is looking ahead to the Royal Rumble and showdown between The Rock and CM Punk for the WWE Championship. I use to be a huge Rock fan in the Attitude Era but it is not right for him to come in and get the WWE Championship just on his Hollywood namesake. There are guys out there like Wade Barrett, Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes, Antonio Cesaro, Daniel Bryan, Kofi Kingston, and The Miz need that title more and could gain a lot more from having it then The Rock could at this point. I also could see guys like Tyson Kidd, Justin Gabriel, Ted Dibiase, and Michael McGillicutty be a lot better off having that title then The Rock. I guess it is what it is and for now we must deal with it.I do appreciate that CM Punk has now been champ for 365 days now putting him in company with Hulk Hogan as having one of the longest reigns in history as WWE Champion. It's kind of cool seeing one of my heroes now being mentioned in the same class as one of my heroes back then. It's now 365 days and who knows if he beats Dwayne, it could be more.

Survivor Series gave us a clear indication of what to expect for the early part of 2013. It was a solid show but no shock value so therefore I will give it 6.5 out of 10. I think they could have done so much better then what they did. We need shock value, not the predictable.

Review of WWE 13

It's been a year that I talked about WWE 12 and how great it was and a year later I am back with WWE 13. I didn't want to write a review until I have fully experience the game. I played for a lengthy time this week from Attitude mode to Universe Mode and all the things you could create.

The attitude mode has many different stories from major moments in the Attitude Era. They have stories from Wrestlemania 14, and 15. They also have classic matches like Mankind and The Undertaker, or you can relive the very first episode of Smackdown and recreate the match between The Rock and Austin vs. The Undertaker and Triple. Due to to the Attitude Era mode there different versions of WWE stars. For example there are 3 versions of Triple H, 2 of The Rock, 2 of Edge, 2 of Christian and more. My personal favorite is the Basic Thuganomics version of John Cena. They also have the 3 Faces of Foley in the game. There are so many moments you can get into that will have you playing the Attitude Era.

I love creating stars, creating arenas and creating moves. All of the create features are so in-depth this year. I love the character I created for myself along with the move list. The create modes really allow you to change the whole landscape of WWE Universe Mode. In the Universe Mode you can create your own brand and show with your own arena. You can create your own pay-per-views. My friend and I created a show and brand called Saturday's Nightmare with our arena being called the Death Chamber. We also could edit the rosters and put whoever we wanted to on our brand. Let's just in our brand their is a lot blood, hardcore and chaos every match that's played. The Universe mode got ten times better due to the create modes being much more in-depth then they ever have been.

The gameplay is much more complex and presents new challenges. There are more reversals, a larger set of moves to use and the different match types. You can do a quick match, normal match or an epic match. The level of these matches determine how long the match goes and how hard you have to work to get the victory.  I also love that they brought back the King of the Ring, the I Quit, Last Man Standing and Special Guest Referee matches. Those were four matches that were lacking the last few years.

This has game has to be hands down the greatest wrestling game ever made. I believe it's going to be very hard to top this game for a long time. This game has so much to offer and so many different match ups that you could never see in the WWE. If you are a WWE fan with an Xbox, or PS3 this is the game for you. It has past and present and all you could ever want in a wrestling. Go out and join the revolution today and pick this game up. You will lose yourself for hours enjoy the depth of WWE 13. If you don't pick up this game I just got two words for you....missing out!

Well the Giants won the World Series in 2012 a few weeks and since then some major moves have went down. A lot of wheeling, dealing and shocking moves have been made. I am going to post on the 15th and 30th of each month until the preseason beings. So with that being said here are all the officials deals that have been made thus far.

The big news is that after week 10 the Atlanta Falcons are no longer undefeated. There are teams with obvious playoff runs in them and others who don't have a chance of making the postseason. Review, Recap, and Results of 2012 TNA Turning Point

So tonight was TNA Turning Point and it was definitely a fun show to watch. The opening match was Samoa Joe versus Magnus for the Television Championship and it was a good match for an opener. Both have been having great matches and this one wasn't a let down by any means. Samoa Joe retains the title and he is finally getting momentum on his side once again.

The inter-gender tag match with ODB and EY going against Tara ad Jesse was a lot of fun and had a lot comedic spots. Both teams are what I consider the odd couples of TNA but the match was fun to watch.

The second title match was the RVD defending the X Division title against Joey Ryan. I honestly don't know where they are going with either wrestler but one RVD does not need the X Division Championship and Joey Ryan's character is just flat out stupid. The only reason people are talking him serious now is because Matt Morgan is his bodyguard. Matt Morgan is more over then Joey Ryan is but I am not creative so I can't make that call.  RVD retains and Joey Ryan's direction is totally unknown.

Joseph Park the lawyer took on the newest member of Aces N Eights Doc (formerly known as Luke Gallows). I love Joseph Park when he fights because he always takes a good beating but when he start bleeding he gives a good beating. Doc ended up winning the match and tried beating Park down but Bully Ray made the save. I like the Park character but Abyss seriously needs to resurface back on TV. I kind of noticed a correlation because when Kane went under the mask in WWE again, the Abyss character disappeared from TV. Only time will tell when Park is no more and Abyss returns.

Hernandez and Chavo Guerrero had their first title defense against Daniels and Kazarian who in my opinion have been the best heels in the wrestling world this year. It was a very competitive match between the two teams but at the end of the match the tag champs retained their titles. I really like that Hernandez is getting a push again and also love that they haven't broken up the team of Daniels and Kazarian. They are a good antagonist team. I hope they stay together for a long time and keep their heel run going.

The number one contendership for the TNA Heavyweight title was decided in a triple threat match between AJ Styles, Bobby Roode, and James Storm. The stipulation of this match was whoever got pinned would not receive a title shot again until next year's Bound for Glory. A lot was on the line and it was so much fun to watch these three competitors go at it in the ring. The end result of it all was James Storm pinning AJ Styles for a chance to wrestle for the TNA Championship next month. As for Styles it's going to be a long year for him and I will be curious to see how they use him now. I personally see a heel turn but we shall see.

Kurt Angle took on Devon in a decent match even though I think it was rushed due to time constraints. Kurt Angle made Devon tap and escaped from an Ace and Eights beatdown. I was really disappointed that another member of the group wasn't unmasked. That would have made for more of an impact leading into Thursday.

The Main Event of the evening was the Ladder Match for the TNA World Championship between Jeff Hardy and challenger Austin Aries. This was a great intense battle for the title. Both men took a lot of hard falls off the ladder and will probably be feeling the pain for a few days. I honestly think this is a serious match of the year candidate. Jeff Hardy retains the title and does it was a sick Twist of Fate which was one of the most incredible thing's I have ever seen.

The show was good and solid from top to bottom. It wasn't spectacular but it wasn't horrible either. TNA has been doing really good TV and pay-per-views even if the numbers don't show it. I'd give this show 7.5 out of 10. The next PPV is December 9th which is called Final Resolution.
