2015 NFL Week 4 Predictions

In week three I predicted 13 games correctly. The games I got wrong were New York Jets/Philadelpha Eagles, Houston Texans/Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Washington Redskins/New York Giants. I have a total of 32 predictions that I've made correctly. Here my picks for week 4.

Pittsburgh Steelers over Baltimore Ravens
What use to be a big rivalry has now become an after thought after the Colts and Titans had an extremely competitive game in week 3. I think the Ravens and Steelers are going to have to get younger before either of them can get better. I do see Michael Vick surprising a lot of people and leading the Steelers to victory.
New York Jets over Miami Dolphins
We all know that the Patriots are kings of the AFC East but this could be the most competitive division in 2015. The Jets, Bills and Dolphins have all done things to get better. I still think the Dolphins need to do more and aren't quite there yet. The Jets on the other hand are going back to a formula that worked for them in the past. I look for the Jets to win a close and competitive
Atlanta Falcons over Houston Texans
Buffalo Bills over New York Giants
Oakland Raiders over Chicago Bears
Cincinnati Bengals over the Kansas City Chiefs
Both teams have octane offenses but the way Andy Dalton and A.J. Green are playing right now it's hard to go against them. I look for the Bengals to win but I don'think the Chiefs will get blown out like they did by Green Bay in week 3.
Indianapolis Colts over Jacksonville Jaguars
Philadelphia Eagles over Washington Redskins
I truly believe that the NFC East is the weakest division in football right now. Their are injuries, the lack of chemistry, and none of them are living up to the hype. I look for the Eagles to get on track this week and try to get ahead in the division.
Carolina Panthers over Tampa Bay Buccaneers
San Diego Chargers over Cleveland Browns
Denver Broncos over Minnesota Vikings
Green Bay Packers over San Francisco 49ers
Arizona Cardinals over St. Louis Rams
Dallas Cowboys over New Orleans Saints
Seattle Seahawks over Detroit Lions

I am looking forward to watching to see how certain games turn out this week. Check back next Wednesday Night for my week 5 predictions!

Fantasy Football Week 3 Recap (ESPN)

It was another interesting week in my Fantasy Football world. Sometimes you lose, sometimes you win, sometimes you score big, and sometimes you score low. I feel like I had a little bit of everything this week. So here we go with week 3.

Uncle Jack and Grandma Memorial League
Hollywood's World of Sports (153) vs. Team Bassackwards142 (86)

Starters
Cam Newton-29
Marshawn Lynch- 1
Chris Johnson- 27
A.J. Green- 34
Brandon Marshall- 14
Greg Olsen-25
Travis Benjamin- 8
Texans D/ST- 5
Graham Cano- 10
Bench
Alex Smith-18
Owen Daniels- 8
Darren McFadden- 9
Michael Crabtree- 3
Percy Harvin- 7
Markus Wheaton- 1

My opponents bench only had 13 points. I had a very red hot week and I know I couldn't have done anything different and there's not much my opponent could have done differently either. It will be very hard for me to top what I did this week in either of my leagues.

UA GR League
Hollywood's World of Sports (82) vs. Team Herrera (118)

Starters
Cam Newton- 29
DeMarco Murray- 0
C.J. Spiller- 2
Doug Baldwin- 3
Kenny Britt- 10
Anthony Fasano- 2
Rishard Matthews- 23
Falcons D/ST- 3
Graham Cano- 10
Bench
Sam Bradford- 8
Chris Ivory- 0
Coby Fleener- 5
Roddy White- 0
Greg Jennings- 1
Percy Harvin- 6
Jerricho Cotchery- 0

My opponent had 31 points on their bench and with the amount of 0's I had there was no way I was going to beat my opponent. My opponent made all the right moves on who they started. You can't compete and win in these leagues if a good chunk of your players are putting up 0's.  I am 1-2 in both of my leagues. I feel like I am gaining some momentum based on the points I am scoring. Check back in next Tuesday Night to see if I kept up on my momentum in week 4.

2015 NFL Week 3 Predictions

I can honestly say that week 2 was really wacky to me. I only predicted seven games correctly. The games I ended up getting were Chiefs/Broncos, Bills/Patriots. Titans/Browns, Rams/Redskins, Saints/ Buccaneers, Raiders/Ravens, Dolphins/Jaguars, Eagles/Cowboys and Colts/Jets. A lot of these results are really making me think about what's going to go down each week. With that being said here are my predictions for week 3

Washington Redskins over New York Giants
As long as RG3 doesn't start the Redskins are a better team. I think Washington has the tools to be a competitive team and they will use those tools to take down and old broken down Giants team
Atlanta Falcons over Dallas Cowboys
Cincinnati Bengals over Baltimore Ravens
Oakland Raiders over Cleveland Browns
I would have picked the Browns if Manziel was starting but Josh McCown returns and if he makes anymore stupid dives like he did in week 1 then he'll be out for the year.
Indianapolis Colts over Tennessee Titans
Pittsburgh Steelers over St. Louis Rams
New England Patriots over Jacksonville Jaguars
Carolina Panthers over New Orleans Saints
New York Jets over Philadelphia Eagles
Tampa Buccaneers over Houston Texans
Arizona Cardinals over San Francisco 49ers
Buffalo Bills over Miami Dolphins
Seattle Seahawks over Chicago Bears
Denver Broncos over Detroit Lions
The way the Lions are playing and the way the officials are allowing Matt Stafford to get hit all the time I honestly could see the Lions having another 0-16 season. Do I think it will happen? No but they better get it together fast.
Green Bay Packers over Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City had the game in the bag last week against Denver but a lot of costly mistakes towards the end of the game proved to be disastrous. The Packers will win but the Chiefs will look stronger then they did in week 2.

These are my week 3 predictions. As always check back every Wednesday Night for my weekly predictions and candidate thoughts on certain games. Controversy Doesn't Come Without Criticism!

Fantasy Football Week 2 Recap (ESPN)

This week in fantasy football made me realize you can't stick with your original team the whole entire year. It's impossible to win your leagues if you don't shake up your roster now and then. Here is how my week turned out in fantasy football

Grandma and Uncle Jack Memorial
Hollywood's World of Sports (84) vs. Team Seppla (97)

Starters
Cam Newton- 26
Marshawn Lynch- 6
Darren McFadden-5
A.J. Green- 10
Brandon Marshall- 10
Greg Olsen- 7
Percy Harvin- 4
Texans/DST-5
Graham Cano- 5
Bench
CJ Spiller- 1
Devin Funchess- 1
Alex Smith- 4
Owen Daniels-1
Michael Crabtree- 17
Markus Wheaton-6

My opponent had 32 points on their bench. Any changes would have hurt them. If I would have started Michael Crabtree over Percy Harvin I would tied and made the standings a little bit more interested. They had an overall great week. Their win over puts me 0-2 in this league but some changes are underway to try and compete.

UA GR
Hollywood's World of Sports (58) vs. Team Tassell (44)

Starters
Cam Newton- 26
DeMarco Murray- 5
Chris Ivory-5
Roddy White- 0
Kenny Britt- 10
Coby Fleener-0
Percy Harvin- 4
Falcons D/ST- 3
Graham Cano-5
Bench
Dez Bryant- 0
Sam Bradford- 6
C.J. Spiller- 1
Delanie Walker- 0
Greg Jennings- 0
Doug Baldwin- 15
Jericcho Cotchery- 1

I had 23 points off of my bench. The only difference is I should have started Doug Baldwin over Roddy White. My opponent had 37 points on their bench. If they would have switched Quarterbacks and Kicker they would have beaten me easily. As you can see their a lot of zeroes on this side of things which means the always revolving door of transactions. I am now 1-1 in this ultra competitive 16 team league. Keep checking back each Tuesday for my Fantasy Football recaps and see who's hot and who's not.

Recap, Review, Results of WWE Night of Champions 2015

Tonight is the annual WWE Night of Champions event. Five championships were on the line and three epic matches took place that could have easily been championship matches. Before I begin my thoughts here are the results of Night of Champions.

-Preshow: Stardust and The Ascension defeated Neville and The Lucha Dragons
-WWE Intercontinental Championship: Kevin Owens defeated Ryback (c)
-Dolph Ziggler defeated Rusev
-WWE Tag Team Championship: The Dudley Boyz Defeated The New Day(c) by DQ
-WWE Divas Championship: Charlotte defeated Nikki Bella (c)
-The Wyatt Family defeated Roman Reigns/Dean Ambrose/Chris Jericho
-WWE United States Championship: John Cena defeated Seth Rollins (c)
-WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins (c) defeated Sting

Now why in the hell would you bring in a special mystery partner in just to take the fall. I was happy to see Chris Jericho back in a WWE ring but it didn't make much sense. I have a feeling that this story is far from over. I think because this is about "family" WWE should be smart and use the Uso's, use some of the other Samoans before the rivalry is over. I also see Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho having a feud to help build Ambrose's credibility. Honestly that's the only complaint I have for the show.

I love the fact that Kevin Owens is the new Intercontinental Champion. The Intercontinental Championship is the title for the workhorses and the best performers, Kevin Owens is a great performer and a workhorse. I think he's going to make a great champion and will have some incredible matches as the champion. I love the Dudley Boyz and want them to become ten time tag team champions but I am also happy that they are building the story and not totally burying the New Day. Love them or hate them, The New Day right now is on fire and possibly the hottest thing in WWE. I am so happy that Charlotte is the new Divas Champion. I really hate certain people that get pushes because of power and the politics backstage. The only reason Nikki and Brie had the spotlight for so long is because of who they are dating. That's why I couldn't stand Michelle McCool because of who she was with when she was on top. The Divas revolution has official begun and hopefully we will be treated to better women's matches.

Seth Rollins proved that he's rapidly approaching legendary status. He wrestled John Cena and Sting back to back and had great matches with both men. I was actually shocked that Seth lost the United States title cleanly and with one Attitude Adjustment. I was happy that Sting and Rollins got have a decent match and it wasn't just some quick squash. Sting appeared to be hurt during the match but I am not quite sure. After Rollins retained Sheamus tried to cash in but "The Demon" Kane made his returned and left both Rollins and Sheamus laying in the ring. I'll be curious to hear the update on Sting, whether or not Cena starts the United States Open Challenge again and if Kane is next in line for the WWE Heavyweight Championship? All these questions will be answered tomorrow night on Monday Night Raw.The show was a solid show with some great wrestling matches so I will give it 7.5 out of 10. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. I am just happy that there are three new champions in WWE.  They are already building the hype for WWE's next show with Hell in a Cell.

2015 NFL Week 2 Predictions

In week 1 of the NFL season I predicted 12 out of 16 games right. The games I predicted wrong were Colts/Bills, Seahawks/Rams, Buccaneers/Titans, and Eagles/Falcons. It's early in the season but I feel like the Rams were the upset of the week and the Eagles were the disappointment of week 1. However with anything in life you can't live backwards so it's time move forward to week 2.

Kansas City Chiefs over the Denver Broncos
I feel like this is the tale of two worlds. Alex Smith was on fire and looked pretty impressive while on the side Peyton Manning did not look to good. I have to give it to the Chiefs due to coming out strong and being at home this week.
Atlanta Falcons over the New York Giants
Buffalo Bills over the New England Patriots
Let's face it, Rex Ryan absolutely hates the Patriots whether he admits or not. He now has an all around great team and a fan base that is pretty passionate once again. I think it will be close but I am giving the nod to the Bills
Arizona Cardinals over the Chicago Bears
Cincinnati Bengals over the San Diego Chargers
Tennessee Titans over the Cleveland Browns
Minnesota Vikings over the Detroit Lions
St. Louis Rams over the Washington Redskins
New Orleans Saints over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Pittsburgh Steelers over the San Francisco 49ers
Carolina Panthers over the Houston Texans
Baltimore Ravens over the Oakland Raiders
Miami Dolphins over the Jacksonville Jaguars
Philadelphia Eagles over the Dallas Cowboys
Green Bay Packers over the Seattle Seahawks
Indianapolis Colts over the New York Jets

There you have it folks. Week two has a few solid games that should be fun to watch. Check back next Wednesday for my week 3 predictions.

Fantasy Football Week 1 Recap (ESPN)

This week was the first week of the 2015 NFL season which means the return of Fantasy Football. Here the results of my two leagues that I am in.

Grandma and Uncle Jack Memorial
Hollywood's World of Sports (58) vs. One Eyed Jacks (77)

Starters for Hollywood's World of Sports
Cam Newton- 12
Marshawn Lynch- 12
Darren McFadden- 2
AJ Green- 6
Brandon Marshall- 12
Greg Olsen-1
Michael Crabtree-3
Texans D/ST- 2
Graham Cano-8
Bench
Alex Smith- 22
Percy Harvin- 13
Markus Wheaton-7
CJ Spiller, Owen Daniels, Devin Funchess- 0

The biggest mistake I made in this match up is pretty obvious. If I would have started Smith and Harvin I would have tied my opponent it would have for an interesting start to season. However my opponent had 31 points on the bench so he could be thinking the same exact way. If he would have started a different person or two he would have crushed me even more.

UA GR
Hollywood's World of Sports (92) vs. Team Opperman (93)

Starters for Hollywood's World of SportsCam Newton-12
Demarco Murray- 13
Chris Ivory-21
Dez Bryant-4
Roddy White-8
Delanie Walker-10
Percy Harvin-13
Falcons D/ST- 3
Graham Cano-8
Bench
Sam Bradford- 13
CJ Spiller-0
Coby Fleener- 2
Greg Jennings- 2
Doug Baldwin- 3
Kenny Britt-3
Bears D/ST-(-)1

My opponent had 41 points on his bench compared to my 22 so there's not much else I could have done to try and win this match up. My opponent had a few options that he could have used to beat my in this week's match up. As you can see I lost both matches. One was to bad roster moves and the other was just very competitive. The bright spot of the week is that I predicted 12 out of 16 games in my weekly pick em group. As you can see I did not reveal my opponents rosters. Out of respect for my opponents I will not reveal their player points. I will leave that up to them if they want to share their strategy with others. With that being said keep tuning in each week my Fantasy Football recaps.
