Iverson, Rocky Balboa, Pistons, NFL, Noah Lott and more

Well the last two weeks have been very eventful. Allen Iverson was traded after spending 10 years with Philly. Where he went to? Denver. A good choice. A lot of talent on that team which means he won't have to score 40 points a game. When Carmelo comes back that team is going to be dynamite. Denver is now my pick to win the NBA Title this year.

I went and saw Rocky Balboa last week and it was very good. I enjoyed the movie and the surprises it had in it. Theres a lot that happened that I didn't think would happen. Just the whole presentation of the movie was good. If you haven't seen it you should.

How about that triple overtime game that the Pistons had last night against the Knicks. The lost but still yet that game was phenomenal. Rip Hamilton had a hell of a game, 51 points. Unbelievable. The pistons are doing great this year which I didnt think was going to happen but its happening. Keep up on ticking Pistons

Well this is the last week of NFL regular season play. It will be a season to forget if you ask me. Carolina did horrible this year which personal upsets me. There will be 2 or 3 8-8 teams in the playoff in the NFC which proves the NFC has no chance in the Super Bowl unless New Orleans goes(which could happen). I am saying right now that in the Super Bowl it will be the Baltimore Ravens and the New Orleans Saints.

In boxing news, Oscar De la Hoya will be fighting Floyd Mayweather Jr. in Las Vegas, May 5th. It's going to be a great fight. I hope De la Hoya shuts Mayweather up for good. De La Hoya is the man, and Mayweather Jr. is jealous because his daddy never trained him like he did other big stars.

And this weekend is the one of the biggest matches in UFC history. Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz will square of in the octogan for light heavyweight championship. Should be a great fight, and one that will be talked about for a long time.

The Spectactular Legacy of the AWA DVD Review

I sat down to watch the AWA DVD not knowing what to expect. The DVD
is about 2 hours long which was great. I love long wrestling
documentaries. I was impressed that Vince kept himself out of the DVD
for the most part. It was comprised of all the guys who were in the
AWA and had helped build it's foundation. Like any WWE DVD, theres
always a downfall. Just like the ECW DVD, and the upcoming WCW DVD
next year. The DVD touched on a lot of things that were great about
the AWA.

Some of things I enjoyed about the AWA DVD were hearing how Verne
Gagne is credited with building up so many stars in the business and
how almost everyone he trained became successful. I love his
philosiphy on how the good guys and bad guys should always be kept
apart. You got to love kayfabe. I also enjoyed the segments on Nick
Bonkwinkle and Curt Hennig. Baron Von Raske said the Curt was
almost "Mr. Perfect," meaning he was that great of a wrestler.

I also enjoyed the stories on the Superclashes. It was definitely a
great concept and it still could work today. I would love to see AWA
vs. TNA. How awesome would that be. Anyways, it's too bad the
promoters couldn't work together and co-exist. If they would have the
industry would be different then it is today.

The one thing that bothered me is the criticism that Verne had a huge
ego and he was very stubborn to work for. If you didn't have an ego
in the wrestling business you wouldn't be very succesful. Also if you
were a nice guy, everyone would walk all over you. So thats why Verne
was probably the way he was because he wanted to protect his
business.

Last but not least, I respect the hell out of Verne Gagne for
accepting an invite to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this
past year. I respect the fact he has no grudges against anyone who
worked for him. The impact of Verne Gagne and the AWA will be around
for a long time. My favorite match is obviously Curt Hennig vs. Nick
Bonkwinkle for the AWA Championship. It was awesome

One thing I do want to make clear. The AWA is not dead. The AWA is
still around today. It re-opened in 1996. Jerry Lawler and Larr
Zbyszko have both claimed that they were the last official AWA
Heavyweight Champion. There have been some great champions since it
re-opened in 1996: Steve Corino, Ric Converse, Takao Omori and
others. The AWA has 23 territories with a lot of great wrestlers on

Heyman, Indonesia, a big idea, and more

I was very disturbed this morning when I realized that Paul Heyman was released from WWE/ECW. When you think of Paul Heyman, you think ECW and vice-versa. Heyman didn't create ECW, Tod Gordan did. However Paul Heymans ideas and creativeness put ECW on the map. WCW and Eric Bischoff can talk the crap all they want about ECW wasn't anything but crap. If it was crap why did you steal their talent. WWE recognized that ECW had some great wrestlers and helped ECW out. I think ECW needs to die and be done with. There is no ECW without Paul Heyman. I said it last week. The Extremists need to be put on both Raw and Smackdown, and then they need to bring back Heat and Velocity. Then they should bring back the Hardcore and TV titles so theres more titles. WWE really pissed me off by doing what the did. I refuse to watch Extremely Crappy Wrestling.

I am also disturbed these morons in Indonesia have the balls to say WWE killed a child...Uh hello, ever seen the "Don't Try this at Home" commercials. Thats all I am saying because if I get to much into it I'll get even angrier.

I have had this idea in my head for the last two weeks now and it involves 2 wrestling promotions. It would be a way for them to work together seeing as how they both hate WWE. I will have full details on it tommorrow, so sleep on it and fiuge out what I might be up to.

Wrestling on the rise again?

Over the last 2 or 3 weeks I've noticed changes in both wrestling promotions. TNA is starting to have controversial storylines like the LAX anti-america angle. The Abyss-Sting title situation. I also enjoyed seeing Tyson Tomko come to TNA to help Christian. TNA is using what WWE did to their advantage.

Now to the WWE positives. The tag team division is looking like it might be in greatness again. The Hardys are back. MNM is back (for one time only supposedly). I have also heard that La Resistance is making a comeback to WWE. Then you obviously have DX, Cade/Murdoch, Cryme Tyme and others. Also the Blue Bloods (Regal/Taylor) are back as well. The tag division is being filled with old faces and new up and coming tag teams. It's fun to watch.

I read a report the other the day that Raw is looking to go to a 90's type style show where "anything can happen," like it was in the attitude era. It's suppose to be controversial, humorous, and edgy. A prime example of this was the angle involving Cryme Tyme last night. They made something that was so stupid, and pretty much put it into perspective of how stupid it really was. Thats why wrestling is so great because it puts stupid politcal and societal things into perspective. Then the report started that Smackdown was going to be an 80's style show with longer fueds, more wrestling/less entertainment, etc. I think this could bring a lot of fans back who stopped watching because of the so called "inappropiate" things on tv.

On to the things that need improvement. TNA is starting to become competition. With the addition of Kurt Angle, it really set the bar high. I am glad Jeff Jarrett is out the picture for now. It was a smart buisness move. I believe TNA needs to go to two hours, and build their roster up more. I also think the WWE bashing needs to stop because it turns people off, myself included. They need to think about holding TNA Impact at different facilities each week to cater to other markets. TNA is in good shape right now, and theres been talk that more WWE guys are going to jump. Only time will tell.

Now the big dogs, WWE. First and foremost, get rid of ECW. The legacy is being destroyed. Take the best talent like CM Punk, Test, RVD, Tommy Dreamer, etc. and split them up and put them on Raw or Smackdown. Get rid of the following guys to make room:
Snitzky
Viscera
Val Venis
Vito
Mark Henry (injury plagued)
Funaki
Jimmy Yang Wang

And whats with London/Kendrick never defending the Tag titles? It seems like they havent been on TV in months. I also think the Cruiserweight Division needs a lot of work. The X Division is making you guys look like nothing. With all due respect to Gregory Helms, there is no competition for that title anywhere. Also I would like to see the Hardcore title comeback that way WWE could keep guys like Sabu, Sandman and others who are in the Hardcore style. WWE is getting to better to watch again.

I think wrestling is on the rise and I think next year will be the hottest year for wrestling since the Monday Night Wars. TNA stars will jump to WWE. WWE stars will jump to TNA. Survivor Series recap, TNA Genesis, ECW, and more

Well today is going going to be a wrestling filled post. Lets start with Survivor Series last night.

Last night wrestling fans witnessed probably the greatest 5-man team ever assembled at Survivor Series or in the history of wrestling. CM Punk, The Hardy and DX looked awesome last night. I couldn't believe the crowd reaction for CM Punk. He is definitely the future ecspecially when guys like HHH and HBK are helping him out. I also couldn't believe Cena did it again. He FU'd the Big Show which everyone popped for. The Chris Beniot/Chavo Guerrero match was great. I just wish they would end that stupid storyline for good or atleast give Chavo the title. I loved Survivor Series. It was good to see Kennedy win the way he did. Kennedy could be the next Heavyweight Champion in my opinion. However at Armageddon I would love to see a 6-man Hell in a Cell with Kennedy, Undertaker, Batista, Kane, Booker T and Finlay. That would be a blood bath waiting to happen. I can't wait until Raw tonight. Should be a good. Last week was awesome when the 30-man brawl broke out at the end. Sweet Sweet.

I watched TNA Genesis last Sunday and that was just as impressive as the Survivor Series. The Samoa Joe/Kurt Angle match was awesome. Sting losing the title the way he did was controversial. VKM are idiots once again...Come on guys the WWE bashing is got to stop. You're making TNA look like fools. Whatever. They are washed up hacks who couldn't compete with Triple H and Shawn Michaels on their best God given day. The Old Age Outlaws are useless. See I love what Kurt Angle is doing. He's doing his talking in the ring, making guys like Abyss seem so much better. Guys LAX are going to look so much better. Angle will bring out the best in everyone and thats how you beat the WWE. Another thing is using the same storylines but altering them a little. For example, having Tyson Tomko come to TNA was a great move for them and for Christian. The problem solver is back in TNA. I keep looking foward to Thursdays now because of people jumping...Who's next?

ECW December to Dismember is this Sunday. If I do watch it, it will be through webcam because it's definitely not worth spending the money to see it. They only have 2 matches signed. The Extreme Elimination Chamber and the Hardys open challange to any tag team in the world...You wonder who that will be. I think ECW is going downhill and the ship is sinking fast. The best way to survive now is take the title off of the Big Show, put the Hardy Boyz there full time. Go to 2 hours and utilize all their talent. Last but not least, go back to the original style. I am begging for it to be great, because I know it can be but we will see what happens.

Tigers Notes, TNA Impact, Wrestling Back to Grand Rapids, and more

Well the Tigers have been making a lot of moves and winning a lot of awards So here is a brief summary of whats going down:
-Tigers trade 3 minor league pitchers to the Yankees for Gary Sheffield
-Jim Leyland named manager of the year
-Justin Verlander named Rookie of the Year
-Tigers resign Sean Casey
I am telling you the Tigers will win the World Series next year. Theres more moves to come. Please ship off Craig Monroe and Jason Grilli, both of them aren't worth anything. Stay tuned because its a long off season ahead.

I just got done watching TNA Impact, and it was a solid show. The only thing I can't stand is this...The constant bashing of WWE. Kip and BG James are getting ridiculious and if anything is going down the train, it's them. They are just pissed off because they couldn't hack it in WWE. You guys probably would have gotten a second chance but you blew it by all the bashing. If you don't believe in 2nd chances then you're an idiot. I mean look it Jeff Hardy, the Late Eddie Guerrero, Matt Hardy, 2 Cold Scorpio, and others. You just have to have to right attitude and old Vinnie Mac might give ya a 2nd chance

Lately I have been talking with a promoter from Michigan who wants to bring wrestling to Grand Rapids again. I am not releasing any major details at this time but I will say this. He wants to hold shows once a month at a small venue, then every 3-4 months hold a bigger show in a bigger venue. He also wants to secure all the PAX stations for TV time. Only time will tell if this happens but if it does, it will be great for the wrestling fans in Western Michigan. Stay tuned for more on this subject.

Survivor Series, AWA, Mr. Perfect/Noah Lott, Video games and more

Well with Survivor Series a week a way things are heating up in the WWE, or atleast you would like to thing. But the obvious has happened. Orton/Edge won the tag titles on Monday only to probably lose them to none other then....DX. It's so damn blantant its not funny. So when will DX get the titles? Either Monday night or the night after Survivor Series. I hope I am proven wrong and the legends win back the titles. However here is the card for the Survivor Series

A lot of great DVD's have been coming out lately from WWE but one I am most interested in is the AWA Legacy DVD. I wonder how WWE will distort that truth. Unfortunately the common wrestling fan things the AWA is dead...However is very much alive. The AWA has more then 20 territories in the United States, and is making new starts all the time. Dale Gagne is doing a great job. I guarentee if AWA was on TV, and drafted 50 of its best stars, it would no doubt put TNA out of business and be competition for WWE. So many times in the business and world of pro wrestling, a certain wrestler likes to pattern himself after another. Noah Lott and I always loved watching Mr. Perfect growing up as wrestling fans. When Noah Lott got into wrestling he wanted to be like Mr. Perfect. He carries a towel like Mr. Perfect. He uses the neck-snap in almost every match. If certain fans are lucky, Noah Lott on any given night might pull of a PerfectPlex out of no where. Mr. Perfect was a great wrestler, with a lot of skill and charisma. I hope the Picture of Perfection can carry on the legacy Mr. Perfect in some way, shape, or form. I hope when its all said done, I hope Mr. Perfect is saying to himself in heaven that Noah Lott was "Absolutely Perfect!"

Speaking of Mr. Perfect, I bought the Smackdown vs. Raw 07 game today which has Mr. Perfect. He's so awesome in the game. Already one the I-C title with him. Thats one thing I can give WWE credit for is their videogames. This one is awesome. A must buy for any wrestling fan.

One last note, just wanted to congratulate my favorite bowler Pete Weber for winning his 33rd title this past Sunday. He's awesome. Go PDW!!!

Remember Eddie Guerrero, One Year Later

A year ago, tragedy struck the world of professional wrestling. It didn’t matter if you were a fan, a worker, or in any part of the business. I remember waking up and getting on WWE.com and there it was on the front-page of WWE’s website…Eddie Guerrero has passed away. Eddie was such a colorful performer and could make anyone look good. My three favorite moments of Eddie are when he won the WWE title, him and Reys match and Halloween Havoc 1997, and when him and Chavo had their hair vs. hair match at Bash of the Beach 1998.
What really captured me about Eddie weren’t his in-ring capabilities. It was his story. A story of how he overcame drug addiction, and all the problems he had a long with it. He became a born-again Christian and impacted so many people in the business. That message was never any clearer then when they had the tribute shows for Eddie the night he died. He was so fun to watch in the ring.
I remember reading blog of Michigan wrestler Jimmy Jacobs sharing his experience that he had with Eddie. Even though Jimmy didn’t get a move off, Eddie said that they wished that they could have had a better match and sorry that it was all about him that night. That spoke volumes to me, and makes wonder why can’t all the guys and gals in the wrestling business can’t be like that?
It’s guys like Eddie, Shawn, and Dibiase who make want to be in the wrestling business not for myself, but to help others out. Eddies impact is still being felt today, through Chavo, the somewhat controversial storylines and through the wrestling fans in general. He will always be remembered, and not forgotten. He’s up in heaven with Owen, Pillman, Bulldog, Earthquake, Bossman, Hennig, and all the other performers who made an impact on the business. We miss you Eddie. Viva La Rasa

What a huge match made yesterday for the Survivor Series. I tell you right, it's going to make the careers of CM Punk, Gregory Helms and Johnny Nitro. Mike Knox I could careless about because he's just another Test if you ask me. The Hardys are already established but they could bigger pushes in the long run. It's going to be a great survivor seris. I am glad they are giving some younger guys a chance to shine on the big stage. I can't wait for Survivor Series to come around on Nov. 26th

Congrats is in order for Jimmy Jacobs and Josh Abercrombie who will be appearing on MTV's Wrestling Society X. I hope the WSX will be good for wrestling. If Josh and Jimmy are in it, it should be because both are very great wrestlers and they will do well. Congrats to both..I look foward to seeing them on TV.

You know it's funny that it seems like now a days that what people consider to be an underrated sport, is appearing on TV more. Darts, Billards, Bowling, Texas Hold Em(which is on everynight now), and others. I love watchin Texas Hold Em on TV. It's taken the country by storm it seems and everyones playing it. I have played about 5 or 6 times with people and atleast once a week online and I do pretty well I would say. It's a lot of fun. I love all the no-name sports. Bowling, Billards and Darts. Have an interest in all 3 Sports.

Well the signing of free agents begins next week so it shall be interesting to see who goes where, etc. I hope the Tigers can get someone who can actually hit homeruns. Haha. In all seriousness they are a great team and they will only get better.

The Pistons on the other hand, have made the Ben Wallace excuse. Everyone is saying that without Ben Wallace, Detroit is nothing. Right now Detroit is making everyone right with they are playing. One guy who absolutely sucks when it comes to offense does not make a damn bit of difference. Ben Wallace can't even make free throws, so how valueable is he...Not very valueable. It's all a mental things. The Bulls are playing better because in their head they think they are playing with a superstar. Pistons are playing worst because the lost a superstar. It's simple. Detroit can still be great but they got to say the hell with Ben Wallace and play like they always have.

Cyber Sunday thoughts, Reyes bowls 300, Josh Abercrombie, and more

Last night I watched Cyber Sunday and it was a decent Pay-Per-View. Seeing Piper and Flair when the titles last night was awesome...Even though Piper looked like he was freaking pregnant. The Champion of Champions match was stupid and pointless. You knew whoevers title on the line was going to win...I mean come on, WWE doesn't have the balls to shake things up like that. And what the hell is up with Kevin Federline doing in a WWE ring still...That angle is just as bad as David Arquette winning the WCW title...God you would think Vince Russo was running Raw or something. I was impressed with Jeff Hardy and Carlitos match. Hardy has really proven himself again and is just so much better then what he was before. Also the DX vs. Orton/Edge was a good match despite the stupid outcome. Heres what I would love to see at Survivor Series. Degeneration X/Jeff Hardy/Carlito/John Cena vs. Edge/Orton/Nitro/Umaga/Shane McMahon. If DX's team wins they get 5 minutes alone with McMahons, Coach, and Bischoff. I can't wait until Survivor Series.

Yesterday when I was watching the PBA, Tony Reyes won his first career title. However he did it in style by bowling a perfect game of 300 in the semi-finals against Parker Bohn which was awesome. It's only the 17th time a 300 has been bowled on TV. Totally awesome to watch it.

I what say congrats to my buddy Josh Abercrombie who won the Price of Glory Grand Championship last night by defeating Johnny Dynamo. Josh is a hell of a guy and a great athlete. WWE Brian Pillman DVD Review

I sat down this evening and watched the Loose Cannon: The Brian Pillman Story. It was a fitting tribute to the former WWE/WCW Star who passed away 9 years ago. What touched me the most was how Brian was a fighter. He was an underdog and everyone said he couldn’t do anything physically because of his size. I love the stuff that the Hollywood Blonds did. Austin/Pillman did great stuff together but because of backstage politics they were split up. Jim Ross said it best…If a member of the active wrestling roster is apart of the booking team, it’s a recipe for disaster (Kind of sounds like the state I live in.) My favorite part is when Brian did a parody of Ric Flair in Flare for the Old. That was great. Brian had some intense matches but my favorite one was the war the in Canada. The Hart Foundation vs. Austin/Shamrock/Road Warriors/Golddust. A lot of people said the last two years of Brian’s career they didn’t know if he was in character or he was himself. I believe Eric Bischoff said it as well…In order to be successful in this business you have to live your character outside of the ring as well.

It was nice that WWE involved his wife in the DVD and got her take on her husband. It was cool to see how his kids feel about him and how they turned out. I’ll always remember Brian Pillman as Flyin Brian because he started a whole knew element of professional wrestling in American. He was an innovator and a great athlete. If you are a huge wrestling fan, I urge you to pick up this DVD. You’ll love it. Flyin Brian, you maybe gone, but you will never be forgotten.

Thoughts on TNA, Baseball, NBA Season, POG Show and more

Well before I watch TNA tonight, theres a few things I want to look at before they go primetime. The positive things about TNA is how they are getting big name WWE guys like Kurt Angle and Christian, etc. I feel they will help the buisness in he long run and make TNA competitor. Even though I hate his guts, I am glad they brought Vince Russo back because he is a very creative person.
My problem with TNA is they are pushing veterns and not the young guys. Sting and Jarrett are past their prime. Let Samoa Joe, Abyss, Christopher Daniels and others carry the company. Because of the veterns being pushed they lost probably one of their best draws in Monty Brown who is currently trying to work out a deal with WWE. I think this primetime change on Spike might entice a few other WWE guys to jumpship. I think within the year Benoit and Jericho will be in TNA and that might be a safe bet to take.

Congrats to Pudge and Kenny Rogers for winning Gold Gloves today. Happy to see it. Dave Dombrowski signed a 4 year extension as GM for the Tigers. Also Pitcher, Jeremy Bonderman might be up on the trade market. The story can be found on ESPN. Sean Casey is also a free agent who I hope re-signs with Detroit. A lot of big free agents right now. Well the NBA season started off a few nights ago and the Pistons did not look good the other night. They lost to the Bucks which is no shock because Rasheed Wallace got ejected in the 3rd quarter. I think the Pistons are going to have a long season this year. Teams to be on the look out for are the Clippers, Lakers, Magic, Nets, Bulls, and Suns. I believe it will be the Nets vs. Suns in the finals this year. No doubt in my mind. I think both are finally ready for the next step and after how Miami played the other night, they will not repeat is champs. Everyone figured them out. Beware of Kobe and the Lakers. Thats all I am saying. Call me crazy but I know what I am talking about.

World Series Recap, NBA, Flair/Kanyon and more

First off before I start being to critical of the Detroit Tigers, I want to say congrats to them because they had a hell of a year. After 13 losing season, they made it to the World Series. I can't even comprehend that. I think it was just a lack of experience on their part because St. Louis has been in the playoffs the last 4-5 years and been to their 2nd World Series in 3 years. I tip my hat to Sean Casey though. He played great through this whole series and if the Tigers would have won, he should have been the MVP for sure. Here somethings that Tigers should do in the off season:
-People to trade: Nate Robertson, Fernando Rodney, Craig Monroe, and Chris Shelton. Trade them as a package to get some actual power hitting, and experience pitching.
-Sign a veteren catcher like Mike Piazza, Mike Matheney or Sandy Alomar Jr. to back up Pudge because Pudge didn't get it done this year and we need another catcher with some experience.(That or give Vance Wilson more opportunities.)
-Sign Sean Casey to a three year deal.
-Give Omar Infante/Alexis Gomez/Brent Cleveland more playing time
Tigers had a hell of a year and I am proud of my home team. I respect Jim Leyland for what he did for the organization and respect the fact that he took the blame for everything that went wrong out there. They'll be back. Go Tigers. World Series in 2007.

The NBA season starts this week and Eastern Conference looks dominating again. Obviously the biggest shake-up in the offseason was that traitor Ben Wallace leaving the Pistons for the Bulls. I think the Pistons will do great this year. Here is their current Roster for the NBA Season:

I can't wait until Wednesday when the Pistons take on the Bucks. It should be a great game.

A couple of days ago former WWE/WCW Wrestling Chris Kanyon was on the Howard Stern show. Kanyon claims that the WWE fired him because he came out of the closet and told people he was gay. That's when Ric Flair called in says that the WWE fired him because he didn't have the gimmick. Kanyon says John Cena doesn't have the skill but he is in there. I totally agree the Kanyon on this one, Kanyon was one of the most innovative wrestlers that there has been. I mean come on, its obvious Vince doesn't like Gays because he fired Orlando Jordan after Orlando came out of the closet. Whatever I guess. I look to hear more about this in the coming weeks.

Tommorrow the PBA returns on ESPN at 1pm. The final four are:

Kent vs. Jones should be a good match up. I have never even heard of Jurek or Lambert but I am sure they will put on a hell of show because it's their first TV finals I believe. Look foward to it tommorrow.

Well game 5 of the World Series is tonight and it's do or die for the Detroit Tigers. Tonight Verlander is on the mound against Jeff Weaver so it should be a good matchup. I hope we get back to Deroit so Kenny Rogers can pitch tomorrow night. Should be a great game tonight

This past sunday at TNA's Bound for Glory, Sting captured the NWA Heavyweight Championship from Jeff Jarrett. Kurt Angle was the special enforcer which was cool. I can't wait for Genesis because Kurt Angle is taking on Samoa Joe. Thats a match I would pay to see. Also this past Sunday N8 Mattson was a security guard for TNA and if you watched the PPV you saw him breaking up the fight between Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle. N8 Mattson is definitely one star that should be in TNA hands down. He is such a professional and a great talent. I hope to see more of him on TV.

Tigers, Legends, Cyber Sunday, and more

I tell you, last weekend couldn't get any better for Tigers fans. I still can't believe they are going to the World Series. My neighbor has been ragging on Ordonez the whole season and to see Maggs belt two homeruns out was just phenomenal. I am watching the Mets-Cards game right now and it would be awesome to see the Mets go se we can beat both New York teams in the same playoff year (Has that ever been done?) However if the Cards win some familiar faces will be returning back...Jeff Weaver and Juan Encarnacion. I would love it, if they got the crap kicked out of them. I can't wait until Saturday.



This sight was awesome a few weeks ago at the Raw Homecoming. Ric Flair wrestled that night and brought some friends of his. Million Dollar Man, Roddy Piper, I.R.S., and Arn Anderson. I love it when they bring legends back. I am sure we will see more in the future.

A new era: More sports, more controversy

It's hard to believe I have been running this blog for as long as I have. It started out as a political blog, then a full blown wrestling. But now I have decided to stick with wrestling but add sports to it. I don't care if it's baseball, basketball, football, bowling, darts, billards, tennis, Golf, etc. If something strikes me then I am going to write about it. Theres going to be more posts and more controversy then ever...

So how about the Detroit Tigers. They destroyed the Yankees, and are now on their way to a World Series berth. I think its just simply awesome. Detroit is so phenomenal this year and I honestly don't think they have peaked yet. I think next year they will peak and win it all next year. They'll get rid of a few loose ends and be good to go. I can't wait for this weekend to watch them.

Yankees pitcher Corey Lidle killed in plane crash

Today as news started pouring that a plane crash was felt in New York, I thought to myself here we go again. Unfortunately the crash was a mere accident that claim the life out and outstanding pitcher in Corey Lidle who finished the season playing for the Yankees. I am not a Yankees fan and never will be probably but this not about who you’re fan of. I feel bad for the Yankees because of all the turmoil that happened this week and now to have something tragic like this happen. It’s horrible. I hope this puts things in perspective for the fans of the Yankees. There are more important things in life then the game of baseball. Who cares about how Joe Torre managed. Who cares about how bad A-Rod is slumping. All of these things are irrelevant because they are all human and they are not perfect. I followed Corey Lidle the last two years when he played for the Phillies and Yankees. He was a great pitcher and judging from what the players had to say he was a great guy. My thoughts and prayers are with Corey Lidle and his family and the Yankees organization.

Raw Homecoming, No Mercy, more...

Hello again wrestling fans...

Well if you haven't heard Raw will be three hours this Monday as part of the Raw Homecoming. All three brands will be represented at the show which should make for interesting television. Last I heard they were trying to get Austin and Hogan for the show. That would be cool. Maybe they can finally have a confrontation.

No Mercy is Sunday and it looks to be a decent card for Smackdown for once. Here are the matches:

The reason for the Fatal Four Way match is because WWE felt Bobby Lashley isn't marketable enough to be in the main event alone so they added the Batista and Finlay who were suppose to have their own match. I am also looking foward to the ending of Mysterio vs. Guerrero rivalry because its getting ridiculious. I am also looking foward to the Matt Hardy vs. Gregory Helms match, which is going to be good because they are both Ralieigh, NC where to pay-per-view. I am looking foward to the card

Response to the ignorant

Last night I was reading a statement by World-1 "promoter" Steve Goff and it got me pissed off. Check the statement out at http://miwcstaff.proboards52.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&thread=1159221604

You know, it's been a long time since I lashed out at something involving Michigan Wrestling because I have gotten to know some of the workers and promoters and have a lot of respect for them. Wednesday Night that all change, when I read Steve Goff's little "statement" on MIWC. I am a little pissed off at some of things there were said

1. First off, please do yourself a favor and realize that just because a "company" or "federation" puts on a show, that it's REALLY "Pro(fessional) Wrestling." If it requires a cage match between two hacks for the 1000th time to get over with you, go play in traffic. If you're paying exorbitant prices for tickets because your "friend" who is semi or more likely marginally (or worse, NOT) talented in the ring, go play in traffic. If you're THAT EASY, you're not a fan of PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING.

Who in the hell are you to tell how fans to act and how to feel. Are you trying to commit career suicide and put W-1 out of business. Let me tell you something, those two hacks are where they are because they worked their asses off. Don't people telling people they are not wrestling fans just because of what they like or don't look, get over yourself.

2. I love it when they want to be added to our "Friends" list on Myspace too. I love it when they try to work me to make sure there's no heat between us - would it matter if there was? I'm done with you anyway. I have no use for guys who aren't in it for the team - that are only in it for themselves. Guys like MARK WORKER here in Bay City (name changed to protect the guilty).

Why don't you have some guts and say it's Bull Wheeler, because we all know that's who you're talking about. Yeah so what if he is wrestling for UCW. Big deal. Since when Indy promotions have contracts saying that can't wrestle for certain promotions...never except TNA because its a nationalized promotion on TV. Ok if Bull is so damn selfish how come he drives from Bay City to Coldwater to wrestler for POG. How come he drives to Bay City to Kalamazoo to wrestle for HPW...Because he is selfish? No, because he wants to help promotions like them out.

I would really like know something. Before World-1 where were you a "promoter." Honeslty I would love to know. a "promoter" doesn't go around telling fans how they should act.

Lastly, I know I don't mean anything to anyone when it comes to Michigan Wrestling because I am not a wrestler. Unfortunately my health does not allow me to wrestle so I have to get in the hard way, by using my creativity and offering my services to anyone and everyone who would like them. I could really careless if I get a bad reputation again by what I am saying. World War 2 in Wrestling is inevitable, Scottie Nice, and Noah Lott

The picture says it all. Kurt Angle signing with TNA changes everything. If the Sting vs. Jarrett match wasn't big enough. Add Angle as the enforcer then the match is money. I believe the this along with the new timeslot the momentum has swung in TNA's favor and here are my thoughts on both sides

TNA Advantages:
-Lesser work schedules is every wrestlers dream
-TNA Wrestlers work on the indy scene which allow them to make TNA more marketable, and have a bigger fan base...For example, I have watched Shark Boy wrestle for Price of Glory in Coldwater and I am a fan of his, therefore I watch TNA to see if he is on.
-They capitalize on WWE's mistakes and get wrestlers who are released aka, Dudleys, Rhino, Christian and now Angle.
-They have more matches in one hour then Raw has in too.
-They are building up younger stars

WWE Advantages:
-Bringing back old timers like Hacksaw, 2 Cold Scorpio, Henry Godwinn, etc.
-Possible DX vs. nWo feud in the works.
-Jeff Jarrett as NWA Champion
-More titles, which allows more competition
-3 Brands equals 3 TV shows which people see more


I believe there is going to be a lot of backstabbing in the next year or so and some primetime players from WWE will leave...My guess if I had to pick 5, they would be Chris Benoit, Batista, Shelton Benjiman, Kane(he claims he wants to retire), and JBL. All of them are unhappy, not being pushed and want to do more then just wrestle all the time. Can't wait to see how it pans out.



Now you're probably wondering who Scottie Nice is? Scottie is a good friend of mine who I met at Buffalo Wild Wings watching a WWE Pay-Per-View. He is someone I respect the hell out of because he knows his stuff. He's a great guy and is proud of his heritage. He is training to be a wrestler and I wish nothing but the best for him.



I haven't talked about my good friend Noah Lott in a while but he's doing good...Love him like a brother. He is in the Glory Cup next month so of course I am rooting for him but here are my predictions:

Kurt Angle, Gridiron Gang, the last month

Well I thought Kurt Angle being shipped to ECW was news, last night I recieved news that Kurt Angle is now part of TNA Wrestling. Just think of all the possible match-ups he could have. Sting, Jarrett, Alpha Male, Samoa Joe. I guess Kurt wants to be where the real wrestling is...and now TNA is a competitor. Once WWE guys notice whats going on I believe many will jump ship. Kurt Angle is now the only olympic gold medalist in TNA...It's True, It's True

As much as I don't like talking about the Rock, because of him not wrestling anymore, I went and saw the Gridiron Gang last night. It was a great movie and bery inspirational. I just wish the Rock would come back to the WWE or even go to TNA.

Sorry I haven't updated in last month but between being busy and nothing good happening in wrestling I didn't feel like posting. Summerslam was a huge disappointment, but Raw rebounded with a great ppv in Unforgiven. It was good from top to bottom.I will start updating once again because wrestling is now getting intereting. WWE McMahon DVD Review

Just who is Vincent Kennedy McMahon?

Well I just got done watching the new McMahon DVD that was released this morning and it was awesome. For those of you living in a cave out there, Vince McMahon is the owner of World Wrestling Entertainment. A multi-million dollar company. The DVD talks about his successes and it his failures. It talks about who he is on TV and who he is in real life (theirs actually a lot of similarities) If you never under professional wrestling you have to watch this DVD, because this is the man behind what you see on TV and how its ran.

I never understood Vince until now and I think it’s awesome he doesn’t back down from a fight. He strives on controversy. Hear from guys like Hulk Hogan, Edge, John Cena, Kurt Angle and his family on what they think of him and some of his decisions. I urge you to go buy this DVD, borrow it from a friend or borrow it from me. It’s an awesome DVD.

WWE Summerslam 06, greatest card ever...On Paper?

WWE Summerslam is live this Sunday and I will watching it from BW3 on 28th st. Summerslam has always had great cards and great moments like the Shawn Michaels comeback in 2002, or Sid Justice posing with Hogan in 91 and my all-time favorite moment, when Hogan/Savage took on Dibiasie/Andre in a tag match...

If you know me you know that my favorite Pay-Per-View of all time is Summerslam 91. It had a great card:

Bret Hart vs. Mr. Perfect (my favorite title match of all time)

What made this card so great was the wrestling and the tension that surrounded the main event. The commentating by Heenan, Monsoon and Piper made even more entertaining...Fast foward 15 years and here we have Summerslam coming this sunday and here is the official and final card and my final thoughts

We have seen this match up time and time again but I think because of the stipulation with Edge in effect, I think this match will be very supsenful

World Heavyweight Champion King Booker vs. Batista
Batista never lost the title. I think Batista will shine this Sunday and King Booker will be sent packing

D-Generation X vs. The McMahons
If I heard correctly, it sounds like vintage HBK and HHH will be there Sunday and will prove why they are the most dominant force ever in the WWE, collectively and individually

Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Orton

I say this match will still the show. Blood, guts and tears in this one. Its hard to pick a winner but it will be Flair because Foley will be rendered unconscious

Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero
Eddie, Eddie, Eddie...Thats what we will be hearin the whole entire match...It's pretty much a tribute match but unfortunately theres a heel in a crappy storyline. I believe this match will rank up there as one of the best Summerslam matches of all time. I am rooting Chavito

ECW World Champion Big Show vs. Sabu
The Largest athlete in the world vs. the most dangerous man in the world. Whats not there to like...Well if it isn't an extreme rules match then it will be boring...If it is an extreme rules match, watch out because all hell is going to break loose...Sabu will kill the giant and become the champ again

ECW was good last night because of the fans, the fans made it phenomenal. I love how they booed the hell out of the WWE guys. It was great. ECW is sucking otherwise. Sabu needs to get the title or its all going down hill.

Well hello everyone again, hope you are all having a wonderful week. I know. I am. The Bash was this past Sunday and once again Smackdown fails to deliver. Between ECW and Smackdown, I wonder which one will fail first. I hated the Main Event and how that ended. The only two good matches on that whole entire so were Regal vs. Finlay, and Helms vs. Hardy. Everyone else simply sucked ass. Oh well Summerslam is going to be off the charts.

One of the reasons why is Hulk Hogan back in the game again. His ovation on Raw was awesome. I think Orton and Hogan are going to have a great match. I think the card is going to be phenomenal. Should be good

2. Tag Team Giants MAYHEM beat The CLASH (Ernie Ballz, Brian Bender) via "The Ultimate Destruction," to earn a shot at the AWA/WORLD-1 Great Lakes Openweight Titles in November.

3. TNA Superstar "The Canadian Enforcer" Bobby Roode defeated ECW Superstar The Blue Meanie with the "Roode Awakening."

4. "The Viper" Pete Christie defeated long time rival "The Mastermind" Dave Duponte in a Battle For Bay City Street Fight, after a "Viper DDT" on a steel chair.

5. Mack was carried off to the back, and x-rays showed no signs of broken vertabrae, and a slight sprain was diagnosed.

7. "Amazing" N8 Mattson became the new AWA/WORLD-1 Great Lakes Openweight Champion after beating "Classic" Colt Cabana with the "N8 Factor."

So thats all my indy news for the time being. Now on to a serious side of things. Something in me lately has really gotten sick of wrestling. I don’t know what. I guess maybe the fact that I get pushed to the side a lot. You know there’s a guy I helped out a few years ago break into the wrestling business by supporting him financially and spending a lot of my time promoting his name. And its like now I don’t mean shit to him even after all I have done. I have tipped him off on shows that were going to be big. I have watched 95 percent of matches and let him know what’s good and what’s not from someone who has watched for 18 years. Maybe I got it all wrong and maybe it’s the fact that he is just busy all the time, but I specifically took Friday off so I could go with him to one of his bigger shows. He pretty much told me that there was no room and that he was taking his girlfriend…Hmmm, last time I checked his girlfriend wasn’t the one who supported since the beginning. Nothing against her but you know what I mean. But see he isn’t the only one. I would give my life to be a part of a promotion either helping out with storylines or being a commentator. Since I have health problems I cant wrestle. I have always wanted to be involved with wrestle as more then just being a fan. Everytime I offer my service I get this line… “Leave it to the professionals.” Well screw the professionals are the ones who screw it up and are the ones who make wrestling look like shit now. If they were smart they would bring in an outsider who knows what the fans want….Precisely why I created Hollywood’s Gimmicks. I come up with more stuff off the top of my head then some people can come up with in a lifetime. “I AM NOT A WRESTLING FAN. I AM A WRESTLING EXPERT. I DON’T WATCH WRESTLING, I STUDY WRESTLING.” And if you don’t like get the hell over it. You know I know I have said a lot of shitty things and stupid things involving wrestling but that was before I knew the do’s and don’ts of wrestling. So I am saying right now. SNME, ECW, Summerslam, and more

This past weeks Saturday Nights Main Event was pretty good, exceptionally better then the last one. I thought the Hogan/Orton build up for Summerslam was excellent and how they are incorporating Brooke Hogan in the storyline. I thought the ECW match absolutely sucked but what else is new. I enjoyed the 6-man tag and the DX-Spirit Squad match. Good stuff. I thought the title match could have been a little bit better but who can complain...

So ECW last week was decent because of the Flair/Big Show match...However ECW is no longer ECW. Its just WWE Extreme. Thats what I am calling it. What a crock having to bring Taker and Flair just to get rating. I'll say it again. Get rid of all non-ECW people that werent there in the past. Bring back all the old guys who made it big and run with it as the original product. Otherwise you can kiss it goodbye and let TNA dominate.

Summerslam is going to be good this year...I can see it now. I think Batista will get his title back. Edge will lose the title but not to Cena. DX vs. the McMahons, and Legend vs. Legend Killer. Summerslam could be the best PPV of the year, other then Mania.

So Big Show wins the ECW Title. That makes him the first piece of shit to ever win the ECW, WCW, WWE World Titles....I wish someone like Beniot would have achieved that accomplishment. I now think ECW sucks. RVD and Sabu screwed up big time. Sabu I can understand because he is always in a lot of pain, so drugs probably make him feel better. You know one thing that pisses me off is when other promotions knock other one. Lets see WWE has knocked UFC. TNA has knocked WWE, and ECW. And now World-1 (aka the Voice Guy, listen to the July 1st edition) knocked UCW and ECW. What a way to get over guys, lets bash the competitor and be immature about it. Yeah so UCW in Bay City and ECW sucks. But we don't need to hear it from the competition. Just making yourselves look like idiots.

I tell DX made Raw, the best Raw of the year this past Monday. It was some great stuff. A lot happened that I didn't expect to see but it was great. Also Tuesdays ECW was much better then the debut. It had a little bit more then the first week but it needs to get a little bit better. I wish they had an extra 30 mins or hour to have a better show. I look for Vengeance to be the PPV of the year. Great card from top to bottom. Should be good

DX, ECW, Vengeance, and Internet TV

They're Back

It was so awesome to see DX come back Monday Night. HHH as a Degenerate is so much better then him as the same old heel doing the same old thing every week. I can't wait until Vengeance. It will be awesome. Speaking of Vengeance here is the card so far:

Looks like that could be the best Pay-Per-View of the year for WWE other then Mania. Good solid lineup. Maybe 2 matches that will calm down the crowd down and it will be good.

ECW's debut was alright last night. I think the WWE crowd hurt it some but hey, its all good. I think they will get use to it. The Battle Royal with weapons was off the charts last night. That was the best part about it. I think it will be better in the future...

Anaylizing ECW One Night Stand

Last night was a lot of fun at BW3 once again. ECW was awesome last night. Nothing like some wrestling, some blood and some glory. It was great. It’s nice that I can hang out with my cast of amigos once in a while. It was fun. Buffalo Wings and Mozzarella sticks all night long, I was in heaven. ECW was great.

Analyzing the ECW PPV

Tazz vs. Jerry the King Lawler:
Well it was a 2 minute match with Tazz choking Lawler out with a little distraction from Joey Styles. Good way to start the crowd up.

F.B.I. vs. Super Crazy/Taijiri:
Some good straight up wrestling added with a little luche-libre made for a good tag match. Also like the confrontation between Big Guido and the Big Show. Good stuff, and a grudge in the making

Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton:
Loved how the crowd was getting on Orton and taking in Angle as one of their own now. Ortons little wave at the end of the match was funnier then hell. Good heel heat

Rey Mysterio vs. Sabu:
What do you say it was an extreme finish that looked like both guys were dead. I liked how Mysterio went retro with his old school look from his ECW/WCW days, maybe that’s a sign of him going back to that way or retiring. I hope there is a rematch because it would have been better if it was longer

Cactus Jack/Edge/Lita vs. Terry Funk/Tommy Dreamer/Beulah:
WOW! What a hell of a fight. Flaming barbed wire bats, beds of barbwire, tables, ladders, chairs and more. Bloodshed from Terry Funks body and a hole straight through Cactus’s hand. It was as brutal as I knew it would be and then some. Good way for Terry to go out if its his last match. Didn’t get pinned and went down swinging.

Balls Mahoney vs. Tanaka
Just a crowd silencer before the main event, however a bad ass chair shot from Balls to Tanaka. In the words of Joey Styles. Oh My God!!!!

Sandman/Eugene:
Good to see Eugene get the crap kicked out of him, bad move bring him to an ECW PPV. Good grief, he is getting old and the Sandman. Well he is still the Sandman, haha. Good way to excite the crowd.

Rob Van Dam vs. John Cena:
The crowd made the match with their chants. When they chanted same old shit, I immediately thought of the WWE in general because WWE is the same old shit but I’ll get back to that some other time. I was really surprised by the finish. Caught me way off for I thought for sure that Cena would win and they would riot, trust me they would have. It was great to see RVD have that moment because he deserves it for all of his work and dedication to wrestling. Good ending and celebration

Other Notes:
Some people are saying that ECW wont survive because of the WWE crowds when they wrestle on Smackdown tapings. I think it will have the opposite effect. See when they see ECW and how extreme they are how much they push the limits they are going to want to see WWE guys do the same. I believe WWE is so predictable where ECW wont be. I believe with in a year Smackdown will be gone. They have lost Angle, and Orton…Their to best straight up wrestlers. I cant wait until Tuesday Nights now. It’s going to be great. Wrestling on 4 nights a week now. Sweet. Well that’s it. Take care and Peace

Rob Van Dam vs. John Cena for WWE Title
Winner: Rob Van Dam
I believe Mr. Money in the bank will win the WWE title because if he didn’t it would make the ECW and Rob Van Dam look very week, so the bye bye John

Cactus Jack/Edge vs. Tommy Dreamer/Terry Funk
Winners: Tommy Dreamer/Terry Funk
With this being Funks last match probably, he will go out with a bang. Usually a wrestler loses his last match but considering the circumstances he and Dreamer will win

Rey Mysterio vs. Sabu for World Heavyweight Championship
Winner: Rey Mysterio
No question, this will probably be the match that steals the show because of the craziness and high flying. I look for Sabu to dominate but Rey Rey will overcome the obstacle of Sabu and retain the World Heavyweight Championship. However Rey will never be the same after this

Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton
Winner: Kurt Angle
Kurt Angle will win but I think some WWE guys are going to interfere in this match. I think Randy Orton is going to get put through hell.

Tazz vs. Jerry the King Lawler
Winner: Tazz
If it’s the Tazz I know, then Lawler is in for a long night. I believe Tazz is going to make a huge comeback. If he can do it as well as he did before he might return to the ring full time again.

Masato Tanaka vs. Balls Mahoney
Winner: Masato Tanaka
Tanaka put on one hell of a performance last year with Mike Awesome. Awesome got the better of him so look for Tanaka to inflict some major damage on Balls Mahoney

FBI vs. Super Crazy/Tajiri
Winners: FBI
The Italians will win because they are more united. Crazy and Tajiri have been bitter rivals in the past so look for lack of communication between the two…

I just got done watching the WWE vs. ECW and it was full of surprises. The huge and I mean huge addition of the Big Show now puts ECW on the map. Now here is the card for One Night Stand:

Rob Van Dam vs. John Cena for WWE Title
Cactus Jack/Edge vs. Tommy Dreamer/Terry Funk
Rey Mysterio vs. Sabu for World Heavyweight Championship
Kurt Angles vs. Randy Orton
Tazz vs. Jerry the King Lawler
Masato Tanaka vs. Balls Mahoney
FBI vs. Super Crazy/Tajiri

Now as you noticed I put Cactus Jack and not Mick Foley because I believe Cactus will turn face again after the match and be Cactus Jack in the process. It will be career nights for Sabu and RVD but both will come up short. I think here’s what they need to do. Have a match between Kurt Angle, RVD, Sabu and the Big Show to determine the new ECW World Heavyweight Championship. I would like to see Justin Credible and Matt Hardy (if the rumors are true and he jumps) feud over the ECW TV title if it comes back. Tag Teams that I see forming are Super Crazy/Psicosis, Balls/Axl, FBI, Dreamer/Sandman, etc
A lot of names to talk about but here are few additions to it, Gangrel is coming, Jazz is back (it would lead me to believe Rodney might comeback) and I heard they are some other WWE on their way to ECW as well like Charlie Haas, Rob Conway, Jimmy Yang (Akio), and Shannon Moore. Could be interesting

Not only will it shake up WWE and its rosters but I truly believe it will hurt TNA so bad its not even funny. I believe Raven, Rhino, all three Dudleys, Jerry Lynn, James Mitchell (Sinister Minister), Simon Diamond, and Konnan will come back if they see this thing is going to be a success.

Here’s what else I would like to see. I would like to see an ECW match at every ppv plus another one added to schedule which would make it 2 ECW PPV’s a year. I also believe that the Royal Rumble format needs to change. 10 guys from Raw, Smackdown and ECW. If not than an ECW Battle Royal of its on at the same event. I also believe that ECW will probably add a light weight title and call it the Luche-Libre title which would be cool.
