Shawn Michaels: The Greatest of All Time

Weather Shawn Michaels stays retired or not, remains to be seen but I will go on record in saying that Shawn Michaels has to be the greatest of all time. I honestly think that no one will ever do what he did in pro wrestling. It all started at a young age for Shawn. The smartest thing he ever did was follow the career of Ric Flair because Flair had the ability of making people so much better then they actually were. Flair made guys like Sting, Luger, Magnum T.A., and others.

Shawn Michaels had a knack for making people into bigger stars then what they were before they worked with him. Let' think about the Clique itself. Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Sean Waltman, and Triple H did not get big until they were associated with Shawn Michael. When Scott Hall became Razor Ramon and Nash become Diesel they were on top of their game. Triple H was starting to become big when he and Shawn teamed up to form DX and from there HHH's career took off and they never left each others side. Shawn made every member of the Clique a legend in the wrestling buisness. Shawn Michaels also helped elevate the careers of Edge, Randy Orton, and many others in the WWE that are still around today.

When I think of how great of Shawn Michaels,  I think of the last seven and a half years of his career. When he made his return in 2002 he was better then he was the first time around. I look at every Wrestlemania match he has since he's come back and they all have been good. Here is who Shawn wrestled in last eight Wrestlemania's.

He has not a bad Wrestlemania match since he has come back in 2002. All of these matches were phemonenal in their own way. Since Shawn Michaels returned in 2002 he has won the World Heavyweight Championship, and won the Tag Team titles twice. Shawn really never needed a title to prove he was the best because all he had to do is go out and perform in the ring. One of the greatest things I saw on TV was when Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart buried the hatchet on Monday Night Raw. It needed to be done and it was great to see both of them get some closure.

From a personal perspective, I love Shawn Michaels because he is a born again Christian who brings his faith to the ring and on TV. In 2002, when just two weeks before I had open heart surgery Shawn had his first match back in four and a half years. I told myself if Shawn can come back, then I will be able to come back. I was so excited when Shawn back at Summerslam 2002. He proved that he was still the best when he defeated Triple H in their streetfight. My whole view of pro wrestling changed with Summerslam 2005. It was Shawn Michaels vs. Hulk Hogan. Going in to that match Hogan was still my first favorite and Shawn my second. After the match Shawn beacme my favorite and here's why. Shawn proved that he could make people look so good and that he wasn't in it for himself. Shawn may have lost the match against Hogan but he made me realize what wrestling was about. It's about helping others and getting others over other then yourself. That's what Shawn was about, and that was about getting others over.

Shawn Michaels will go down as the greatest wrestler of all time. No one has done what he has done. He may not have had the limelight Flair or Hogan did but if you followed pro wrestling in the 90's you would know Shawn Michaels had the best matches of anyone that was wrestling. Shawn Michaels will always be the "The Showstopper," "The Headliner," "The Main Event," and "The Icon." Most importantly Shawn Michaels will simply always be known as "The Heartbreak Kid (HBK)" Thank you Shawn for the memories, the moments and congratulations on a wonderful career that will never be duplicated. Shawn Michaels has left the building...

WWE NXT- Episode 6 Recap

Last night NXT probably had it's best show yet. The Pro's Poll was revealed and it looked like this:

6. Skip Sheffield
7. Michael Tarver
8. Darren Young

I think Otunga should be atleast 3rd, but the bottom three are pretty much accurate. I have not been impressed with any of them so far in the 6 weeks they have been doing it.

There was only two matches again this week, and the first was a tag match between R-Truth, Matt Hardy, CM Punk and Wade Barrett taking on Christian, Carlito, William Regal and The Miz. Wade Barrett filled on for Chris Jericho and got the win for his team with some help from Jericho that went unseen by the referee.

The Main Event was a Battle Royal with the winner of the match being the Guest Host of Monday Night Raw. The winner of the Battle Royal is David Otunga and he will guest host this weeks Monday Night Raw. What a great honor for him. Like I said my two favorites are Daniel Bryan and David Otunga. TNA Impact Recap- 3/29/2010

Last night on Impact Hulk Hogan and Jeff Jarrett made peace with each other and Hogan gave JJ a match against AJ Styles. Right after that Jay Lethal came in and did the Mega Powers handshake the Hulkster which was absolutely hilarious. For those of you who don't watch TNA Jay Lethal does the old Macho Man Randy Savage gimmick and calls him self Black Machismo. He does it almost as good as the original himself.

The first order of buisness was the Wolfpac came out to try and offer Eric Young a spot in their group. EY didn't accept and went aftet the Band. The Band starting beating down Eric until RVD and Jeff Hardy made the save. Hardy said that it would be a steel cage match.

The first match was Shannon Moore and Kazarian versus Doug Williams and Brian Kendrick. I love the X Division. It was a really good match and I think Shannon Moore has got a bright future ahead of him. WWE dropped the ball with him and I think TNA will use him the way he should have been used all along. Moore and Kazarian win and keep proving why the X Division is the best division in pro wrestling.

A lot of crazy things happened between matches like Samoa Joe resurfacing again and acting all weird. The Pope also got the best of Chelsea and Desmond Wolfe during an interview

The second match was Tara versus Daffney in a First Blood Match for the Knockouts Title. Not much really going on here except Tara took out Daffney pretty quick with toobox to the head causing Daffney to bleed.

Then there was Jeff Jarrett versus AJ Styles. Jarrett and Styles always have great matches and this one was no different. In the end, it was the interference from Ischoff and Flair allowing AJ to get the win.

Up next was Jay Lethal versus Beer Money Inc in a handicap match. Lethal won because Beer Money did too much showboating and Lethal had a funny celebration after the match where drank Beer Money's beer. Bischoff didn't look to happy so I am sure we will start seeing more out of Jay Lethal.

D'Angelo Dinero versus Desmond Wolfe was another classic match between the two. I really like the rivalry these two have. Wolfe won but I think The Pope is well on his way to becoming TNA Heavyweight Champion. He deserves it because of how much talent he has.

Before the main event Angle and Anderson exchanged words about Lockdown and their lives. This is going to be an explosive match at Lockdown and I for one cannot wait for it.

The main event was Jeff Hardy, Rob Van Dam and Eric Young versus The Band. I didn't really care for the match but it was great to see EY, RVD, and Hardy get crazy at the end to win the match. The show ended with Abyss naming Jeff Jarrett to his team for Lockdown. Next week Angle vs. Anderson in a Ladder Match. Check back next week for the recap on that

The Final Four is Here

Well I can certainly say that March Madness has definitely shocked me this year. There have been a lot of upsets, and a lot of buzzer beaters. The final four for Men's Bracket are Michigan State, Butler, Duke and West Virginia. Duke is the only number one seed among the four teams. Here is when they will be playing.

Carwin Shocks the World at UFC 111 and more

So I finally got a chance to watch UFC 111 and I was totally shocked at what happened. The Interim Heavyweight Championship bout between Frank Mir and Shane Carwin did not go the way I thought it would. In fact Carwin took out Mir in the first round which just absolutely nuts. Now Carwin faces even a bigger challange on July 3rd on that's against Brock Lesnar for the Unified Heavyweight Champion

In the Welterweight Title fight between Dan Hardy and champions St. Pierre, St. Pierre defeated Hardy by unanimous decision (50-43, 50-44, 50-45) to retain his UFC Welterweight championship. I think everyone knew that was going to happen and I have a feeling that St. Pierre will have that title for a long time to come.

Hockey Weekly

The playoffs for hockey started two weeks ago just like basketball did and unfortunately I did not fair as well. I was in the championship bracket but I got knocked out but the first place team.

The only two categories I won were A and +/-. My players for the two weeks were Zach Parise, and Patrick Marleau. I now will be playing to to determine who will finish 3rd and 4th for the year. I have a had a pretty decent year in hockey and I hope that I can go out with a bang. Check back in two weeks to see how I did.

Basketball Weekly

Well the last two weeks I've been in a playoff matchup for the consolation bracket. This is how it went down after two weeks.

The categories I won were FG%, REB, STL, BLK, and PTS. My players of the two weeks were Luis Scola, Beno Udrih, Tayshaun Prince, and Al Jefferson.

Now I move on to play for 6th place overall in the league. This will also be a two week contest so check back in two weeks to see how I did and to get a recap of the entire year.

Wrestlemania 26 Results and Recap

Last night at Wrestlemania 26, careers and lives were changed forever. A lot of things happened that I didn't think were going to happen. Thr first match of the night was John Morrison and R-Truth taking on the Unified Tag Team Champions, The Big Show and Miz. It was a solid match for both teams but in the end Big Show had the knockout blow.

The next match was the triple threat match between Orton, DiBiase and Rhodes. This match went exactly the way I thought it would except for the ending. I really thought DiBiase would have won the match but Orton took out Rhodes with his signature punt and pinned DiBiase after an RKO. Both DiBiase and Rhodes gained some much need experience and will now go on to have pretty good singles careers. The viper proved again why he is still on top of his game.

The biggest shocker of the night came during the Money in the Bank. I really thought Christian would have won but he didn't. During the match Kofi, Christian, Evan Bourne and Matt Hardy all did some great moves off of the ladder. In the end, it was Jack Swagger who captured the Money in the Bank briefcase. That was huge and I honestly didn't think it was going to happen. Jack Swagger can now cash the briefcase in at anytime for the WWE or World Championship.

One of my favorite matches of the evening was Triple H and Sheamus. I really didn't have high expectations for this match but it was really awesome. I thought Sheamus was going to beat his off-screen mentor but Triple H proved once again why he is the game and he is that damn good.

CM Punk had been torturing Rey Mysterio for weeks but on this night Rey Mysterio got his revenge. Rey beat Punk in a solid match to keep Rey out of the StraightEdge Society. Rey Myseterio hasn't lost a Wrestlemania match since 2004 which I find that pretty impressive.

Bret Hart waited 13 years to get his hands on Vince McMahon, and with help from the Hart family, he destroyed Vince for a good 10-15 minutes. I for one didn't particularly care for the match because it was all one sided and all about Bret. I do like the fact that the Hart Dynasty got involved. That will probably bring their careers to new heights. Bret Hart went out on top the way he should have all along.

The next match was for the World Heavyweight Championship. Champion Chris Jericho took on challanger Edge. This match definitely had a different outcome then I expected. Jericho retained the title with a Codebreaker but Edge destroyed him after the match. I thought the match was done very well and both Canadian born superstars proved why Stu Hart trained some of the best wrestlers in the world.

The most pointless match of the night was the 10-Diva Tag Team Match which saw Vickie Guerrero pay tribute to her late husband Eddie Guerrero and actually hit a frog splash, which was the finishing move of Eddie. It was a good match but I didn't think it needed to be on Wrestlemania. They should have used that time to put towards Punk/Rey or the triple threat.

The WWE Championship match between John Cena and Batista was way better then the match they had at Summerslam back in 2008. I think the reason being is because the buildup was better, and that Batista was such a great heel. I think this was one of the best matches that either one of them have had in awhile. Cena countered the Batista bomb with the STF to win the WWE Championship once again. It was a great night for all those who love John Cena.

Then the match of matches, the streak vs. the career of Shawn Michaels was the main event of the evening. This match was truly an emotional match to watch. Both men for the second year in a row put everything on the line and left it in the ring. A lot of people didn't think this match would be as good as last years but in my opinion I thought it just as good as last years. They hit their finishers multiple times on each other but in the end the defiant Shawn Michaels was hit with the Tombstone and hit with the fact that his career is over. After the match Undertaker helped Shawn up and embraced him in the ring letting Shawn have his moment. The show ended with Shawn walking up the ramp and taking one last bow.

I really felt Wrestlemania 26 was better planned out then Wrestlemania 25. The reason Wrestlemania 26 was better is because the best match was the last match. It seemed like all the matches were great and then they had Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels at the end to make sure it didn't overshadow the rest of the card like it did last year. The only other time a non title match was the main event at Wrestlemania was at Wrestlemania 8 when Hulk Hogan took on Sid Justice. Obviously that match doesn't even compare to what Shawn and Taker did last night. I would rate Wrestlemania 26 8 out of 10. Wrestlemania is over and now it's time for the fallout to begin tonight. Who knows whats going to happen. Stay tuned.

Road to Wrestlemania 26- Week 8

Well this is, it was final week leading up to Wrestlemania 26. A lot of momentum was gained and lost with people this week. Monday Night Raw started with Shawn Michaels talking about his Wrestlemania match against the Undertaker. Undertaker aired a video package of Shawn Michaels career with it ended saying "Shawn Michaels career: 1985-2010." Pete Rose then came out and announced Shawn vs. Kane for later on during the night. John Morrison defeated The Miz in one on one competition showing why gaining momentum into Wrestlemania can be very important. Kofi Kingston defeated Vladimir Kozloff to finally get into Money in the Bank. All I got to say it's about time. In my opinion Kofi should have been the first one in it. I am really hoping he or Christian wins it. Sheamus, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase def. Triple H and Randy Orton in a 3-on-2 Handicap Match. A brawl ensued after the match with Triple H standing tall on his way to Wrestlemania.

There were two confrontations with one of them ending in a brawl. Bret Hart and Vince McMahon exchanged words but nothing happened. The second confrontation between John Cena and Batista ended in a brawl. I personally can't wait for this match on Sunday. I think it's going to better then Summerslam 2008. Shawn Michaels did take on Kane and despite interference from Undertaker Shawn won the match and is on his way to possibly what could be his last match at Wrestlemania. Can the showstopper deliver a performance of a lifetime or will his show be stopped?

I watched Smackdown early because somehow it gets posted on the internet early but anyways the show ended with a 10 man tag that includes Drew McIntyre, Matt Hardy, Shelton Benjamin, Kane and Dolph Ziggler taking on Evan Bounre, Kofi Kingston, MVP, Jack Swagger and Christian. McIntyre got the pin on Christian and a brawl broke out after the match. Beth Pheonix lost in a 5-on-1 handicap match agaisnt Michelle McCool, Layla, Alicia Fox, Maryse and Vickie. Nothing special here. Jericho and Edge had their confrontation with both men staring each other down. The last match before Wrestlemania was R-Truth taking on the Big Show. The match ultimately got thrown at because it all broke loose between the two teams fighting this Sunday.

This Sunday it's all on the line at Wrestlemania 26 and nothing gets held back. Everyone is bringing their A game. Here is the final card for Wrestlemania.

WWE NXT- Episode 5 Recap

Not much happened WWE NXT this week. In fact their were only two matches this week. The first contest was Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel took on Skip Sheffield and Wade Barrett. Christian and William Regal showed up to see how their pro's did. Slater and Gabriel got the victory and which pleased Christian and ticked off Regal.

The second match had Darren Young and David Otunga taking on Michael Tarver and Daniel Bryan. Daniel Bryan was in the match the whole time and Michael Tarver refused to tag in. The Straight Edge Society helped Otunga and Young get the win. Carlito didn't look to happy with Tarver after the match.

At the end of this week this where each wrestler is, in terms of their record.

Bob Uecker Named to the WWE Hall of Fame

Every year the WWE has a celebrity inductee that gets inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for their contributions to being on a Wrestlemania. This year's celebrity inductee is Bob Uecker. Uecker whose baseball career was less then stellar is more known for being a commentator and being in the Major League movies. He does have to accomplishments in his baseball career and those are the Ford C. Frick Award in 2003 and being a part of the 1964 St. Louis World Series championship team. He's done commentating for NBC, and ABC.

In terms of WWE and Wrestling he appeared on Wrestlemania 3 and 4. He's most known for his interaction with Andre the Giant and Jesse Ventura. He also had the hots for Vanna White at Wrestlemania 4 as well. I've always enjoyed Bob Uecker and thought he was funnier then hell in the Major League movies. He played such a good drunk and it was funny. As a baseball and wrestling fan it's could to see Mr. Baseball get some much deserved recognition.

Uecker joins William "The Refrigerator" Perry and Pete Rose as the only other celebrities to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Congratulations to all the other inductees this year. You all deserve it.

Wrestlemania 26 Predictions

As of last night the Wrestlemania 26 card is official and final. Here are the matches along with my thoughts and predictions.

Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk (If Punk wins, Mysterio joins the Straight Edge Society)
This could actually be the match of the the night. CM Punk has always wanted to wrestle Rey Mysterio at Wrestlemania and now he gets his wish. I think Mysterio wins and avoids being put into the Straight Edge Society.

Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Ted DiBiase
This match will be a great match but I think Ted DiBiase will win the match. He's inducting his father into the Hall of Fame the night before and it's he grew up in Arizona as a little kid. I think you're going to see some great things from all three but DiBiase will highlight the match.

Triple H vs. Sheamus
Most people don't know but Sheamus is Triple H's training partner so in a lot of ways it's teacher vs. student without that being shown on TV. I think Sheamus is going to have biggest victory of his career. I really love how Triple H is taking a step back out of the Main Event and letting the spotlight shine on someone else. He knows he has to start building the younger guys up for their to be a future in WWE. This match is a start.

Unified WWE Tag Team Championship
ShoMiz (The Big Show and The Miz) (c) vs. John Morrison and R-Truth
I think Morrison and Truth will win because WWE needs something dynamic and no one is more dynamic then these two. I think it's time that Morrison and Truth will be all over the place on Sunday and they will walk away with the gold.

No Holds Barred
Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon
Thirteen years fans have waited for this and I really think that Bret Hart is going out the way he should have all along. Bret Hart will give Vince the beating of his life and he will leave with a happy ending. Bret will prove that he still is the best there is, the best there was and perhaps the best there ever will be.

Money in the Bank ladder Match
Christian vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Kane vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Jack Swagger vs. Montel Vontavious Porter vs. Matt Hardy vs. Evan Bourne vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston
Well in my opinion their are two guys I am picking for this match. I really think Kofi Kingston or Christian will win. They are the most two deserving of a title shot. Kofi is definitely the future of the WWE if they actually use him right. I am glad they gave him more of an attitude and made him more serious. As far as Christian goes, it's a given. He is World Champion material and he proved that in his time in TNA. WWE needs to see the same thing and give him a chance to shine even more.

WWE Championship Match
Batista (c) vs. John Cena
The first time around Batista won the match and in my opinion the match sucked because there was no buildup. I think this match is going to be awesome because of the insane buildup. I think Cena will win the match and prove again why he is the biggest star in WWE, as much as I don't like him. This is the dream match everyone has waited for and this time it's done be right. Cena will get the gold back once again.

Undertaker's undefeated streak vs. Michaels' career
No disqualification, No count-out
The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels
I think we all have to face the facts that Shawn Michaels career is over and that The Undertaker will go 18-0. It's going to be hard to repeat what they did last year but because their are no rules in this match I see something crazy happening. If Shawn's going out, he's going to go out in a blaze of glory. I think this match will be match of the year again. Farewell Shawn you have had a wonderful career.

World Heavyweight Championship
Chris Jericho (c) vs. Edge
Edge will complete his comeback journey by winning the World Heavyweight Championship. How ironic is it that Stu Hart is being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and two of his students are in the main event of Wrestlemania. I think these men are going to show why Stu Hart was the greatest Wrestling trainer in this business and they are going to have a classic World Title match. Edge will walk aways being a 10-time World Champion.

TNA Impact Recap- 3/22/2010

Last night on TNA Impact the show started off with Eric Bischoff playing his guitar in the ring saying how he's a musician and that it disgusts him that Jeff Jarrett uses the guitar as a prop. Jarrett comes and wants to hit Eric but then walks aways. Eric proceeds to talk about Jeff's children so Jeff comes back and smashes Eric with a guitar. When it comes back to the commercial Bischoff announces Foley vs. Jarrett in a match and whoever loses is fired from TNA. The special guest referee are Beer Money.

The first match of the evening was Tara, Sarita, Taylor Wilde and Angelina Love taking on The Beautiful People and Daffney. This match was all over the place and was actually a very good match. Unfortunately for Tara she tried getting her spider back and lost the match because she lost focus.

Hulk Hogan came out an announced that Abyss will be the captain of Team Hogan and Sting will be the captain of Team Flair. Sting, and AJ ambushed Hogan and Abyss until The Pope came out and made the save. Don't forget it will The Pope vs. AJ Styles at Lockdown for the TNA Championship.

The second match of the evening was for the TNA Global Championship between Rob Terry(C) and Tomko. This was a squash match in every sense of the word. I love what they are doing with Rob Terry.

The third match of the evening as Jeff Jarrett taking on Mick Foley in a loser gets fired match. Both men brought their A game but in the end Jarrett hit the Stroke and pinned Foley. Foley is gone from TNA for good. After the match Beer Money attacked Jarrett until RVD and Jeff Hardy made the save. Beer Money accepts Hardy's and RVD's challange to a match later on.

In the third match Hernandez tried to get some revenge on Matt Morgan but it wasn't so. Hernandez recieved a Carbon Footprint into the ring post and was taken out by ambulance. His former LAX tag team partner Homicide was by his side. Hogan and Dixie Carter also were in the back making sure Hernandez was okay. More on this situatuon next week but I guarentee you Hogan will have something instore for Matt Morgan.

Then there was the Main Event of the night which had Match Five Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam taking on Beer Money Inc. Now these are the kinds of matches I am talking about. All these guys are fairly young and can still put on great matches so this is what TNA needs to do. RVD and Jeff Hardy got the win but after the match Eric Young grabbed a microphone and said he was taking on The Band next week. The show ended with the three posing in the ring. Next week is going to be great so tune in.

Even More NFL Moves

There is still a lot of movement in the NFL going on so I try to update what's going on about once a week. So here are some of the bigger moves that have taken place.

The Arizona Cardinal agreed to terms with LB Joey Porter on a three-year contract. This will definitely make the Cardinals defense a lot better then they were. The Arizona Cardinals also agreed to terms with QB Derek Anderson on a two-year contract. With Kurt Warner retired it's a battle between Anderson and Leinhart as to who becomes the new starting QB in Arizona

The Washington Redskins signed QB Rex Grossman which will put more pressure on their current QB's to get the job done.

The Cincinatti Bengals agreed to terms with S Roy Williams on a one-year contract. This will definitely make Cincy's backfield a lot better and will also help them have better coverage on pass plays.

The San Fransisco 49ers signed QB David Carr to a two-year contract. They also traded QB Shaun Hill to Detroit for an undisclosed 2011 draft pick. Speaking of Detroit they lost Larry Foote to free agency who ended up re-signing with Pittsburgh.

Those are the latest moves in the NFL. The NFL Draft isn't to far from happening so it should be interesting to see what else happens before then. Stay tuned for more.

TNA Destination X Results

Last night was TNA Destination X and it was definitely high flying and explosive. The first match of the evening was a Ladder Match for the number one Contendership of the TNA X Division Championship and it was Kazarian vs. Daniels vs. Brian Kendrick vs. Amazing Red. This match got crazy in a hurry. It was fast pace, and non stop action. Kaz eventully won the match and became the new number one contender.

The next match was Tara taking on Daffney. It was a quick match that saw Tara keep her title but Daffney took off with her spider. Unfortunately this feud is far from over. In another quick match, Rob Terry defeated Brutus Magnus to keep his Global Championship. Rob Terry has been on a role and I really think this guy could be a future World Heavyweight Champion.

Next up was the number one Contendership for the TNA Tag Team Championship and it was an Ultimate X Match between Generation Me and The Motor City Machine Guns. This much was definitely the best match of the night. The Machine Guns eventually won the match thanks to Chris Sabin's experience and now have a shot the Tag Team Championships. I will say this though, Generation Me was awesome. I've never seen anyone do the stuff they did last night. They definitely have a bright future in TNA.

Well the Kevin Nash and Eric Young vs. Scott Hall and Syxx Pac went a little differently then I expected. Nash turned on Young allowing Hall and Pac to get their contracts. The Band is back together and I have a feeling they are going to do Eric Bischoff's bidding for them. I have a feeling Nash/Hall/Syxx Pac will feud with Jarrett/Foley/Young and it will be a match a Lockdown. Who knows though?

In another X Division match the X Division Championship was on the line between champion Doug Williams and challanger Shannon Moore. Shannon Moore had things going his way until Doug Williams hit him with a brick and busted him open for the win. After the match Williams mocked Moore and the entire X Division saying he's better then all of them.

The next match was a strange match for the TNA Tag Team Titles. It was between the dysfunctional team of Hernandez and Matt Morgan taking on challangers Beer Money Inc. The whole match Matt Morgan refused to help Hernandez but eventually Beer Money made a mistake and Hernandez capitalized with the win. After the match Morgan took out Hernandez and carried both tag titles to the back with him. Can you say tag team nightmare? I think we are going to see an LAX reunion pretty soon.

One of the best matches of the night was Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Anderson. This match was a knockdown dragout and it could have gone either way. Kurt Angle got the win but Anderson kept running his mouth even after his lost. This is another feud that I think is far from over.

The Main Event of the evening was between TNA Champion AJ Styles and Abyss. This was a great match that got chaotic towards the end. Ric Flair interfered, Hulk Hogan interfered with Earl Hebner and Desmond Wolfe also got involved. In the end Abyss chokeslammed AJ Styles through the ring and sent Flair and Wolf along with him. The show ended with Hogan and Abyss posing in the ring together.

What an awesome pay-per-view and I cannot wait for the fallout of it on Impact. Lockdown is just a few short weeks away and I for one cannot wait for it. Until then keep checking back for Impact recaps and Lockdown matches.

Bristol- Half a mile of fun and excitement

So after a week off of racing we come back to race at one of my favorite tracks. Bristol is one of the shortest tracks NASCAR drivers race on during the season. This makes for tight racing and leads to many cautions. It also provides many on the edge of your seat moments for fans.

So the race started out smooth with Joey Logano leading with Kurt Busch following a close second. In the first six laps the lead changes three times. Joey lead the starting lap, only to be passed by Kurt, who then lost the lead to Jimmie one lap later. Jimmie then goes on to puts five drivers one lap down by lap 30. Kurt closes the gap and retakes the lead from Jimmie at lap 30. Jeff Gordon battles Jimmie for second place and almost passes him.

At lap 40 Dave Blaney gets a flat tire and the field is put under caution. Travis Kvapil gets the lucky dog pass and advances from a lap down to lead lap. Joey, Kurt and Jimmie all pit with different car problems. Joey says he's too tight, while Jimmie says he's too loose. Kurt Busch wins the race off pit road and takes position behind race leader Brad Keselowski.

Lap 48 sees Brad lead the field to green flag racing. Trouble ensues at lap 60 when Clint Bowyer slams into the wall and heads back to the garage with a blown engine. Jimmie leads the field to green with Jeff close on his heels. David moves up to third, Juan Pablo Montoya moves up to 5th, Tony Stewart moves into 7th.

At lap 113 David Reutimann drops a cylinder and heads back to the garage. Just two laps later Denny Hamlin goes into the wall at turn two and brings out the 3rd caution. Jimmie, Kurt, Jeff and Juan all pit at this point for adjustments. Kurt leads the field to green by lap 123 only to be passed by Biffle who takes the lead.

Rain on the track causes a the 4th caution at lap 127. At lap 143 the track is dry and Greg Biffle leads the field to green flag racing. On lap 152 Daytona winner Jamie McMurray reports that he is feeling ill due to fumes leaking into his vehicle. On lap 205 Kasey Kahne reports having problems with his tires and breaks before scratching the wall. This causes caution number five and Denny Hamlin gets the free pass.

Dale Jr moves up to 8th by lap 216. Meanwhile Greg, Montoya, and Kurt are all trading the lead. Caution 6 flies at lap 263 when Kyle Busch has tire troubles and gets really friendly with the wall in turn one. Pit road is open and most of the lead cars come down pit road. Kurt Bush wins the race off pit road and leads the field to green.

At lap 290 Jimmie Johnson is in 3rd, Jamie McMurray is in 5th and clarifies that the jet dryer fumes are what made him sick. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is on the move and is currently holding 6th spot. Things continue to run smooth with cars getting laped and drivers fighting for position until lap 323. Regan Smith has tire troubles and kisses the wall with his car bringing out caution number 7.

Kurt Busch wins the race off pit road and becomes lead car. Dale Earnhardt Jr is penalized for speeding on pit road. The field goes green at lap 331 and Kurt Busch has a really good restart, jumping out in front of Jimmie Johnson for the lead. Jamie McMurray is running fourth, while Brad Keselowski and Carl Edwards battle for 17th.

The "big one" occures on lap 342 brining out the 8th caution. Greg Biffle makes contact with Mark Martin sending Martin into the wall. A chain reaction causes many other drivers to collide in an attempt to avoid the collision. All in all 13 cars are involved in the accident with two being top five drivers. Those involved were Greg Biffle, Mark Martin, Carl Edwards, Jeff Gordon, Joey Logano, Marcos Ambrose, Kevin Harvick, Kevin Conway, Juan Montoya, Brian Vickers, David Regan, Ryan Newman and Martin Truex Jr.

Kurt leads the field to green at lap 358.David Regan makes repairs and comes back on the track. Jimmie is able to hold of Jamie McMurray for second place. He continues to hunt down Kurt and is steadily closing the gap between them. Greg Biffle makes his way back to 4th and Jeff Burton holds off Matt Kenseth for 5th.

Caution 9 comes out at lap 390 as rain finds its way to the track a second time. Pit road is open and as many cars come down to pit, Brad Keselowski and Jeff Gordon elect to stay out. Brad is running in first place, Jeff in second and Elliot Sadler in third as the field goes green at lap 411.

Brad Keselowski gives up the lead to Kurt Busch as Jimmie Johnson begins to hunt down the race leaders. Jamie McMurray moves into 4th and is stopped from gaining 3rd by Brad Keselowski. Jamie and Brad race hard but Jamie is finally able to take third place by going to the high side. Kurt attempts to stop Jimmie from taking the lead and the two race hard for it.

The 10th and final caution of the day comes at lap 482 for debris on the track. Greg Biffle takes the lead as many cars come and go off pit road. Matt Kenseth has moved to second place at this point. Greg Biffle leads the field to green at lap 490. Tony Stewart takes the lead and fights to stop Jimmie from taking it. Jimmie finally passes Stewart to claim first, Kurt falls to third. The white flag flies and Jimmie Johnson wins the race at Bristol

So much happening on such a short track. Well it made for interesting racing and next week should be just as good. It's time to head off to Martinsville. Check back in a week to see how the race went!

Road to Wrestlemania 26- Week 7

This week on the Road to Wrestlemania, we saw many rematches on Raw of past Wrestlemania's. The show opened up with Stone Cold Steve Austin talking about the night's agenda. John Cena then came out for Wrestlemania 20 rematch against The Big Show. Cena had things in hand but was distracted by Batista, and that allowed Big Show to win the match. Divas Champion Maryse defeated Kelly Kelly in a match that wasn't even worth watching. In a Wrestlemania 19 rematch Shawn Michaels defeated World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho by Count-out. Edge then came out to spear Jericho again. Triple H and Randy Orton ended in a No Contest when Legacy and Sheamus interfered in the match. This setup a handicap match for Monday pitting Randy Orton and Triple H against Sheamus and Legacy. In the Main Event WWE Champion Batista defeated Kofi Kingston. Then what surprised everyone Bret Hart revealed that he was not injured and attacked Vince after they signed their contract.

Smackdown was just as crazy as Raw was. The show started out with John Morrison and R-Truth defeated The Hart Dynasty. I really wish The Hart Dynasty was involved with Wrestlemania ecspecially considering that Bret is but what are you going to do? Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler defeated Matt Hardy and MVP which was a highlight of some of the Money in the Bank Ladder match participants. Luke Gallows defeated Rey Mysterio but before the match Mysterio accepts Punks challange to a match at Wrestlemania. In the Main Event, Undertaker defeated Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre but then was attacked by Shawn Michaels to end the show.

TNA Destination X Predictions

This Sunday is Destination X and it will feature a lot of the X Division wrestlers and then some. In my mind TNA has been on a role even though the ratings don't show it. I think if people tune in to this pay-per-view people will realize how good TNA really is. Here are my predictions for this Sunday


TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
TNA World Champion AJ Styles vs. Monster Abyss
Well as AJ pointed out Monday Abyss has never beaten him before but I think that will change this Sunday. I think Abyss will become the new TNA World Champion and have a title reign longer then a month this time.

THE ULTIMATE X MATCH
Generation Me vs. Motor City Machine Guns to determine #1 Tag Team Division Challengers
I really think Generation Me is going to win this match. The fans are solidly behind them and they are getting a huge push. They remind me of another version of the Hardy Boys and I think that's why they are so popular. I love the MCMG but they have held titles before and I think they are going to feud over they tag titles eventually.

TNA GLOBAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Champion Rob Terry vs. Magnus
This one is easy, Big Rob Terry will win this match. He's on a roll, the fans love him now and he's a monster that won't be stopped unless it's by another monster.

X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Champion Doug Williams vs. Shannon Moore
Magnus won't be the only losing a match that night either. I really think Shannon Moore is finally going to be able to show his true skills that he never got show in WWE. Shannon will also have the title put on him to try and get certain friends of his attention.

TNA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Champions Matt Morgan and Hernandez vs. Beer Money
I am not sure about this but the way things are going between Morgan and Hernandez I think Beer Money will win the titles and go on to dominate the tag team division. I think Hernandez and Morgan will break up their team and feud with each other.

CHALLENGE MATCH
Mr. Anderson vs. Kurt Angle
This rivalry is awesome. Their is so much hatred between these two and it's a rivalry that never happened in WWE. I honestly don't think this rivalry will end Sunday. It will continue until Lockdown. I think Kurt Angle will win this match and make it even against Mr. Anderson

KNOCKOUTS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Champion Tara vs. Daffney
Do I really care? I hate Daffney's character and I hate the fact that she is a sloppy wrestler. I think Tara will keep her title and fight a lot more deserving challangers then Daffney.

TNA CONTRACT - OR LEAVE THE COMPANY FOR GOOD
Eric Young and Kevin Nash vs. Hall and Waltman
Well I will tell you what I think. I think Nash is going to lay down and let Hall or Waltman pin him and reform the band. All four of them will then take out anyone they feel neccessary. That's what I think, will it happen? probably not. I think this is another feud that people have been dying to see and it will come to it's conclusion at Lockdown in April.

LADDER MATCH
Kazarian vs. Daniels vs. Amazing Red vs. Brian Kendrick
This is the match I want to see the most. This will be the show stealer and the one that gets everyones attention. All four men will be fighting for a shot at the X Division title and I think Brian Kendrick will win and go on to to feud with Shannon Moore, another feud that never happened in WWE.

The way I see TNA is putting out their best product on Sunday and I think it's going to be a great pay-per-view. Don't be surprised you see something happen with Hardy, RVD, Sting, Foley or Jarrett. I am sure will all be in the Impact Zone on Sunday. Check back on Monday for the recap and results of the pay-per-view.

WWE NXT- Episode 4 Recap

Well another episode of WWE NXT has come and gone. The show started off with CM Punk and Darren Young defeating Matt Hardy and Justin Gabriel. Although Young got the win, he was beatdown by Luke Gallows after the match. It was an interesting match to say the least. Punk and Young are two totally different characters so it's funny to see them interacting with each other.

The Miz has been not so nice to his rookie, Daniel Bryan and put him in a match in which he lost to The Great Khali. The Big Show also interfered in the match and chokeslammed Bryan. Daniel Bryan has not won a match yet on NXT but the people still love him.

Another match that was interesting was when Heath Slater defeated Michael Tarver. Slater won the match but Tarver leveled him after the match using his boxing skills that he has. Tarver has not won a match yet but he is still looking pretty hungry.

In the Main Event Wade Barrett defeated Skip Sheffield. Sheffield was without his WWE Pro William Regal and left to fend for himself. Wade Barrett looks impressive and Sheffied looks like a joke with his character. I'll be curious to see who gets those contracts. Rumor has it, that the winners have already been revealed but I am not mentioning names. Stay tuned for more.

Gorgeous George Named to the WWE Hall of Fame

When I think of Gorgeous George I think of someone being flamboyant and charismatic. I have seen old videos of him and he was so outrageous in the 40's and 50's. He wrestled for 30 years and died at a young age of 48. Even major stars like Muhammad Ali and James Brown said they were influenced by George Wagner and his character in the ring.

Gorgeous George held the AWA World Heavyweight Championship at one point in his career. He also feuded with Bruno Sammartino, Lou Thez, and Classy Freddie Blassie. Gorgeous George may be gone but he will never be forgotten. All these years later and he's finally being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Gorgeous was way a head of his time and was the first star to be controversial, and outrageous in the ring.

Congratulations to Gorgeous George for being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Stu Hart named to the WWE Hall of Fame

All I got say is, it's about time. One of the greatest wrestlers, trainers and men in professional wrestling is now going to be in the WWE Hall of Fame. Let me just start by listing all the wrestlers Stu Hart trained. Here is the list:

Abdullah the Butcher, Kip Abee, Gene Anderson, Ben Bassarab, Chris Benoit, Craig Baranieski, Steve Blackman, Bad News Brown, Larry Cameron, Justin Credible, Dynamite Kid, Edge. Ricky Fuji. "Superstar" Billy Graham, Bret Hart, Bruce Hart, Keith Hart, Owen Hart, Ross Hart, Smith Hart, Shinya Hashimoto, Billy Jack Haynes, Mark Henry, Johnathan Holliday, The Honky Tonk Man, Chris Jericho, The Junkyard Dog, Gene Kiniski, Klondike Bill, Tim Le Strange, Jos Leduc, Paul LeDuc, Jushin Liger, Luther Lindsey, Mike Michaels, Gorilla Monsoon, Jim Neidhart, Reggie Parks, Eduardo Miguel Perez, Brian Pillman, George Scott, Sandy Scott, Ken Shamrock, Gama Singh, Davey Boy Smith, The Stomper, Lance Storm, Greg Valentine, Nikolai Volkoff, and Fritz Von Erich.

Now that's a Hall of Fame list right there in itself. His legacy is carried on by all of these men but it doesn't stop there. There is also the family tree which consists of the inlaws and grandchildren that include Jim Neidhart, Natalie Neidhart, Harry Smith, and Teddy Annis. All of them still active in wrestling today.

Stu Hart never worked for WWE, NWA, or AWA. He never held any of their major championships. He ran his own wrestling promotion called Stampede Wrestling until it was bought out by Vince McMahon. Stu is in a class of his own and definitely deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

Congratulations to Stu Hart for being inducted into the Hall of Fame. I know you'll be there in spirit as your family inducts you.

Tiger Woods Returns to Golf

Well it's finally official, Tiger Woods will be returning to golf, in April for the Masters. A lot of people are worried that there will be a media frenzy and because Tiger really hasn't answered any questions yet so it's going to be chaotic. Tiger has never done well with layoffs and I honestly don't think he will do well in the tournament.

He is going to be so distracted by fans, the media and he will be distracted by his own personal thoughts that he is not going to have a great game. People are saying that the members of the PGA are happy to have him back because of TV ratings, and things of that nature. I think the PGA isn't to happy because it's going to be a media frenzy on their biggest event, and all the Golfers will be distracted. All I can say is tune in on April 8th when the Masters begin and see exactly what happens.

TNA Impact Recap- 3/15/2010

Impact started off with Abyss, Hulk Hogan, Jeff Hardy, and Rob Van Dam getting out of a hummer together. AJ Styles and Ric Flair made their way down to the ring and talked trashed on Abyss and Jeff Hardy. Hardy then came out to the delight of the crowd and AJ then challanged him to a match for later on that night and Hardy accepted.

Eric Bischoff then told Mick Foley because of his role in trying to help Jeff Jarrett out last week he was going to shave his head and beard and make him into a citizen. Eric Bischoff was a busy man last night. He prevent Hogan from going after Sting. He was a little upset with Hogan for bringing RVD and Hardy in. What else? He continued to make Jeff Jarretts life a living nightmare by making him a referee in a match between Beer Money and Hernandez.

The first match of the evening was between The Nasty Boys/Jimmy Hart and Team 3D. Jesse Neal was suppose to be Team 3D's partner but he was replaced with Brother Runt(Spike Dudley). The Nastys got the victory but then were all laid out by Jesse Neal and Team 3D. This war is far from over and I think there will be a match at Lockdown between the two teams.

The second match was between Mr. Anderson and Desmond Wolfe taking on Kurt Angle and D’Angelo Dinero. This was a solid match between both teams and in the end D'Angelo Dinero got the win for his team. After the match Wolfe and Anderson beatdown their opponents.

The third match was between Angelina Love and Daffney which was interesting because The Beautiful People got involved and then Tara came in and cleaned house of everyone involved. I really like the feud between Angelina and The Beautiful People. It's good television.

For the fourth match Scott Hall took on Kevin Nash in a 5-Minute $25,000 Challenge. If Hall could last five minutes with Nash, then he would win the money. Well Syxx-Pac and Eric Young got involved and Hall ran with the money. Hall still does not look like he's in wrestling shape but hopefully he will live up to expectations on Sunday.

In the fifth match Beer Money took on Hernandez with Jarrett as the special guest referee. Matt Morgan came out but did not help Hernandez. Instead he left his partner to fend for himself. After the match Jarrett and Hernandez cleared the ring of Beer Money.

A lot of things happened between matches. Some of the X-Division wrestlers got into brawl and it ended in a very chaotic way. Then Mick Foley decided to shave Eric Bischoff's head and left him totally embarrased.

The Main Event of the evening was between AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy with special enforcer Abyss. This was an awesome match. AJ is really coming into his own as a heel and Jeff has made a huge statement. Hardy won the match but what happened afterwards was crazy. Abyss chokeslamed Flair through part of the stage to end the show. Destination X is this Sunday and a lot is going to go down. Check back this week for my predictions.

Hockey Weekly

Well this week in Hockey was a great one. Here is how it turned out
for me. I did really well so here are the results.

Hollywood's World of Sports 7-3-0
Anaheim Penguins 3-7-0

The categories I won were G, A, +/-, PPG, SOG, W, and GAA. My players of the week were Dany Heatley, Patrick Marleau, and Miikka Kiprusoff. I am now 115-91-14 which puts me 3rd in my division and 4th overall. I am still in the playoff picture for now. I am doing really good this year in hockey which surprises me. Keep checking back to see if I make the playoffs.

Basketball Weekly

This week in basketball I lost in another good effort and there is no shame in losing to the best team in your league. Here is how it went down this week.

Hollywood's World of Sports 2-6-0
Nate's Playmakers 6-2-0

The only categories I won were FT% and REB. My players of the week were Al Jefferson, and Beno Udrih. I am now 70-88-2 which puts me in 4th in my division and 8th overall in my league. The season is almost over which I can only be happy for. It's been a real struggle this year for me. I started off so great at the beginning and look it where I am at now. Keep checking back each week until the season is over to see how I do.

More Major NFL Moves

Well there is a lot more movement in the NFL since I wrote about it last. Here are some of the big deals that have gone down.

LaDainian Tomlinson agreed to a contract with a New York Jets and is likely to be the back up for now. I think he will see a lot of playing time as the season goes on next year.

Jake Delhomme signed a two year contract with the Cleveland Browns and is now their starting Quarterback. The Browns also released Derek Anderson and traded Brady Quinn to the Broncos. The Browns obviously have no faith in their team if they went from bad to worst. I honestly do not think Jake will do any better there.

These are just some of the moves that have happened in the NFL. I am sure you will see more movement during and after the draft. Keep checking back for more updates on free agents, and trades in the NFL.

Road to Wrestlemania 26- Week 6

Some very interesting things happened on the Road to Wrestlemania this week and Raw started off with a bombshell. The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels confronted each other and the stipulation of NO DQ and NO COUNTOUT was added to their match at Wrestlemania. The Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show and The Miz took on John Morrison and R-Truth. The match ended in a no contest after chaos broke out and the dynamic duo of Morrison and Truth took out The Miz and Big Show. Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase took on Randy Orton in a handicap match and won the match. After the match they beat him down and enjoyed it.

Triple H and Sheamus made their match official for Wrestlemania when a brawl between the two took place. This should be a great match. Evan Bourne defeated William Regal to get into the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. In the Main Event Mr. McMahon defeated John Cena in a No Disqualification Handicap Gauntlet Match. Kofi Kingston tried coming out to help but he was overwhelmed by Batista.

Stone Cold Steve Austin is the special guest host next week and three matches that are taking place are Wrestlemania rewind matches. They are John Cena vs. Big Show (WrestleMania XX), Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho (WrestleMania XIX) and Triple H vs. Randy Orton (25th Anniversary of WrestleMania).

On Smackdown Drew McIntyre got himself in the Money in the Bank Ladder match thanks to Mr. McMahon. Now their are nine superstars in the match. That should be interesting. Big Show defeated John Morrison but then R-Truth beat The Miz with some help from Daniel Bryan. Kane and Luke Gallows end in disqualification when CM Punk got involved, and Mysterio came out to even the brawl up. Punk the challanged Mysterio to a match but got no answer. Chris Jericho also got his revenge on Edge leaving him laying in the ring as the show ended.

Rumor has it, is that Kofi Kingston will be the 10th participant in the Money in the Bank Ladder match. I also think their will be two more matches made. Those two would be a Triple Threat Match between Orton, Dibiase and Rhodes. The other match would be Punk vs. Mysterio. Stay stuned to see what happens. News and Notes in Sports

Well there's really not any big stories coming out today or yesterday so I'll just recap some of what's been going on. Let's start with athletes who are going to be on TV soon. The Celebrity Apprentice Starts Sunday and there are a few athletes on the show and they are Darryl Strawberry, Bill Goldberg, Michael Johnson and Maria Kanellis. The show airs on NBC every Sunday.

The other show that will have athletes on it is the upcoming season of Dancing with the stars and those athletes include Evan Lysacek, Chad Ochocinco and ESPN's Erin Andrews. That show will start March 22nd on ABC.

The Cincinatti Bengals have signed Wide Reciever Antiono Bryant to a deal which probaby lessens the chance that Terrell Owens will be a Bengal unless he signs a lower deal. I would love to see T.O. in Cincy where he could possibly make some noise.

Nomar Garciaparra has retired after fourteen years. The six-time All Star joined the Red Sox for a day so he could retire as Red Sox. He was the 1997 AL Rookie of the Year and 2006 Comeback Player of the Year. He never won a World Series but he had good numbers including a Batting average that was .313, with 229 Home runs, and 936 Runs batted in. You also have to put into perspective he was injured a lot towards the end of his career so his numbers aren't spectactular but they were solid.

That's really all that I can think of right now. If any big news story break, I'll be writing about it.

Message to TNA Wrestling Critics

You know I am tired of reading all this crap about how bad TNA is and they can't compete with WWE because of the rating they got on Monday night. First the WWE had been around since 1952 and TNA has been around since late 2002. Things aren't going to happen overnight. TNA is now starting to get some attention because of Hulk Hogan and others who are there. TNA never got the attention they are now.

Secondly, TNA has one thing WWE doesn't have anymore and that's "Attitude." Remember that era in wrestling. It was the greatest era in pro wrestling because WWE was unpredictable and they pushed the edge. WWE has been stale, predictable and not even exciting ever since the Invasion angle died in 2001. Sure they have had their moments and have had great pay-per-views like Wrestlemania but it's not as great as it once was.

TNA is a combination of Ring of Honor, the old ECW and WCW in it's a prime. You put all three of those together you have a great promotion. TNA also has another thing WWE doesn't have and that's Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam and Mr. Anderson. All still in their primes who are being used better then they ever were in WWE.

The one thing that will carry TNA for a long time is the X-Division. The X-Division should have their own show which I think eventually will happen. It's great to watch wrestlers from all over the world.

Lastly, I like what TNA is doing. They are using the legends to get the attention and then showcasing their young guys and their helping build the younger guys up. For example, Hogan building Abyss, and Flair building AJ Styles. I am really looking forward to more of TNA Wrestling. At least they have blood, and physicality, unlike the PG rated WWE. TNA is here, and it's going to be here for a long time.

WWE NXT- Episode 3 Recap

Last night on NXT there was still a lot of tension between The Miz and Daniel Bryan. They actually teamed together and The Miz said that if Daniel got pinned and lost the match it would be the last time he would be on NXT. Well they got beat by R-Truth and David Otunga. However The Miz is the one who got pinned and then Daniel Bryan called out The Miz on his lost.

In the second match Heath Slater defeated Carlito. If you missed it last week Carlito spit and apple in Heath's face to end the show last week. Heath had Christian in his corner and Michael Tarver was in Carlito's corner. This was a good a match for Heath.

The Main Event saw Justin Gabriel defeated Wade Barrett. Wade worked on the back most of the match but in the end, Gabriel's acrobatics got him a victory. Gabriel was then on the recieving end of a beatdown from Chris Jericho to end the show. It's really hard to say which rookie stands out. All of them have done really well so far. I still like Daniel Bryan and David Otunga. Keep checking back for more on WWE NXT.

Is NASCAR becoming a free for all?

I like hard racing and wrecks just as much as any NASCAR fan. The question for me is, Is NASCAR doing enough to prevent over aggressive racing? While they did give drivers the go ahead to "have at it" but when does that become a problem? I've seen too many people go after another driver for an incident earlier in the race.

While retaliation isn't unheard of in NASCAR, it's something that should be taken a bit more seriously. I can understand coming up behind someone who's hit you into a wall and bumping the back of them ever so slightly. As long as it's straight on. I think drivers tend to forget just how light and easy to damage their cars really are.

One of the worst handled cases being at Atlanta. Around lap 40 Brad Keselowski got loose and had no room. He ended up hitting Carl Edwards who ended up sliding up the track and hitting the wall. Looking at replays, which Carl was able to do, you can see Brad got loose. Later in the day at lap 323 Carl intentionally turned his car into Brad's.

While he may not have meant for anything to happen, Brad's car became airborne. Brad hit the wall upside down and was taken out of the race.
At this point Brad was running in sixth and Carl was 157 laps down. NASCAR immediatley black flagged Carl and called him into the NASCAR hauler. Officials sited him for aggressive driving and had him go to talk with officials.

What angers me the most is that Carl really acted like he didn't care. His response to the whole thing was "Well Brad knows the deal between me and him. I didn't mean for it to go down that way and as drivers we need to have respect for each other. Hopefully we can move on from this and not have any more incidences. That would be the best thing."

WHAT??? Carl had just wrecked a car, put Brad's life in danger, put the fans who were sitting in the stands in danger, caused a messy cleanup process and intentionally took Brad out of the race. The other thing that angered me was that as punishment Carl is on a THREE RACE probation.

This makes no sense to me. Robby Gordon and Juan Pablo Montoya were both suspended for longer than three days for intentionally causing wrecks. They were also both fined and docked points every time they intentionally caused a wreck. Robby has been fined for swearing and throwing a helmet after someone wrecked him. Countless other drivers have been fined or suspended for wrecks far less destructive. Yet all Carl gets is a slap on the wrist, a don't do it again and a we're watching you.

Carl Edwards used to be one of my favorite drivers. Now I'm disgusted with hhim. He showed poor judgement and sportsmanship. He intentionally endangered not only Brad and the fans, but the cars who were behind Brad as well. I hope Nascar reconsiders his punishment and decides to send a stronger message.

Brad Keselowski had it right when he said "NASCAR now has the ball. If they're going to allow people to intentionally wreck each other. They're putting the drivers in danger and the fans in danger. Allowing someone to wreck another driver at 195 miles per hour is uncalled for." I agree with Brad and am deeply disappointed with how NASCAR has handled this incident.

Atlanta: Home of Speed and.... Cautions!

So we finally arrive at the fastest Speedway in the series. Atlanta were drivers reach speeds of roughly 200mph. This makes for really fast and close racing, as well as, dangerous racing. The total number of cautions numbered 11 and at least 3 cars were taken out of the race.

Cautions came out early at Atlanta and then they came out somewhat frequently. The first caution flew at lap 4 when Robbie Gordon's tire came apart sending him into the wall. At lap 34 David Ragan has a right front tire go down bringing out the second caution.

Lap 40 sees Carl Edwards get tapped by Brad Keselowski. Edwards slides up the track into Joey Logano and both hit the wall. Caution waves for the third time as Edwards and Logano head to the garage area. This incident starts the animosity and anger between Edwards and Keselowski.

The fourth caution of the day came at lap 78 for debris in Turn 2. Later at lap 114 Mark Martin has a rear tire go down. He spins out and the fifth caution flag of the day is waved. Joey Logano's right front tire goes down, tearing up his car and bringing out the sixth caution. Debris on the front stretch brings out the seventh caution at lap 224. Denny Hamlin blows a tire on lap 288 resulting in caution number eight. Lap 293 sees Elliot Sadler and Max Papis saying hello to eachother and the wall. This results in the ninth caution of the night.

At lap 323 Brad Keselowski is running in sixth place. The tenth caution is caused when Edwards decides to take his revenge for the earlier inciden and bumps Keselowski. Keselowski becomes airborne and hits the wall hard and then hits the ground on his roof. Keselowski's car is wrecked and Edwards is black flagged. His car is parked and he is called into the NASCAR Hauler.

The eleventh caution came at lap 332 after Kurt Busch passes Paul Menard to take the lead. Jamie McMuray get's loose and hits Clint Bowyer. Mark Martin, Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr and Denny Hamlin are all involved. The race has run more miles than expected so the second of three green, white, checkered flag runs is attempted.

The field goes green and Kurt Busch takes the lead. He manages to hold off Matt Kenseth to win the race. Even though Kurt won I think Kasey Kahne did the best job this race. The three main people during the race were Kurt, Kasey and Montoya. For most of the race they were running in the top three. Denny Hamlin lead for a few laps but eventually forfited the lead to Montoya.

The race was fast, furious and very close. Kurt and Kasey traded lead spots many times and Montoya stayed in the top and fought to lead too. In the end I'm kinda glad that Kurt won. I haven't seen a Busch brother win in a while and Keselowski was taken out, Kurt won it for the team.

Next stop is Bristol, a half mile track filled with bump drafting, close quarters racing and many cautions! Reach up and tighten those belt one more time! It's time to go racing!

TNA Impact Recap- 3/8/2010

Last night was an incredible night for TNA Wrestling. The show started off with a bang when Hulk Hogan and Abyss took on Ric Flair and AJ Styles right away. Part way through the match Sting showed up and took out Hogan and Abyss shocking the world with his heel turn. Flair and Styles took advantage of the situation and bloodied their two opponents. Hogan then got on the mic and said at the end of the night the match will be restarted with no dq's, and and no countouts. They then showed Sting telling Dixie Carter that he owes her nothing and shoved her into a wall. Dixie then said Sting will have a match later on in the night.

The second match of the evening was Kazarian vs. Christopher Daniels vs. X Division Champion Doug Williams. This was a great contest that was non stop all the way. Eventually Williams won the match with his rolling german suplex. After the match Shannon Moore made his debut and attacked Doug Williams. Eric Bischoff then came out and announced Shannon Moore vs. Doug Williams at the Destination X for the X-Division Championship.

Next up was a three way match for the vacated Knockouts tag team titles between Taylor Wylde/Sarita, Tara/Angelina Love and The Beautiful People. The Beautiful People won the tag titles with some help from Daffney and then proceeded to celebrate backstage with JB.

Sting the came out to the ring to face his unknown opponent, who turned out to be Rob Van Dam. RVD made his debut and beat Sting in about 30 seconds. After the match Sting attakced RVD using his trademark baseball bat. He hit RVD atleast 10 times, hit Hogan with it once again, and hit mutliple security guards. Sting was definitely out of control.

Kurt Angle came out with member of the Armed Forces and told Mr. Anderson that you never mess with an American Soldier. Anderson continued to mock Angle and the soldiers until Angle attacked him. Angle and the American soldiers all beatdown on Mr. Anderson. The soldiers hoisted Kurt up on their soldiers and celebrated. This was a great moment, and a great way to honor our Armed Forces.

Kevin Nash and Eric Young came out and had a one match contract for Hall, and Waltman at Destination X. However Waltman and Hall said if they win they get permnant contracts with the company. Eric Young then defeated Waltman an impromptu match made by Eric Bischoff.

Jeff Jarrett got beat in a handicap match against Beer Money with Foley as the special ref. Foley tried helping but it didn't work. I think you're going to see Foley and Jarrett start to team up to make things right for themselves again. Stay tuned for more on that.

Throughout the night people were advising Hulk Hogan not go back out to the thing ring. He told Bubba, Brooke and even his partner Abyss that he had to. The match was on and it was a war between both teams. Hogan was bloodied, Flair was bloodied and it was pure chaos. Abyss eventually got the pin on AJ Styles but after the match things were out of control. Desmond Wolfe and The Pope got involved in the brawl. Then out of nowhere Jeff Hardy comes out and takes out Styles, Wolfe and Flair and the show ends with Hardy giving a Swanton Bomb to AJ Styles.

All I got to say is what a great night for wrestling and a great night for TNA. I really like how TNA keeps pushing the edge with the realistic storylines. I love the X-Division, the blood and the competition. The characters are getting better and the TV show is getting better. I honestly think TNA Wrestling is going to have a huge year this year. Major Moves in the NFL So Far

There has been a lot of wheeling and dealing in the NFL since free agency started. Here is all that's happened so far. I've listed them in the order that they happened.

-Jacksonville Jaguars signed DE Aaron Kampman
-Baltimore Ravens acquired WR Anquan Boldin from Arizona for a 2010 third- and fourth-round pick and signed him to a four-year contract.
-Carolina Panthers released QB Jake Delhomme, DT Damione Lewis, DT Maake Kemoeatu, LB Na'il Diggs and LB Landon Johnson.
-Chicago Bears agreed to terms with DE Julius Peppers on a six-year contract and TE Brandon Manumaleuna on a five-year contract and RB Chester Taylor on a four-year contract.
-Detroit Lions agreed to terms with DE Kyle Vanden Bosch on a four-year contract. Acquired DT Corey Williams from Cleveland for a 2010 fifth- and seventh-round draft pick.

Right now I think the Bears are the biggest winners. It seems to me that a few teams are in rebuilding mode like Carolina, Arizona, and even the Detroit Lions. I think the Lions are finally starting to get it, but then again maybe not. A lot of more free agent signings to come. There are a lot of great players out there who need home. The draft is six weeks away and look for some more big things to happen. I'll keep you posted on all that happens.

Hockey Weekly

After a bit of time off for the Olympics hockey resumed this week and I won but it was close. Here is how it ended up this week.

The categories I won were A, +/-, PPG, SOG, and W. My players of the week were Patrick Marleau, Martin St. Louis, Dany Heatley, Stephen Weiss, and Marc-Andre Fleury. As of right now I am 108-88-14 which puts me 3rd in my division and 4th overall in the league. Keep checking in to see if I make the playoffs and win the championship. It could end up being a great year for me in fantasy hockey. Stay tuned for more.

Basketball Weekly

This week in basketball was another disaster. I can't seem to win a week to save my life. Here is how I did this past week.

The only two categories I won were FT% and 3PM. My players of the week were Kevin Martin, Luis Scola and Lou Williams. I am now 68-82-2 which puts me 4th in my division and 8th overall in the league. I have no chance of making the playoffs. I started off really good this year and then things justed falling apart for me. Keep checking back for how I do the rest of the year.

Road to Wrestlemania 26- Week 5

This week on the Road to Wrestlemania, things were heated in every sense of the work. A lot happened and two more matches were made. Raw started out with Shawn Michaels coming out talking about his match with The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 26. Triple H then came out and said he believed in him and they invoked their rematch clause against the Big Show and Miz. The first match of the evening was between Randy Orton and Ted DiBiase which ended in disqualification when Cody Rhodes came out and helped Dibiase. It was then announced that Orton would face Dibiase and Rhodes in a handicap match this Monday. The second match saw Jack Swagger def. Santino Marella in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match. Swagger made short work of Marella and put himself in the greatest pay-per-view of year. MVP def. Zack Ryder in the Money in the Bank Qualifying Match. MVP has a lot of M.I.T.B experience and looks to win the briefcase at Wrestlemania 26.

In the Main Event Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show & The Miz defeated DX when The Undertaker showed up on the screen and distracted Shawn. After the match Triple H was attacked by Sheamus and the show ended with Sheamus standing over Triple.

On Smackdown the first match of the evening saw R-Truth and John Morrison defeated Cryme Tyme and The Hart Dynasty in a Unified Tag Team Title Qualifying Match. R-Truth and Morrison will face ShowMiz at Wrestlemania 26. The second match saw Rey Mysterio defeat Luke Gallows and escape a GTS from CM Punk. In another competative Matt Hardy defeated Intercontinental Drew McIntyre in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match. Speaking of Money in the Bank, Shelton Benjamin defeated Dolph Ziggler in a solid match. These two will be going for the briefcase at Wrestlemania. The main event had Edge pitted against Big Show. What a great match that saw Edge hit his spear for the win. This was actually a really great Smackdown and it was a good build up for Wrestlemania.

TNA Impact Recap- 3/4/2010

This week on TNA it was a busy week for a few stars. The show started out with Ric Flair and AJ Styles attempting to apologize to Hulk Hogan for their actions. They were going to give him four women. Hogan declined and was ready for a fight. Eric Bischoff came out and said AJ would defend his title against The Pope, Abyss, and Desmond Wolfe later on in the evening.

The first match of the evening was a fatal four way tag team match that had Motor City Machine Guns vs. Generation Me vs. Beer Money Inc. vs. World Tag Team Champs Matt Morgan and Hernandez. All four teams had some involvement but it was Beer Money getting the victory after miscommunication between Morgan and Hernandez. These two teams will face each other at Destination X for the title tag titles.

Eric Bischoff has made Jeff Jarrett's life a living hell as of late. He's made him a cook, a janitor and puts him in matches that he feels that Jeff can't win. Jeff got jumped by Sean Morley but then defeated Tomko later in the night. How much longer with this feud go on.

The next match was X Division Champion Doug Williams vs. Global Champion Rob Terry. Terry made short work of Williams but Magnus and Williams double teamed Big Rob. The British Invasion has officially imploded. I honestly think Rob Terry is going to be a big star and will go a long way. Look for more big things to happen with Big Rob

The Main Event of the evening was a World Heavyweight Championship Match: Desmond Wolfe vs. Poop Dinero vs. Abyss vs. AJ Styles(c). This was a pretty good match with everyone getting involved. AJ eventually made Pope give up then an all out brawled ensued when Hogan came in cleared house. He used a barbwired baseball bat for the first time ever and hit Flair twice. The show ended with both sides wanting at each other.

On Monday TNA goes live and will be on Mondays for now on. I think it's going to be great and I think wrestling fans will be in for a great night. Stay tuned for more and keep reading my Impact recaps.

James Toney Signs with UFC

Former boxing champion James "Lights out" Toney has signed with the UFC. Toney apparently demanded a meeting with Dana White about transitioning from boxing to MMA. Toney has signed a multi-fight deal with terms not being known yet. James Toney has had a stellar boxing career and now looks to carry his success over to MMA.

He has many career achievements including being the former IBF Middleweight Champion, IBF Super Middleweight Champion, and IBF Cruiserweight Champion/ His win-loss record is 72-6-5. He was born in Grand Rapids Michigan and now lives in Ann Arbor. He's fought some pretty great boxers including Roy Jones, and Evander Holyfield.

It is uncertain when Toney will make his UFC Debut or what weightclass he will be in but one thing is for sure I think he will make in immiediate impact when he arrives. Stay tuned to see if Toney puts someones lights out.

Pro Bowl Returns to Hawaii

Well after one year of having the Pro Bowl outside of Hawaii, they have decided to move it back to Hawaii in 2011. Ratings were up this year for the Pro Bowl game but their are a lot of drawbacks right now. It's still going to be played before the Super Bowl which is dumb because 50 percent of the guys who were selected this year didn't even play.

The Pro Bowl is going to be played on Jan. 30th 2011, one week before the Super Bowl. It should also be noted that this coming years Super Bowl will be played in Arlington Texas this year too. I still think the Pro Bowl needs to be after the Super Bowl. It just doesn't make any sense to have it before. Maybe someday they will change it back.

WWE NXT- Episode 2 Recap

Last night was the second week of NXT and it started off with a rematch between Darren Young and David “A-List” Otunga. This match lasted longer then the first did and we got to see how good Darren Young is. Young won with some help from the Straightedge Society. Otunga was frustrated after the match so he and R-Truth got into it. I am sure we haven't see the last of this situation.

The second match was Wade Barrett taking on Daniel Bryan in a good contest that saw Bryan lose again, mainly due to his injury that he suffered from last week. Wade Barrett looked really impressive and being under the guidence from Chris Jericho is going to help him out a lot.

The Main Event was Matt Hardy and Justin Gabriel taking on William Regal and Skip Sheffield. This was a really solid match that saw Gabriel and Hardy defeat Regal and Sheffield. I still think it's going to come down to Daniel Bryan and David Otunga. They seem to have the most following and reaction. They are both perfect for WWE in their own way. Keep watching every Tuesday night to see who wins NXT and becomes the next big WWE star.

"Mad Dog" Vachon Named to the WWE Hall of Fame

Maurice Vachon wrestled throughout four decades in the NWA, AWA, and WWE. He was known for being vicious in the ring and having a very distinguished rough voice that made many fear him. He made is debut in 1950 and never looked back. He has had many great accomplishments in pro wrestling including:

-AWA World Heavyweight Championship (5 times)
-AWA Midwest Tag Team Championship (3 times)
-AWA World Tag Team Championship (2 times)

He also won various titles in the different NWA territories. Vachons legacy lives on through his daughter Luna who managed some great talent in the WWE including Bam Bam Bigelow, Bull Nakano, Gangrel, Goldust, Oddities, and the legendary Shawn Michaels. Mad Dog also has a brother and another daughter who were also in the wrestling business.

Mad Dog made various appearences in WWE in the mid 90's and still is seen in the independent scene. Congratulations to Mad Dog Vachon for being inducted in to the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2010

Basketball Weekly

Well I knew I shouldn't have gotten use to winning again because I got killed this week which should be no surprise at this point. Here is how I faired this week in fantasy basketball.
