Lakers vs. Magic in the Finals

The Orlando Magic in the finals? Yes Cleveland fails again and Lebron is probably one step closer to leaving for New York. Now personally I think this is going to be a quick four game sweep with the Lakers winning the championship but I could be wrong. Do I think the Magic could upset the Lakers? Yes because Dwight Howard is almost unstoppable and one of the best big men to play the game in awhile. Only time will tell and we will see what happen.

Final Prediction
Lakers win series 4-2

Mr. Kennedy Released

Well in a shocking turn of events, Mr. Kennedy has been released just a few short days after he made his comeback. Apparently he messed up a spot in the 10 man tag and Randy Orton took exception backstage. Mr. Kennedy had been injury prone the last year or so, and that's probably a lot of the reason he was let go. I personally think it sucks because he is a great entertainer and will probably end up in TNA Wrestling. Well so long to Mr. Kennedy....Kennedy.

Upset at UFC 98

So yeah I should have wrote about this a week ago but I guess better late then never. Lyoto Machida proved to be the thorn in Rashad Evans side. He knocked out him out cold in the 2nd round to win the UFC Light Heavyweight title. Also Matt Hughes finally shut Matt Serra up once and for all. It was good stuff but here is the thing I really love. Rampage Jackson was suppose to get a title shot but actually declined the title shot to fight his rival Rashad Evans. I don't know when this fight is scheduled to take place but when it does I will be watching. Speaking of fights I'll be watching, I cannot wait until July 11th, when Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir finally square off and decide who the Undisputed UFC Heavyweight Champion is. UFC 99 is a pretty quick so I will be watching that on PPV. Franklin vs. Silvia will be a classic that people won't forget.

Dale Jr. has new crew chief

In what was a less then shocking move Hendrick Motorsports fired long time crew chief for Dale Earnhardt Jr. Tony Eury Jr. was let go this past week after Little E finished 40th at Charlotte on Monday. His new crew chief is Lance McGrew. I have never heard of him but I hope to God he turns things around because as Jr. fan this season has sucked. Who knows if Jr. will even make the chase this year. This week is Dover and I hope he at least gets in the top 10. Well I don't even want to talk about Jr. anymore. I have nothing positive to say about the season right now.

Raw rocks the Staples Center

Last night WWE proved once again that they are one of the best sources of entertainment out there. They turned a negative into what was a very entertaining and funny positive. The night started out with Vince McMahon mocking E. Stan Kroenke and shoving him on his rear-end. They also had a fake David Stern, Jerry Buss and yes even a fake Jack Nicholson. The Miz made his presence felt by wearing a Lebron James jersey stating that the Cavs would win the championship this year. They also had Festus come out in a L.A. Clipper Jersey. It was quite humorous. However the big news of the night was the return of Mr. Kennedy.....Kennedy. He was the mystery man in the 10 man tag featuring WWE's version of the Lakers and Nuggets. Obviously the team sporting the Laker jerseys won the match. It was a fun night on Raw. The only bad news is, is that Denver won the game last night. Lakers may have lost but the WWE fans definitely won last night.

Hollywood's Rejects Players of the week

Six losses in a row, totally unbelievable. I am so sick of fantasy baseball at the moment. I am annoyed that I don't have the players I should. or the players I do have aren't producing like they should. Here is the final score

GR Mannys (GRM)(3-4)325.5
Hollywood's Rejects (HWOO)(1-6) 257.5

It wasn't even close. My top hitters were Casey Blake and Brandon Inge. My top pitchers were Jair Jurrjens, Scott Richmond, and Aaron Harang. Good job guys. My question is how many more games am I going to lose? It's starting annoy me. One can only hope for good results this week. Until next Monday, the hell with fantasy baseball.

Remembering Owen Hart, 10 Years Later

It was on this night 10 years ago that pro wrestling lost one of it's greatest performers of all time. Owen Hart fell to his death at Over the Edge 10 years ago. Owen was the youngest of the Hart clan and other the Bret, the most gifted. He was one of the best in ring competitors you will ever find. Owen had some classic matches with Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, and his older brother, The Hitman. The year I remember most was 1994 when he fought Bret at Wrestlemania 10, and Summerslam in the Steel Cage. They were two of the best matches I ever saw. I will also never forget the night the extended version of the Hart Foundation formed with Bret, Owen, Davey, Jim and Brian. It was so cool to see the whole family together. Ironically enough, the only to surviving members are the original Hart Foundation, Bret and Jim. Owen had a stellar career and other the not winning the WWE Heavyweight title, he was just as successful as his Bret was. Owen had a nice list of accomplishments that include:

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship
WWE European Championship
WWE Intercontinental Championship (2 times)
WWE Tag Team Championship (4 times) – with Yokozuna (2), The British Bulldog (1), and Jeff Jarrett (1)
King of the Ring (1994)
Slammy Award for Squared Circle Shocker- 1996
Slammy Award for Best Bow Tie- 1997

I'll never forget the Owen Hart Tribute the following night. It was very emotional and very touching. Ten years later, his death is still felt throughout the wrestling world. Owen I will never forget you, we will never forget you. The King of Harts will live on in our hearts forever

WWE Monday Raw now at the Staples Center

In a stunning turn of events, Monday Night Raw has moved out of Denver's Pespi Center and right into Los Angeles at the Staples Center. Oddly enough that's the home of the Lakers who will be in Denver playing the Nuggets. I also find it interesting that the Nuggets-Lakers game will be on at the same time as Monday Night Raw. WWE has announced a huge main event for Monday Night Raw which will be a 10 man tag.

WWE Champion Randy Orton, Legacy, The Miz & Big Show
vs.
U.S. Champion MVP, Batista, John Cena, Jerry Lawler & a fifth "player."

I wonder who could be the fifth player. I have an idea but I am not going to say it on here. You'll have to watch Monday Night Raw to find out. It's going to be fun to see what WWE does to poke fun of Denver and it's owner. I've seen a lot of crazy things in my time but I think this is most ESPN coverage the WWE has received in a long time. Any publicity is good publicity in the eyes of Vince McMahon. Stay tuned Monday Night to find out what happens.

CWM Mayhem Results

This past Sunday the CWM faithful gathered at the Latvian Hall for CWM Mayhem. The show opened with Paco Zimmer explaining why he wasn't at the Anniversary show in January. He then called out "Too Tough" Tommy Titus and awarded him the CWM Heavyweight Title and stated that if it weren't for Truth Martini's interference, Titus would have beaten Nate Mattson. Titus said he didn't want to just be handed the title. He would like to defend it. Commissioner Zimmer said he would defend it against "All Nite" Adam Renolds.

Later on in the night Truth Martini came out and said he had a guaranteed contract to be at ringside for any CWM Heavyweight Title match that took place regardless of who was in it. Eventually we found out later that he would be a factor in the outcome of the match as well.

The opening match saw two CWM regulars in Jack Verville and Louis Linden square off. It was a very competitive match, which went back and forth the whole time. Louis Linden a very impressive moonsault and as he went for the pin, the time expired and the match was a draw.

Up next was the Battle Royal for the vacated CWM Tag Team Championships. Participants included were Daniel Sigma, Morbid Angel, Jack Verville, Noah Lott, Louis Linden, Gemini Taylor, Scott EZ and the Canadian Hit Squad. The final four came down to both members of the Hit Squad, Noah Lott and Scott EZ. EZ eliminated John Campbell and then Noah Lott and EZ formed an alliance to eliminate Cody Kelley and win the CWM Tag Team Championships. This should be a very interesting partnership to say the least.

The third match of the night saw the returning Gameboy take on Jeff Brooks. Gameboy consistently went for the Power Glove he is so famous for but it eventually cost him the match and Jeff Brooks got the win and has been on a role. Will he be inline for any of the titles in CWM? We will have to wait and see.

Noah Lott then comes to the ring and issues an open challenge to Rastakhan citing that Rastakhan won by a fluke and that Noah was off his game at the anniversary show. Rastakhan comes out and Noah says that if Rastakhan can beat him he will win one half of the newly won tag team championship. Rastakhan dominated most of the match but Noah Lott got a pair of brass knuckles and hit Rastakhan when the referee wasn't looking. Noah got the win and kept his title. After the match he hit the Noah's Ark and told the referee to count 3 again adding insult to injury.

Noah Lott's tag team partner was also in singles competition as well. Scott EZ came out to defend his Kaos title against "The Connecticut Experience" Daniel Sigma. Sigma had a great strategy early on a worked the leg of EZ, but that all changed when EZ got to his feet and got a chair. Sigma refused to get back in the ring so the referee had no choice but to count out him. Sigma left the building, where did he go? No one seems to have a clue

Up next is T-D defends his title against Sebastien Rose. Both Rose and T-D have both been a role and it showed in this match. The match was back and forth and no one had upper hand until the time limit expired. After the 10 minute time limit expired, Rose asked for 5 more minutes and as soon as the bell rang for the restart T-D hit Rose with a vicious kick and got the win and retained his title. How will Rose respond next show? And who will be T-D's next opponent

The Main Event of the night featured Tommy Titus and Adam Renolds. The crowd was 50/50 on who to cheer for. Paco Zimmer was the special guest referee for the match. The match early on was controlled by Titus' power but that changed when Truth Martini came out and distracted Titus allowing Renolds to get the upper hand. Once Titus got back to his feet, the match could have gone either way. Renolds amounted a heavy offensive attack until Truth Martini jumped on ring apron and cost Renolds the match allowing Titus to get the pin and retain his heavyweight title. After the match Truth Martini and Tommy Titus shook hands and embraced each other forming a new alliance. Truth handed Titus the chain that cost Titus the title back in January and decked Renolds and Paco Zimmer with it. The fans were definitely in shock after this one and Paco Zimmer was quite upset saying that he doesn't no how much longer he can keep this up. The next show is August 16th at the Latvian Hall and there are a lot of questions leading up to the event.

What is N8 Mattson's reaction to the outcome of the CWM Title match? And will he comeback for a title he never actually lost?

Can Noah Lott and Scott EZ hold on to the Tag Title or will their personalities collide?

Will "Old Timer" Jeff King leave the commentary and return to competition?

How will "All Nite" Adam Renolds respond to what Truth Martini and Tommy Titus did to him?

What will Paco Zimmer's next move be? Or will he even be Commissioner next show?

Stay tuned to find out all the answers to these questions and more. August 16th at Latvian Hall. Don't miss it.

Bobby Lashley destroys another

A few nights ago, Mike Cook learned the hard way. Do not wear a Rey Mysterio mask to a MMA ring and mock professional wrestling when your opponent is a former pro wrestler. Bobby Lashley took out Mike Cook in a matter of 24 seconds to go to 3-0 in his MMA career. Lashley said his next opponent is going to be Bob Sapp. If I were Bob Sapp I'd be getting pretty scared because Lashley like Brock Lesnar is no joke. Here is the video of the entrances and the fight.

WWE vs. Denver Nuggets

Apparently their might not be a Monday Night Raw next week. Yes you read this correctly. Monday Night Raw was scheduled to be in Denver next week at the Pepsi. But guess what? The NBA and Denver Nuggets scheduled a playoff game on the same day. McMahon says he plans on being there and said that Stan Kroenke should be arrested for impersonating a good businessman. So whats going to happen next Monday Night? Who knows but it's going to be an interesting Memorial Day. For all we know Raw could be held in a freaking parking lot. Here is the video of what Mr. McMahon had to say.

Commentary with the Old Timer

Yesterday I had one of the best experiences I have ever had and probably look back and say it was the best wrestling experience I had when I first started out in commentary. I got to do commentary with a guy I personally respect and have admiration for. I've Old Timer Jeff King for a few years now and it was truly an honor that he asked me to do commentary with me at CWM's Mayhem yesterday. I can tell you this much, I don't think I ever wanted to laugh so hard in my life. He is such a funny and classy guy. He is also very colorful(I guess that's why they call it color commentary). I really enjoyed the experience of working with a veteran in the business.

It was one of those experiences you won't ever forget no matter where you go and what you do. I am just really glad I didn't get the vicious bear hug yesterday. That's not a good position to be in. I'll be back with the results of CWM at some point in the week.

Hollywood's Rejects Players of the Week

Well can you say five loses in a row. I feel my ego deflating faster then I can say baseball. I am now 1-5 in my fantasy league and got destroyed this week.

Busky's Bombers (BUSK)(6-0) 432.5
Hollywood's Rejects (HWOO)(1-5) 103.5

The bright spots of the week were Brandon Inge and Casey Blake. On the pitching side of things Andy Pettitte and Francisco Rodriguez did what they could for me this week. So I am hoping with a few changes in my lineup and pitching staff that I will get back on the winning ways soon. Until next Monday that's all for fantasy baseball....I am completely disgusted.

WWE Judgment Day Card

Tomorrow is WWE's Judgment Day pay-per-view and it looks like another solid card. Here are the matches along with my predictions.

John Morrison vs. Shelton Benjamin (Morrison wins)

Umaga vs. CM Punk (Umaga wins)

The Big Show vs. John Cena (Cena wins)

WWE IC Title Match: Rey Mysterio © vs. Chris Jericho (Mysterio wins)

ECW Title Match: Christian © vs. Jack Swagger (Christian wins)

WWE Title Match: Randy Orton © vs. Batista (Orton wins)

World Title Match: Edge © vs. Jeff Hardy (Edge wins, CM Punk cashes in Money in the Bank)

And for the first time since Wrestlemania 24 I will not be watching the pay-per-view at Buffalo Wild Wings. I've been pretty sick all week so I am going to stay home and watch it on my computer. I'll be back with more on Judgment Day Monday morning. Have a good one.

You finally have my attention

As most of you know I have never been much of a hockey fan but this years playoffs have really captured my attention. You have had Alexander Ovechkin vs. Sidney Crosby which has rapidly becoming one of the greatest rivalries in the modern era of sports. Then you had a very competitive series between the Ducks and the Red Wings. I'll always watch the Red Wings whenever they are on but that's all I have ever really cared about. Hockey is starting to draw my attention and interest.

It's now down to four teams in the playoffs. On the Western Conference side you have the Red Wings taking on the Black hawks, and on the Eastern Conference side you have the Hurricanes taking on the Penguins. We could see a rematch of last years Stanley Cup Finals with the Red Wings and Penguins. I know I'll be watching both series to see what happens. I am glad Detroit finally has something to root for this year because the Pistons and Lions sure didn't get done. Well enjoy the games and root for the Red Wings.

Early Suprises in Baseball

If you would have told me at beginning of the year that Toronto Blue Jays, Texas Rangers, and Kansas City Royals would be leading their divisions I would have called you an idiot. All three teams aren't just off to hot starts they are beating up everyone they are playing. As far as the National League goes, no surprises there. The Brewers, the Mets, and the Dodgers are leading the way. However the Reds and Giants are doing pretty well themselves.

When the season ends this is what I am hoping for the playoffs.

American League
Toronto Blue Jays
Detroit Tigers
Texas Rangers
Kansas City Royals

National League
Milwaukee Brewers
Chicago Cubs
Los Angeles Dodgers
Atlanta Braves

A year with a all the big market teams with the exception the Dodgers would be good for baseball. No one likes seeing the Yankees, Red Sox, and Mets in the playoffs anymore. A true baseball fan like myself got excited last year when the Phillies played the Rays in the World Series because it was different and new teams got to be there for once. I am really looking forward to the summer and seeing how everything turns out for each team that's leading their respective divisions. Come October the small markets could be dominating.

Remembering Chuck Daly

Sorry it's taken me so long to get to this but here I am now. I remember my first memories of growing up watching basketball were the Detroit Pistons and Chuck Daly. People will always remember him as the Detroit Pistons coach and the coach of the Dream Team in 1992. His record was 564–379 which is 13th best among NBA coaches. I remember Chucks demeanor, he always had a serious look on his face when he was coaching. And what about those suits he use to wear. He had some pretty classy suits that he wore. Chuck Daly will be remembered as the guy who turned the Detroit Pistons around and made them a great organization. Chuck you will always be remembered as the coach of the Bad Boys and the coach of the Dream Team. You will be missed.

You should have punched him out Magglio

So I am back after a few days of being sick but what made me even more sick is that a home plate umpire put his hands on Magglio Ordonez after he rung Magglio up for a strikeout. This proceeded really anger Jim Leyland and he ended up getting himself kicked out of the game. In my opinion the umpire should be fined and suspended. You don't put your hands on players if they can't put their hands on you. All I got to say is Paul Schrieber it's a good thing you didn't put your hands on me. I would have punched you out and faced the consequences. That's what Maggs should have done. I am really hoping that this lights a fire in Magglio's bat because he is really struggling this year. I am still in shock that an umpire would be that stupid to put his hands on another player. I will be very curious to see what comes of this and how Major League Baseball handles this. Stay tuned for more.

Hollywood's Rejects Players of the Week

Well for the 4th week in a row I have lost and I lost in really bad fashion. This is not good for me or the game of baseball...Just kidding.

Hollywood's Rejects (HWOO)(1-4)122.5
Edwards Play Makers (EDWA)(3-2)310.5

So yeah I didn't stand a chance. My best pitchers for the week were Jair Jurrjens and Francisco Rodriguez. Joe Blanton pitched good for me as well.

My best hitters were Bengie Molina and Richie Weeks. Other then those two no one did anything worth bragging about. Well I am already writing this week off because I am playing the only guy in the league that's undefeated. I am so screwed. I hope I can get back on the winning ways again. Well I'll be back next week with more fantasy baseball.

Barkley could be right

Recently NBA/TNT personality Charles Barkley stated that the Denver Nuggets were the team to beat in the playoffs right now. I would actually have to agree with Sir Charles because Denver is a lot like the 2004 Detroit Pistons because with Billups they are playing like a team and playing better defense. Some say the Nuggets are better then the 2004 Detroit Pistons.

I personally would love to see the Nuggets win a Championship because George Karl is one of the best coaches to never win a championship. Only time will tell if the Nuggets can make it to the finals. I think it would be good for basketball if someone unexpected went all the way to win it all. Stay tuned.

Manny Just Being Manny

Manny Ramirez- goof, lazy, ridiculous, and overrated. The thing that is a positive is he is one of the greatest hitters in the game of baseball. Unfortunately not even that matters anymore. Yesterday he was suspended 50 games for violating baseballs drug policy. Does that shock you? It doesn't me because Manny has pulled so much crap in his career. He even said at one point already this season he wants to go back to Cleveland. He's not worth the 45 million dollars that the Dodgers paid for him. I actually hope the Dodgers take some of that money away. I hope this will be the final message for baseball players not take drugs, steroids, substances or anything else to get ahead. Guys like McGwire, Bonds, Sosa, and even Clemens will never make the Hall of Fame now. Now guys like Manny, and A-Rod have put themselves in some serious danger of not being there as well.

I have no use for Manny, and never will. It just proves my point that the only good thing about him is his bat. Everything else is just ignored because of how good he is at the plate. Manny have fun until July 3rd and maybe you can get a haircut while your gone. See you in July!!!

The Brett Favre Saga Pt. 2

At this time last year it didn't bother me that Brett Favre wanted to comeback because of the way Green Bay treated him. It was fine by me, but now he has proved once and for all that he has lost his mind. He needs to stay home and have fun with his life. Okay so the Packers kicked you to the curb but to say you want to comeback for revenge is ridiculous. So whats your plan, play two games against the Packers and sit out the other fourteen? Stupid plan and a selfish one as well. I cannot imagine Favre in purple and yellow. It sounds absurd, hell the whole thing sounds absurd. Please Brett I am begging you stay out of football. Don't make a fool out of yourself and ruin your legacy. Football no longer has any use for you and you are no longer important to the game. So for the last time stay in retirement and don't embarrass a team that you want to play for like you did the Jets. Someone get me a drink, I am getting stressed hearing about Brett.

Big UFC fights throughout the summer

This summer looks like a big one for the the UFC. They have UFC 100, and the Ultimate Fighter UK vs. USA. Not only that, but there are some big matches taking place this summer. Here are some matches people have to look forward to

Rashad Evans Vs. Lyoto Machida- UFC 98
Matt Hughes Vs. Matt Serra- UFC 98
Rich Franklin Vs. Wanderlei Silva- UFC 99
Brock Lesnar Vs. Frank Mir- UFC 100
Georges St-Pierre Vs. Thiago Alves- UFC 100
Dan Henderson Vs. Michael Bisping- UFC 100
Mark Coleman Vs. Stephan Bonnar- UFC 100 (Sad thing is, it might not be televised)
Anderson Silva Vs. Forrest Griffin- UFC 101
BJ Penn Vs. Kenny Florian- UFC 101

So as you can see this summer will be filled with some big fights that could easily change the landscape of the UFC. I know UFC fans are licking the chops and they probably happy that Dana White and the UFC are trying to bring them the very best they possibly can give. It will be a very interesting summer for the UFC and I for one cannot wait....Stay tuned on who wins and loses.

Lebron James named MVP

Well in what was no surprise at all, Lebron James was named MVP yesterday. The two people behind him were Kobe Bryant and Dwayne Wade. Lebron has brought great basketball to the city of Cleveland. Something it's never really had. The Cavs have had good teams in the past but never really has the caliber of player like King James. I know Skip Bayless is probably flipping out right now because the guy he dislikes the most is the leagues Most Valuable Player. Do I think the Cavs will win it all? No because the Lakers are too good, and have too much depth. We will see what happens. Congrats to Lebron James on his achievement and I am sure it won't be the last.

Hollywood's Rejects Players of the Week

So for the the third week in a row I have lost and this time it wasn't close.

We're Juicin' (ROID)(2-2)283
Hollywood's Rejects (HWOO)(1-3)145.5

My top pitchers of the week were Carlos Zambrano and Kyle Lohse. Both pitched excellent for me. Francisco Rodriguez racked up some points for me as well. My top two hitters for the week were Jorge Cantu and Rickie Weeks. Other then those two, everyone else was silent. I hope this week I can get back on my winning ways. If I lose four in a row I am writing the year off. Hopefully my luck can turn around.

Ric Flair and NASCAR

I saw this video this morning and I couldn't help but laugh hysterically, but I think it's cool that the Nature Boy Ric Flair is promoting the NASCAR ALL STAR RACE ON MAY 16TH. Here is the clip.

I Love This Game

Last night proved once again that the Bulls and Celtics has instantly become a classic series to remember. They went into three overtimes and now the series is tied 3 games a piece. Ray Allen had 51 points and between him and Paul Pierce they tried everything to win that game. The big story of the game was John Salmons who had 35 points, and rookie Derrick Rose came up with a huge block towards the end of the game to help Chicago win. This game was just absolutely amazing and to quote the commercials for NBA, I love this game. This was one of the more exciting basketball games I've seen in a long time. Sitting at Uccello's in Grand Rapids, made the atmosphere more electric then usual. Most of the people there want to see Boston get knocked off. Either the Celtics are really not the good without Garnett or the Bulls have been sandbagging and better then their 41-41 record they had in the regular season.

All I can say is that tomorrow night at 8pm I will be sitting in front of the TV watching game seven on TNT. If Chicago wins the series they will have so much momentum going into the next round whereas if Boston wins they are going to be so worn out and without Garnett I don't think they make it past the second round. I could be wrong but I see Chicago winning tomorrow night and giving Chicago more to cheer about. We will have to wait and see what happens tomorrow night. I for one cannot wait.
