All Star Games Have Become a Waste of Time (Except for MLB)

This weekend both the NHL All Star Game and the NFL Pro Bowl will be taking place. In two weeks time NBA All Star Weekend. I can honestly say over the last few years I've grown to care less and less about each sports All Star Game. They have become such a waste of time and lack any real effort it would really take to win a game.

Let's look at the NBA All Star Game and it's festivities. I can't remember the last time I actually saw defense played in the game. Oh wait it was back in 2005 when the Detroit Pistons were in the All Star Game. The Pistons prided themselves on winning by defense. This is the way the All Star Game should be played. Even the festivities before the game have gone down hill. I remember when I was a kid I'd be inspired by the shooting abilities of Larry Bird and Glen Rice and I would be in awe as Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins would take flight for the Slam Dunk Contest. These days you have virtual unknowns participating in these events while the big stars of the sport sit on the sidelines. Why watch the events if my favorite players aren't involved with them. I think the NBA needs to offer more incentives to the big stars of the sports to compete in these festivities. I think it would make for better ratings and would increase interest in the weekend once again,

The NFL Pro Bowl is also ridiculous when it comes to having a high scoring game. There is very little defense played and you don't get the best efforts. The one thing I absolutely hate about the Pro Bowl now is that it's the week before the Super Bowl. So if your team is playing in the Super Bowl no one from those two teams can play in the Pro Bowl. I guess there is one way to look at and that is I'd rather be playing in the most important game of the year then playing in a game that doesn't mean a thing. However let's put this in perspective. This year there were ten Carolina Panthers voted into the Pro Bowl but because they are in the Super Bowl that is ten replacements you have to find in order to complete the rosters. They have less then a week to come up with the replacements so can you honestly say the best of the best from the year are really playing?  I say move it back to the week after the Super Bowl and let the best of the best from that year have their fun. 

I think the NHL All Star Game has the potential to be the most competitive of any of them but this year they are getting really foolish. They decided to make it 3 on 3 this year in hopes that more goals are scored. If we are going to do that then let's make it 6 on 6 with no goalie. Lets see how many goals can be scored without any defense, no hard hits and no fights. Let's have a scoring free for all. Do you see how ridiculous that sounds? When I think of what an All Star Game should be it is the best of the best playing to their absolute best potential so their side can earn a victory. The NBA, NFL and NHL all lack that definition. 

When it comes down to it, the best All Star Game is the played by Major League Baseball. Baseball has it right. Whoever wins between the American League and National League gets home field advantage for the World Series. The Home Run Derby features the best of the best in terms of home run hitters. A lot of money towards charity and fan participation is involved with the Home Run Derby which makes that much more fun to watch. Baseball also has the Futures Game which features the top prospects from around the world and it also features the Celebrity Game. From an all around point of view baseball does it best. The NBA and NHL could learn a thing or two from Major League Baseball. Whether or not they ever become competitive remains to be seen. Until they do I am not going to get myself emotionally invested and waste my time caring about who competes and who doesn't When I watch a sporting event I want to see competition and an All Star Game should be the ultimate form of competition. 

Road to WWE Wrestlemania 32: Week 1

This week begins in what I believe to be the best time of year in WWE. The Road to Wrestlemania has begun and the fallout from the Royal Rumble was very much felt this week.  Here is a recap of this weeks events.

It was a busy week in between all the matches. Triple H started his 14th reign as World Champion and had a pretty good promo about his intentions. The Rock showed up on Raw and punked out The New Day. Rumor has it that Vince is not happy with the way The Rock's segment went down but in my opinion it was entertaining as hell. AJ Styles had a pretty good first week in the WWE. He had a great showing in the Royal Rumble match, defeated Chris Jericho on Raw and defeated Curtis Axel on Smackdown. WWE has been signing some top names as of late. They signed Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Austin Aries and rumor has it Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson are on their way.

I like the fact that NXT is going to have a huge part in Wrestlemania. Even though they have their own NXT Takeover Special two days before I still think NXT should get atleast one Wrestlemania match. Their are guys out there like Samoa Joe, Sami Zayn, Finn Balor, Hideo Itami who are in ring veterans that deserve the big time spotlight. If history is any indication NXT Takeover Dallas is going to be a huge show that get Wrestlemania weekend started off on a high note. 

One big match was announced for WWE's next pay-per-view Fast Lane. It is a triple threat match between Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar with the winner going on to Wrestlemania to face Triple H for the WWE Championship. I think Fast Lane will be a very packed pay-per-view because it will give us a huge indication of what Wrestlemania is going to look like. For guys like Triple, Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, and Bray Wyatt their spot on the biggest show of the year is guaranteed. For superstars like Kevin Owens, Dean Ambrose, AJ Styles, The New Day, The Uso's, and many others who knows what the Road to Wrestlemania will look like. The big question I have is where is The Undertaker? I leave you with that question to ponder. Check back next week for more on the Road To Wrestlemania. 

Recap, Results, Review of WWE Royal Rumble 2016

Tonight was the annual Royal Rumble event that kicks off the year for WWE. It also marks the beginning of the Road to Wrestlemania. The Royal Rumble is always full shocking moments, surprising returns, and a clear picture of what Wrestlemania is going to look like. Before I begin with my thoughts here are the results.

-PreShow Match: Mark Henry/Jack Swagger defeated Darren Young/Damien Sandow, The Ascension, and The Dudley Boys to advance to the Royal Rumble match.
-Last Man Standing Intercontental Championship Match: Dean Ambrose defeats Kevin Owens
-WWE Tag Team Championship Match: The New Day defeated The Uso's
-United States Championship Match: Kalisto defeated Alberto Del Rio
-Divas Championship Match: Charlotte defeated Becky Lynch
-Royal Rumble Match for the WWE Championship: Triple H is the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion

I can honestly say the only thing that bothered me about tonight's event is if they were going to have Kalisto win the United States Title why have him win it, lose it two days later and then win it at the Rumble again. It should have been ultimately saved for the Rumble. There are some fans who are unhappy about Triple H winning the title but it made sense. With a depleted roster and no creative direction for Roman Reigns as champion it's the only thing that made sense. If you look at history it's not the first time a person in power held the championship. I can list so many examples but I don't want to focus on the past. I want to focus on the future.

Tonight show some glimpse into the future. As of right now I see Roman Reigns vs. Triple H, and Brock Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt at Wrestlemania. I also see Kevin Owens taking on Sami Zayn or the man who made his debut tonight which would be "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. I love how the Rumble builds feuds and gives us some surprises. I really think the guys coming in from the indy scene and the guys in NXT are going to have a huge impact on Wrestlemania weekend.

As I said before I don't have much to complain about because tonight was pretty self explanatory and the presentation of it came off well. This officially begins The Road to Wrestlemania so that means each week check back in for my weekly recaps on the Road to Wrestlemania.

Failing to Make an Impact: TNA Wrestling Wasted 3 Months of the Fans Time

Last night on TNA Impact Wrestling on POP TV, Matt Hardy once again became TNA World Heavyweight Champion. As I sat there watching this unfold I began to tell myself that I really wasted much needed brain cells on something that could have happened three months ago. Back at Bound for Glory in October Matt Hardy defeated EC3 and Drew Galloway to become the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. The story then called for EC3 to file an injunction because Jeff Hardy was the referee of the match and helped Matt win the title. This resulted in Matt Hardy vacating the title and the company not having a champion.  

From October 7th to January 5th TNA had the World Title Series. The sad thing is TNA had Bound for Glory was on October 4th but the TNA World Title Series was actually taped July 22nd through 25th and the time frame couldn't be any worse. So they go through all these matches and the finals ended up being EC3 and Matt Hardy. The finals took place on January 5th and to no one's surprise EC3 recaptured the TNA World Title. Out of all the possible outcomes with 32 competitors that is the best they could come up with?

Let's fast forward to last night. They did a double switch in where Tyrus turned on EC3 and helped Matt Hardy become the new champion. So now we have Hardy as a heel and EC3 as a face. This all could have been accomplished back in October. Prior to Bound for Glory, Matt Hardy had lost to EC3 in multiple title matches. If I were booking TNA Impact Wrestling I would have done this much differently instead of putting viewers through three months of garbage. I would have had Matt Hardy win the title at Bound for Glory. After the match I would have had Tyrus take out Jeff Hardy and then Matt should have proceeded to help Tyrus. Once the beat down on Jeff was finished then they could have focused on EC3 to make the double switch even more evident. Following Bound for Glory EC3 could have chased after Hardy over the next few months leading to a huge match on the premier episode on Impact on POP.

This is one of the main reasons I can't take TNA Wrestling seriously and don't think they will ever be legitmate competition for anyone. I will put Lucha Underground and Ring of Honor ahead of TNA Wrestling at this point. The problem with all three companies is they have the worst taping schedules that you could have. TNA and Lucha taped any where from two to three months in advanced and ROH is usually taped every four weeks. I remember when TNA use to be something and it was actually a great alternative to WWE. Now it's become like what WCW was a year before it shut down. All I can say at this point is congratulations to Matt Hardy. I hope he has a successful title run and get some momentum going for TNA Wrestling.

The Reebok Deal Has Ruined UFC

Ever since the partnership between UFC and Reebok took effect I have been very vocal about it on social media about how much I hate the deal. It's been six months since it all started and guess what? I still hate it and for many reasons. I remember before this deal took place you saw a wide variety of different attires when fighters came out to the octagon. I also remember when fighters had shorts that suited their personality. It was fun to watch to see what company would represent a fighter. I don't like that you don't see fighter banners hung anymore when preparing for a fight. I don't like the plain black and white basic trunks that you see every fighter wear. I also think it's ridiculous that a fighter will get fined heavily if they don't comply with the Reebok policy. Here are some examples:

-Rafael dos Anjos fined 10,000 for wearing another t-shirt that wasn't Reebok
-Donald Cerrone fined 5,000 for having the American Flag stitched in his shorts.

The Reebok deal is for six-year, $70 million dollars. UFC executives say that fighters earne anywhere from $2,500 to $40,000 per fight to wear the Reebok brand. If that's the case then explain why so many fighters are against it? I think their should be some sort of compromise. Fighters should be allowed to have sponsors and promote them but there should be limit. Look at NASCAR for example. Sometimes you hear more about the sponsors then you do the actual drivers. I'd like to hear about the fighters but would also like to know who invests their money into a fighter. I also think if a fighter wants to wear their country's flag or their camps logo on their shorts they should be allowed to wear it without punishment.

I really hope when this deal runs out that the UFC will revert back to the way it use to be. One of the other reasons I think this was bad is because they totally screwed TapOut. Considering that TapOut was the sponsor of the UFC when the UFC didn't have any sponsors. TapOut had awesome attire and made each fighter look unique. Now look at where TapOut is at. They had a form a partnership with WWE and totally reinvent themselves. It's distasteful that the UFC was not loyal to the company who helped build their brand and their fighters.

So I ask you as a fan. What would you rather see?

Big difference isn't there? Reebok has no personality in their trunk designs and then you see all these fighters with their respective look. Could you imagine any of these fighters in the Reebok gear? I couldn't imagine fighters from 10 years ago walking out to plain black or white gear. I still love watching the UFC fights but it's hard to keep my attention because all I see is black and white. Hopefully in 6 years we will see some colorful attire once again. Until then we have to deal with the boring UFC-Reebok partnership. Good riddance!

Review of The Masked Saint

Sometimes when movie critics critique a movie I wonder how much time they spend actually focusing on the subject of the movie and how it compares to other movies in that subject. This movie cover to topics I am very passionate about and those are the Christian Faith and Professional Wrestling. The movie was based on the true events of Chris Whaley's life. He was a professional wrestler turned Southern Baptist Preacher. Although the setting was more of a modern day setting instead of the 80's the story was a great feel good story. I'll be the first to admit that this was not a star studded cast but it didn't need to be. 

As a Christian, the movie shows how the power of faith can bring so many great things, Be faithful to the Lord, reach out to your community and change lives are things I got out of this movie. One persons passion can be the saving grace for many. This movie had the same feel as Facing the Giants did for me. It was uplifting, it was heartfelt and family friendly. I don't think family friendly movies get the credit they deserve and this one deserves more credit then given.

From the pro wrestling side of this movie I felt like my intelligence was not insulted like it was in Ready to Rumble. There a face, a heel, and a shrewd promoter. It actually reminded of how Vince McMahon makes or breaks stars. It also shows the promoters do have a heart when it really comes down to it. When I knew this was the final movie "Rowdy" Roddy Piper was going to be in it drew me in even more. Piper played the evil promoter and he played it well. His greatest moments as a pro wrestler were as a heel so he played the role well. 

I noticed at the end of the movie in the final scene that Piper didn't look like he was acting. It seemed like he was himself showing genuine Piper emotion. It almost seemed like he knew this was the final movie he was going to be in. I would recommend this movie to anyone who needs to be uplifted. It doesn't matter if you're a Christian or a pro wrestling fan. It's simply a feel good movie that will give you hope that anything is possible with a little bit of faith and trusting in the Lord. New Face and Look for the Hendrick Motorsports #24

At the end of the 2015 NASCAR season Jeff Gordon retired after a twenty three year career. The number 24 became very legendary by having Dupont as it's sponsor for many years. Dupont, The Rainbow Warriors, Jeff Gordon and the number 24 were all associated with success. Unlike the number 3 car there was not as much emotion involved in putting someone in the car that Jeff Gordon drove. Gordon got to leave on his own terms and made it to the final race competing for a championship.

It was announced that Chase Elliott would be replacing Jeff Gordon in the number 24 car at the start of the 2016 season. Chase is the son of NASCAR Hall of Famer Bill Elliott. Bill has been very hands on and involved with helping Chase through the ranks. Chase drove or Jr. Motorsports during his time in the Xfinity Series. That alone is a great sign because many people that have driven for Dale Jr. have been very successful in the Sprint Cup series. There are drivers like Brad Keselowski, and Martin Truex Jr. who got their start with Dale Jr. and have went to be successful in the Sprint Cup Series,

I expect a lot of great things from Chase and his rookie year in Sprint Cup. It's hard not to get excited about a second generation driver who has already proven to be a successful commodity in the sport. He won the 2014 XFinity Championship and was voted most popular driver in the XFinity Series the past two years.  In my opinion, Hendrick Motorsports found the best possible driver to replace Jeff Gordon in the number 24. With that being said here is what the number 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet will look like:

Review of the Resurrection of Jake the Snake Roberts

Growing up in the late 80's and early 90's there were so many larger then life personalities in the world of professional wrestling. One of the personalities was Jake "the Snake" Roberts. Everyone knows the story of Jake from his rise to popularity all the way to how he was portrayed in Beyond the Mat. In 2014, he was inducted in to the WWE Hall of Fame by the man who saved his life which happened to Diamond Dallas Page. This documentary was more then just about a success story of one man. It was about Jake's childhood, demons, family and others who were in the struggle with him.

I personally believe Beyond the Mat was very harmful to Jake. He was taken advantage of and was portrayed in a very negative light without ever getting the full story. It's true that Jake was into alcohol and drugs but Barry Blaustein never bothered to get the full truth of why Jake turned to these things. The other problem I have with Barry is he never even attempted to help Jake. This is what makes this story so much different. Diamond Dallas Page owed his entire career to Jake and decided to pay him back. In the process of paying him back he helped a lot of others including Scott Hall. 

Both  Jake and Scott have had a lot high's and low's, up's and down's and they have both done a 180 in their lives. I also love how this documentary focuses DDP's passion, heart and compassion into helping others. It wasn't just some infomercial about DDP Yoga. It was a story about saving lives. DDP did what a lot of others couldn't do. He saved the lives of people in his profession and people that are in the brotherhood of pro wrestling. So many have passed on because they didn't get the help they need or they had no one reach out to them.

You learn a lot about Jake, Dallas and Scott in this documentary. You also learn a lot about pro wrestling fans and the love for their heroes. So many people begged and pleaded for DDP to help both Jake and Scott. In return when DDP asked for the fans to help them with the surgeries they need to have in order to get on the path to recovery. The support was overwhelming and it showed that pro wrestling fans love their heroes. I could go on all day long about what I saw in this movie but I don't want to ruin it for those who haven't watched it.

I'd recommend this documentary to anyone, even if you're not a wrestling fan. It's a story of heart break, redemption and inspiration. If you are or were a pro wrestling fan I would say to take 90 minutes out of your day and watch this story. I am so happy that Jake, Scott and Dallas all have great lives now. It gives me hope that if anyone in the pro wrestling business ever gets into trouble like addiction they have someone to turn to. The Resurrection of the Jake "the Snake" Roberts is very powerful, emotional, and very real. You won't be disappointed after watching this documentary. Trust Me!!!

Sting to be Inducted Into the 2016 WWE Hall of Fame

It was announced by WWE.com earlier today that Sting would be the first member of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2016. I have to say the honor is well deserved and well earned. Up until November 2014 Sting had never been in a WWE ring. His loyalties during the Monday Night Wars always remained with WCW. Even after WCW shut down he went on to wrestling TNA Impact Wrestling where he had some really good years. I am pumped to see the icon and legend now become a Hall of Famer.

Sting entered the pro wrestling business as one half of the Blade Runners where his tag team partner went on to be known as the Ultimate Warrior. Sting was built like a rock and had the charisma to go all the way. All it took was for someone to notice him, teach him and turn him into something special. It was at the first Clash of the Champion in 1988 where Sting went to a time limit draw with Ric Flair. From then on Sting was a made man and eventually became the legend he is today.

There are so many great memorials I have of Sting growing up as kid and into adulthood. Here are the five moments for me that stick out as someone who grew up on Sting.

-The final WCW Nitro was very emotional for someone like me who followed both companies and enjoyed the competition. The last match on WCW Nitro was Sting versus Flair. They were one of the first matches on the first Nitro so it was fitting that the two faces of WCW closed out the company.

-WCW didn't have many bright spots in the late 90's but the buildup to Starrcade 97 was one of the best stories ever in the history of the wrestling business. Sting went from September 96 to December 97 without ever wrestling a match but you would have never known. The reign of terror he unleashed on the n.W.o. was some of the best moments WCW ever had.

-Sting versus Triple H at Wrestlemania 31 was a fans dream and had the nostalgia of the n.W.o. and DX incorporated into the match was spectacular.Sting still proved he could hang and have a great match with a great opponent. Even though he lost Sting looked great in doing so. Even though he was injured five months later I don't think you've seen the last of Sting in a ring.

-Even though it wasn't a wrestling moment it was so awesome to see Sting and Shawn Michaels on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. Both Sting and HBK are born again Christians. I believe it was the first time they were seen on TV together. As a Christian myself it was great to see both men who I looked up to share their faith and love for Jesus Christ.

-Sting's first title win at the Great American Bash in 1990 was very significantn because prior to that it was the era of Ric Flair. Flair made Sting a made man once again but this time passed the torch for Sting to be the man. Until Hulk Hogan's arrival in 1994 it was Sting and Flair's company but Flair knew that Sting's popularity was huge. Sting would go on to be a 7 time WCW World Champion, 2 time United States Champion and 3 time Tag Team Champion. In TNA, he was a 5 time World Champion and held the Tag Team Championship on one occasion.

There are just some of the moments that Sting had. I am sure many fans out there have a lot more memories of him. This announcement made Wrestlemania 32 weekend a must see event because of his impact on the industry. Whether if he was the surfer from Venice Beach or the Crow who showed no fear Sting is one of the all time greats. His induction legitimizes the WWE Hall of Fame even further then it already was because he's very deserving it.

Congratulations to Sting on becoming the newest WWE Hall of Famer. Thank you for the memories, the inspiration and being a humble role model to look up to. God Bless You Steve Borden.

The Impact the Bullet Club and Nakamura Could have in WWE

Rumors are running rampant that Shinsuke Nakamura, Doc Gallows, Karl Anderson AJ Styles aall gave their notice to New Japan Pro Wrestling and are headed to WWE. If this is true the whole landscape of WWE is going to chance especially if they head to NXT. Triple H is using the same vision that Vince did in the 80's. Get all the best talent and bring them all together to your company. I I believe all four of these men can make a huge impact in the NXT atmosphere. Nakamura and Karl Anderson have found great success in Japan and are known by the American fans based on their special appearances in Ring of Honor. AJ Styles had a lot of great year between Ring of Honor and TNA Impact Wrestling. Now that Sting has wrestled in the WWE, many regard Styles as the greatest in ring performer to never compete in WWE ring at a high level. Doc Gallows was once in WWE as Festus and went by the name Luke Gallows. He was a member of the Straight Edge Society with CM Punk, and Joey Mercury. All four of them have a lot to give and could make NXT more money then Raw or Smackdown. 

If I were writing a first run for the Bullet Club in WWE, I would have all of them come in together and back AJ Styles. AJ Styles feuds with Finn Balor over the NXT Title but in the process Gallows and Anderson align themselves with Balor reunited to origins of where the Bullet Club started. I also think revisiting Styles and Samoa Joe on a grander scale would do big dollars for WWE. These two men have had so much history together it's unbelievable. As far as Anderson and Gallows being a tag team in NXT would elevate the tag team division as a whole. There is already a great tag team division down there but they would bring a different element that we haven't seen yet. I think Shinsuke Nakamura could have a great match with anyone. If he comes in I would to see him compete with guys Samoa Joe, Sami Zayn, Apollo Crews, and Hideo Itami. There are so many possibilities if these four arrive in WWE or NXT together.

If the rumors are true big things are on the horizon for NXT. Even though Triple H won't openly admit it I truly believe he is trying to outdo Vince in every possible way. He's using Vince's own tactics from 20 to 30 years ago but he's doing to give the fans what they want. What they want is a brand that focuses on great wrestling without all the ridiculous stories. Believe me these four man are anything but ridiculous. I have a feeling that "The March to Wrestlemania" is going to be phenomenal. Stay tuned for more on this developing story that is taking the pro wrestling world by storm.

Ten Thoughts on the 2015 NFL Regular Season

With the regular season of the 2015 NFL season ending today there are so many things that happen this season that can be discussed. There were some good and some bad. Other times it got ugly on and off the field for some teams and players. This season was so ridiculous I quit my weekly predictions weeks ago because you never knew from week to week who was going to upset who. With that being said here are some thoughts I want to leave you with. 

-The Carolina Panthers went 15-1 this season and Cam Newton broke a lot of records. Many people called them overrated or said they had an easy schedule. First off their is nothing easy about the NFL and you don't go 15-1 by being overrated. If they had it easy how come they beat two playoff teams in the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers.This team has a lot of heart and has a lot confidence and the scary thing is that they are a fairly young team. 

-It was great to see Adrian Peterson have a great comeback year. I think he really redeemed himself after the disappointments he suffered in his personal and professional life last year. I can only hope that Ray Rice will eventually get the same chance. I think if the league can forgive Plaxico Burress and Michael Vick they can forgive Ray Rice and let him prove himself.

-One player who has been in trouble this year is Johnny Manziel. I really see a lot of hypocrisy coming from the NFL because Manziel has been in so many situations this year that if it were anyone else they would have been suspended multiple games. He is a disease to whatever team he's going to be apart of. If I were the Cleveland Browns I would grant Jerry Jones his wish and trade him to the Dallas Cowboys and in the in process demand as much back as you can.

-Kirk Cousins stepping in becoming a good Quarterback really isn't that surprising. Sure he made a couple of really dumb mistakes but he hasn't been Washington's consistent starting Quarterback. Now that he is the consistent Quarterback I expect great things from him in the future. As for RG3, I'll be curious to see what team takes a chance on his bummed out knee. 

-The Detroit Lions started out 1-7 and thought they were headed for another rough season. Apparently Mrs. Ford finally had enough and got rid of everyone in management except for Head Coach Jim Caldwell. They ended up finishing 6-2 after those moves were made. I don't what the future holds for Coach Caldwell, Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson but hopefully they can make something out of those changes. 

-Charles Woodson retired after a wonderful career in the NFL. He accomplished so much in his time in the NFL and in College. In my opinion he's the last guy other than the Carson Palmer to have a successful career. I can't throw Cam Newton into the category just yet only because he's only been in the league for four years. Think about that for a minute. Woodson won the Heisman in 97, Palmer in 2002, and Newton in 2010. So it goes to show a Heisman Winner being successful in the NFL is a rarity in the last twenty years. 

-It's nice to see Kansas City becoming a successful sports town. The Chiefs had a rough start but they finished really strong. This is the first time that the Chiefs and the Royals have both made the playoffs in the same year. I think Kansas City expects greatness now and how great would it be for that city if the Chiefs went to Super Bowl 50 and won it all? Even if that doesn't happen they have something to build on and should not be ashamed of what they accomplished this season. 

-I have always been a fan of Rex Ryan's interview but sometimes his coaching skills are not something to brag about. I think going into the season he was bitter about the Jets getting rid of him. The Bills went 8-8 on the season but the two losses they handed the Jets cost the Jets the playoffs. Even though the Jets didn't make the playoffs I think they are going to be the best New York team for the near future. 

-The two hottest teams to end the season are the Kansas City Chiefs with 10 wins in a row and the Washington Redskins with four wins a row. Having a strong end to your season can result in some great momentum for the next season. Ask the Carolina Panthers who last year won their last four games in a row. They built on that and had an 18 game regular season win streak. I look for some great things to happen with the Chiefs and the Redskins in the next few years if they stay healthy.

-No matter who wins Super Bowl 50, they will have earned it. All 12 teams in the playoffs have what it takes to win the whole thing. It doesn't matter if you have 1 loss game or loss 7 games because they all have the tools to win the big one. As I've said before anyone can anyone on any given Sunday. I really think this will prove to be true in the playoffs as well.

It's been a great NFL season with a lot of craziness. It's been fun to talk about, fun to watch and fun to see the reactions from the players all the way to the fans. Hopefully we will all have more to talk about as the playoffs move forward.
