The NBA draft was Thursday night and I really thought some of the picks made were excellent. I was really happy to see who the Pistons drafted. Greg Monroe was under the radar in my opinion. All thats Wrong with WWE
I've been wanting to write this for the longest time and now the time has come to unleash my fury on a company I grew up watching that now absolutely disgusts me. I've always said that the last great year WWE ever had was 2001. It was the year WCW got bought out and they had the Invasion angle with ECW and WCW. After the angle ran it's course WWE went stale, got boring and got way too predictable.
Over the last year they have banned blood, chairshots to the head and went PG. Okay, they went PG yet the have someone being put in a car being smashed into other cars. How freaking PG is that? WWE has changed it's whole way of being ran just because of one persons poltical aspirations. I use to love tuning into Monday Night Raw every week wonder what is going to happen but now I tune in for 20 minutes and I can guarentee I could tell you what's going to happen the rest of the night.
There is only one company that even comes close to WWE, and that's TNA. TNA is great to watch but they do not have the resources WWE does. They are starting to get exposure week by week and with the ECW invasion coming, it could be enough to swing the balance of power in pro wrestling. Unfortunately long term, we are stuck with boring, stale, and predictable PG rated WWE.
It's funny I say 2001 was the last great year in WWE because Wrestlemania 17 is my favorite Wrestlemania of all time. Oddly enough Wrestlemania 17 took place in 2001. What ever happen to those chaotic, crazy, and unpredictable Monday nights that we all use to love? If TNA wasn't taped weeks in advanced they would be turning a lot of heads.
WWE needs to do something quick and start getting the momentum rolling again. WWE should stand for Whimps With Egos because they have become a bunch of whimps who think they are the greatest thing in the world. Personally I would rather watch the UFC. It's real and unpredictable. That's my rant on the WWE. I hope you all enjoyed.

ECW Invading TNA
Back in the 90's the company who did the most to change wrestling, but got little recognition is coming back. Well not really coming back but some of the men who were part of that company are. This past Sunday at TNA Slammiversary Tommy Dreamer appeared in the crowd which can only mean one thing. The return of ECW and the return of Hardcore. Now before you read any further, this next part contains spoilers for this coming weeks Impact.
This coming week Raven, Stevie Richards and Tommy Dreamer all appear together in the crowd. Abyss tells Hogan that "they" are telling him to bring the violence like he did the week before when he destroyed Mr. Anderson and Jeff Hardy. Put it all together and you have the return of the old ECW.
Now don't get confused with the WWE's version of ECW because that's not the same. The original ECW was hardcore, violent, anything goes and it was extremly passionate about wrestling. WWE's version didn't even come close to any of that.
So all I got to say is stay tuned because the Era of Hardcore is going to return. ECW! ECW! ECW!

Court McGee Wins the Ultimate Fighter
Last night was a fun night to watch the UFC. It was the Ultimate Fighter Finale of Team Liddell and Team Ortiz (which eventually became Team Franklin for 2 weeks). All the fights were excellent. The first fight of the evening was Jamie Yager vs. Rich Attonito. I love Yager but he got dominated and lost in the 2nd round. I was very disappointed in his performance. Hopefully he'll be able to come back and redeem himself.
The second fight of the evening was Spencer Fisher vs. Dennis Siver. It was a good fight that went back and forth but in the end Siver defeated Fisher by unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28).
One of my favorite fighters from the orginal Ultimate Fighter was on and that was Chris Leban. He is one of the biggest hot heads ever but he's a good fighter when he puts his mind to it. He took on Aaron Simpson and beat him down to win in the second round.
The best fight of the night was Matt Hamill vs. Keith Jardine. Both men were bloodies, battered and bruised. I really enjoyed this fight and I am sure everyone watching did. Hamill won by majority decision (29-27, 29-27, 28-28). It should be noted that Keith Jardine did have one point deducted for an accidental eye poke. Other then that, the fight could have gone either way.
The Main Event of the evening was the two finalists. It was Court McGee vs. Kris McCray. I thought McCray was going to win but I was wrong. McGee won by submission in the 2nd round to become the new Ultimate Fighter. He was very emotional after the fight and thanked everyone who supported him. It was a great way to end the night.
Next season of the Ultimate Fighter will be The Ultimate Fighter: Team GSP vs. Team Koscheck. This season will feature lightweights a division that definitely needs some bulking up. The seasons starts September 15, 2010 so stay tuned for more.

Thoughts on WWE NXT Invasion Angle
Two nights ago on Monday Night Raw, all 8 rookies from NXT attacked CM Punk, John Cena and everyone at ringside. I thought this was the best finish to a Raw in a long. It happened out of no where and it was nice to see some shock value. I don't know where they are going with the storyline but I am actually looking forward to it. I think this is what WWE needed to do. They need fresh faces, new stars and it's about time realize they have to start building for the future.
NXT season two started last night and at the end the pros attacked the rookies for payback for what happen Monday night. Stay tuned for more on this storyline and WWE NXT. I think it's going to be an interesting summer.

Armando Galarraga Got Screwed
The title of this post says it all, and that is Armando Galarraga got screwed over last night. There is no nice way of putting it and there is no way to describe how I felt and I am sure there no way to describe how the fans in attendance felt. Galarraga was one out away from a perfect game and because of one bad call but umpire Jim Joyce, he will never have that moment.
Jim Joyce called Jason Donald safe after Armando Galarraga tagged the base before Jason Donald stepped on the base. Tigers managers and players were screaming at Jim Joyce after the game. It was a really bad call and just a really bad situation. I am really surprised Jim Joyce got out of the stadium.
I honestly think Bud Selig should reverse the decision and give Armando the perfect game. The replay clearly shows it was a missed call and if they wanted to the right thing they would give Armando Galaragga his perfect game. Here are Jim Joyce's comments below.
I want everyones opinions on this because this is huge and it's history. I done writing because I keep going, I am going to say things I probably shouldn't. Stay tuned for more on this situation.

Thoughts on UFC 114
This past Saturday night was UFC 114. It was suppose to be the biggest grudge match in UFC history. It was Rashad Evans taking on Rampage Jackson. Before I get to that fight lets talk about the other fights. I was shocked the Diego Sanchez was manhandled by John Hathaway. That did not look like the Diego Sanchez I was use to seeing. Hathaway won via unanimous decision (30–27, 30–27, 30–26).
The next fight which no one so going the way it did was Antônio Rogério Nogueira against Jason Brilz. Brilz who was a last minute replacement for Forrest Griffin did a wonderful job getting ready for the fight. Nogueira defeated Brilz via split decision (28–29, 29–28, 29–28). The crowd did not like that at all. The crowd felt Brilz should have won the fight.
The most shocking event occurred in the fight between Todd Duffee and Mike Russow. Duffee dominated most of the fight but in the third round got knocked out with one punch. Even Mike Russow was shocked at what he did. It was an interesting fight.
Michael Bisping vs. Dan Miller was a great fight. There was a little bit of antimosity going into this fight about who was better, but both men laid it all on the line. The result ended being that Bisping defeated Miller via unanimous decision (30–27, 30–27, 29–27).
Then there was the Main Event between Rashad Evans and Rampage Jackson. I was absolutely disappointed in this fight. The first two rounds they did absolutely nothing execpt for leaning on the cage. Evans defeated Jackson via unanimous decision (29–28, 30–27, 30–27). I personally think neither one of them deserve a title shot but now Evans gets to fight Shogun next.
All the fights were excellent except the Main Event. I hope there is a rematch down the road. I think the fans deserve that much. Stay tuned for more on the UFC.
