A wild ending to Raw headed into Mania

Now did you ever think you would see the McMahons and Triple H fighting side by side as faces? I never would have thought it but then again Triple H is a McMahon after all. What a great ending to Raw last night. If you missed it watch it on WWE.com, because it was great. Also Shawn Michaels outsmarted the Undertaker again last night and super kicked him for good measure. Also Kane won a Battle Royal involving the Money in the Bank participants, and Big Show defeated John Cena. It was a great Raw and great way to head into Wrestlemania. ECW and Smackdown however won't be so great. Yeah I already read the spoilers and it didn't look good. Oh well Raw is the main focus so here we go, Wrestlemania 25 this weekend and here is the finalized card for the Silver Anniversary of Wrestlemania.

* Chris Jericho vs. Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and Rowdy Roddy Piper w/Ric Flair For Chris Jericho to win, he has to defeat all three of the legends. For the legends to win, they have to defeat Chris Jericho just one time.

* The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels

* Extreme Rules Match: Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy

* 25-Diva "Miss WrestleMania" Battle Royal: Known Participants - Melina, Maryse, Mickie James, Gail Kim, Michelle McCool, The Bella Twins, Alicia Fox, Kelly Kelly, Maria, Eve Torres, Katie Lea Burchill, Beth Phoenix, Layla El, Rosa Mendes, Candice Michelle, Natalya Neidhart, Jillian Hall, Tiffany

* Money in the Bank Ladder Match: CM Punk vs. Kane vs. Mark Henry vs. MVP vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Christian vs. Finlay

* Winner Takes All – WWE Tag Team Titles vs. World Tag Team Titles – Unified Tag Team Title LUMBERJACK Match: The Miz and John Morrison (c) vs. Carlito and Primo Colon (c)

* IC Title Match: JBL (c)vs. Rey Mysterio

* World Title Match: Edge (c) vs. The Big Show vs. John Cena

* WWE Title Match: HHH (c) vs. Randy Orton

Also Kid Rock will be performing live as well as the lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls. Mickey Rourke will be at ringside along with countless other legends. This Sunday Wrestlemania 25 here we go. Houston will never be the same.

Tiger Wins, Tiger Wins

Finally all the people who were jumping on Tiger Woods about his game can now shut up. He is back and he played in typical Tiger Woods fashion. He came into the day five shots back and in contention but I really doubt anyone saw him winning. He played the back nine brilliantly and as I said before, when Tiger comes back everyone else better get use to having to actually play your butt of to win a tournament. Unfortunately Sean O'Hair found that out the hard way today.

You talk about a great comeback story and just think the Masters is just two short weeks away. I've already made my prediction that Tiger will win the Masters and reclaim his dominance in the world of Golf. Too bad for Phil Mickelson. He was so close to being ranked number one golfer and now those dreams just went up in smoke thanks to Tiger.

Tiger is awesome and I hope he kicks into high gear at the Masters because when he does watch out because he's going to be hard to stop and difficult to beat. Augusta will never ever be the same once Tiger puts on a performance this year. I cannot wait.

What the....I never get this excited for Golf but I am excited now.

The Final Four is Set

Michigan State, UNC, Villanova and UConn are this years Final Four in the NCAA March Madness. All four teams had to play some tough opponents along the way. No one thought MSU would be here at the end but they beat Kansas and Louisville within two days. The matchups are as follow.

MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY VS. UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT- 6:07PM
UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA VS. VILLANOVA- 8:47PM

Both games are on April 4th with the first game starting at 6pm. Both the semi's and finals will be in Detroit at Ford Field. In my brackets I have UCONN losing to UNC in the finals with MSU as my long shot. So I have three teams I picked in the Final Four. I think that MSU might have the an advantage because it is in Michigan and the East Lansing faithful do not have far to travel. You can bet that Ford Field will be packed with a lot of people wearing green and white. I certainly cannot wait for next weekend. It's going to be awesome. I will be rooting for MSU all the way. I will definitely have eyes glued to the TV for both games. Well until next weekend, that's all from me on College Basketball. It's been a fun tournament to watch this year.

John Cena challanges The Rock for Wrestlemania 26

You know Wrestlemania 25 hasn't even happened yet and John Cena is already challenging people for next year's Wrestlemania. The man he challenged happens to be The Rock. Now don't get me wrong, I don't really like John Cena but I do happen to agree with what he has to say about The Rock.

He has said if The Rock still loves the wrestling business as much as he says he does then he needs to come back and prove it. Cena has said that The Rock isn't a man of his word because he said he'd always remember the fans who made him a star. Well The Rock hasn't wrestled in a match since Wrestlemania 20. Good way to remember your fans by losing a handicap match with Mick Foley against Evolution. That's something I would really love to be remembered for. My biggest dilemma with The Rock is, I love his movies but I absolutely cannot stand him for turning his back on the fans, the company and his peers for making him the star that he is. That is the one thing I will always respect about John Cena is that he won't turn his back on the WWE Fans. I hope someday The Rock does come back for one more match but not just against Cena but against another guy he has never fought, Shawn Michaels. Those would be two great matches that would really draw a lot of money. I hope once again I can hear the words...."Finally, The Rock has comeback to the WWE."

Floyd Mayweather Fighting Again?

I heard a couple of weeks ago that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is thinking about fighting again. All I got say is please stay in retirement. No one cares about you Floyd, no one likes and most of all you should just stay in retirement because if you come out and fight Manny Pacquiao like you say you will, your reign as being undefeated and pound for pound the greatest fighter in the world will come to and end. Manny will destroy you, shut you up and put you out of boxing once and for all.

I've never liked Floyd Mayweather, the people in his hometown don't like and hell people who love boxing don't like him. So Floyd please all a favor. Stay in Retirement and please don't come back out.

Griffin vs. Hansbrough: A Dream Match Up

Tomorrow is my dream match that I have waited for all season long in college basketball, Oklahoma vs. UNC with the Sooner having Blake Griffin and the Tarheels having Tyler Hansbrough. These two guys are really the entire reason I have started watching College Basketball again. They are great players and have led their teams to Elite 8. Some have said that neither one of them will do good in the NBA if they get drafted. I would have to disagree because if they can adapt their game to the NBA style then they will both be great. Unfortunately only one of them can move on to the Final Four tomorrow. I cannot wait to watch this game tomorrow. It should indeed be a classic.

Also MSU takes on Louisville in what should be an interesting game. A lot of people are saying that the Spartans don't have a chance. Well that's what they said when they played Kansas last night. I am rooting for MSU all the way. Go Spartans.

An innovative match gone wrong

Last night on TNA Impact they had a 20-man gauntlet or battle royal in six sides of steel. Now the concept of the match was really awesome but the presentation of the match seemed really bad. There was something about the match that didn't excite me or capture my attention.

If WWE would have done this match, it would have been all out. They would have chairs, ladders and tables involved somehow. The one thing I cannot stand about TNA is that they try to new and innovative stuff to keep up with WWE but they don't do it right. If they wanted to do right, they should have had all twenty guys in the ring at the same time. Crazy? Yeah it is but it would made for a better match. I mean it it is ridiculous some of the matches that TNA comes about with. I mean I'll never forget the Fish Market Street Fight with Shark Boy/Curry Man vs. Dudley's...Ridiculous. Just when you think TNA has done something good, they do something stupid. That's my rant on TNA for the day. Hopefully I'll have some stuff to write about this weekend. I am sure I will. Keep reading and God Bless you all

My Conflicted Wrestlemania 25 Predictions

Next Sunday on April 5th is 25th Anniversary of Wrestlemania. It's going be in Houston Texas and the Reliant Astrodome, the same city Wrestlemania 17 was in. As most of you know, Wrestlemania 17 is my favorite Wrestlemania of all time. So maybe 25 can knock it off 17 at the top of the charts as my favorite. This year is a little bit different because usually I can predict what is going to happen, but this year because of who I like and who I don't like it's really hard for me chose. So with that being said here I go.

Chris Jericho vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat & Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka

This for me is an obvious choice, the legends will prevail at Wrestlemania 25. So far I am really disappointed in how the storyline has gone with this match but if the match turns out to be great then maybe my feelings will change. But I am going with Piper, Snuka, and Steamboat to be in the spotlight one more time. It should be interesting

25-Diva Battle Royal for title of "Miss WrestleMania"

I really don't know what Diva's from the past are going to be on there so I am going to say this. If Trish Stratus is at Wrestlemania 25, then I will be picking her. She's been on more Wrestlemania's then any Diva I believe. If she is not in the Diva Battle Royal then I am going with Gail Kim.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Kane, CM Punk, Shelton Benjamen, Christian, Kofi Kingston, Finlay, MVP, Mark Henry

Since their are eight guys in this mass of humanity of a ladder match I am going to pick two who I think are going to win. My two picks are Christian and Kofi Kingston. CM Punk won it last year, MVP/Shelton are feuding over the U.S. Title, Kane and Mark Henry winning a ladder match just isn't believable and Finlay...well I don't what to say about Finlay. Christian seems to be the logical choice for the win but I have also noticed that Kofi has been getting pushed more as the weeks go by. I would love to see one of these two guys win the match and get some gold eventually.

Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker

This is where it gets difficult, because I want so bad for Shawn Michaels to win this match. Shawn Michaels has been one of my favorites for a long time and he's in my top two favorites in the generation along Triple H. I have never liked the Undertaker. He's never appealed to me and plus I hear from people he's not that nice of a guy outside of the ring. I wish I could say that Shawn Michaels will win this match but the Undertaker will go 17-0. Mark my words though, Shawn Michaels will have the best performance of the night at Wrestlemania 25. You bet on that.

World Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison vs. WWE Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo in a Unified WWE Tag Team Championship Lumberjack Match.

This match I think is going to be a great match. It also gives everyone on the roster a chance to be apart of Wrestlemania. Here is where it gets difficult. Wrestlemania is about tradition so if it's about tradition Carlito and Primo will win because their are second generation stars and they are carrying on tradition. Unfortunately I think Miz and Morrison have become one of the best tag teams in recent memory. Are they the greatest of all time? Hardly. But on April 5th they will become the first ever Unified WWE Tag Team Champions and cement their place in history.

Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy (Extreme Rules Match)

Fifteen years later after Bret and Owen had a classic, it is now time for Matt and Jeff to do what Shawn Michaels does and that's steal the show. I enjoy watching both Hardy's as they are in my top 5 of who my favorites are. I have actually met Matt Hardy before but I don't think that will help his cause at Wrestlemania. As difficult as it is for me to say this, because I think Matt is the better wrestler, Jeff will win at Wrestlemania and do some crazy stuff along the way. However this could be potentially the match of the night.

Intercontinental Champion JBL vs. Rey Mysterio

Finally the Intercontinental Title is being defended again for the first time since 2002 when Rob Van Dam defeated William Regal to retain the belt. JBL said he wants to make history but on this night Rey Mysterio will win the Intercontinental Championship. This belt is one of the most prestigious belts in all of wrestling history so it's only fitting that the title is on the line at Wrestlemania 25.

World Heavyweight Champion Edge vs. John Cena vs. Big Show (Triple Threat Match)

Well this is obvious isn't it? John Cena will walk out the World Heavyweight Champion again and we can all go back to not liking him. Apparently this match appeals to no one but I think it is going to surprise the hell out of people. I think all three of these men have something to prove and they will prove it in this match. Like I said though when it is all said and done, John Cena will be World Champion once again.

WWE Champion Triple H vs. Randy Orton

Why me? Why it is so difficult? Triple H is my favorite wrestler of this generation and Orton is third among my top 5 favorites. The way the storyline is going I don't know who will win. The logical thing would be for Randy Orton to win but why would a McMahon lose on the 25th Anniversary of Wrestlemania? I can't take it anymore. My prediction for this match is............Randy Orton

So there you have it my Wrestlemania 25 predictions. Last time I made my predictions it was for the Royal Rumble and I got them all right. I don't think I will get them all right this time because everything and anything is possible. I think you will see a lot surprises and it will make for a good PPV. Houston we have a problem, actually Houston you have Wrestlemania, and it's a week away. I for one cannot wait.

Commentating on May 17th

Hello to all my fellow readers. I just wanted to let you all know I will be commentating for Championship Wrestling of Michigan on May 17th at Latvian Hall. The show is called Mayhem. I for one cannot wait for this show to take place. Especially after the anniversary show in January. For more info go to www.cwmwrestling.com I look forward to seeing you all there.

Bobby Lashley in talks with UFC

Well I woke up to the news this morning that Bobby Lashley is in talks with the UFC. All I can say is it's about time. Lashley is 2-0 but those two victories were impressive and I know he really wants to get his hands on Brock Lesnar for the UFC Heavyweight Title. Bobby Lashley is cut from the same mold Lesnar is. A Lesnar vs. Lashley match would not only draw the interest of UFC fans but WWE fans as well. In my opinion that's good business. If you can get both MMA and pro wrestling fans watching your show then you have done something right. It's only a matter of time before these two square off and have the biggest fight in UFC history. Only time will tell if UFC signs Lashley and makes the biggest fight in the history of MMA. It's time to wait and see.

Cactus Jack vs. Sting at Lockdown

It is not too often that I post anything about TNA Wrestling because for one, WWE has more going on then they do. And two, they haven't had any matches that appeal to me until now. The last time Cactus Jack(Mick Foley) and Sting fought was in 1992 at Beach Blast. Now seventeen years later they will encounter each other again in the six-sides of steel at Lockdown on April 19th. In seventeen years, these men have had different career paths. Foley, being hardcore, putting his body on the line and finally be rewarded for his hard work as a three time WWE Champion. Then you have Sting, who was the face of WCW and quite possibly the face of TNA has had classic matches with a lot of different guys. Lockdown is only TNA PPV I will watch because every match is inside a steel cage. I think it's a cool concept because different things can be done in different matches inside the cage. I personally cannot wait until April 19th to see Cactus Jack vs. Sting part two. This could be the match that gets TNA over with wrestling fans once and for all. It is a dream rematch seventeen years in the making that will probably even draw WWE loyalists to watch this PPV. This match alone is worth the buying the PPV.

So now April has three Pay-Per-Views. Wrestlemania 25, TNA Lockdown, and Backlash. All within four weeks of each other. This is why April is my favorite month of the year at least from a wrestling perspective. All I got to say is it's showtime, bang bang.

Kid Rock Performing at Wrestlemania 25

It was just announced yesterday that Kid Rock will be performing at Wrestlmania 25 which is pretty sweet if you ask me. I have always been a huge Kid Rock fan and enjoy most of his music. I think it's they got him since AC/DC couldn't come and perform. Kid Rock will be performing a melody of songs that includes Cowboy, Bawitdaba, Rock N Roll Jesus, and So Hott. Wrestlemania 25 will definitely be rocking

Also Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls is performing America the Beautiful to open up the show. Wrestlemania 25 just keeps getting bigger and bigger. As JBL has said, it is probably the biggest stage that any wrestler has been to perform on in the history of professional wrestling. I for one can't wait.

Curt Schilling Retires

Yesterday, one of the all time great post-season pitchers announced his retirement from baseball. Curt Schilling had been pitching in baseball for twenty years. He is regarded as the greatest post-season pitchers of all time. He has accomplished a great deal as a player including the following:

* 6x All-Star selection (1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2004)
* 3x World Series champion (2001, 2004, 2007)
* 2001 World Series MVP
* 2001 NL TSN Pitcher of the Year
* 2001 Roberto Clemente Award
* 2001 Babe Ruth Award
* 2001 Branch Rickey Award
* 2001 Hutch Award
* 1995 Lou Gehrig Memorial Award
* 1993 NLCS MVP

The year he won the World Series in 2001, he pitched on the same team is Randy Johnson which was a deadly one-two punch that lineups had to face on back-to-back nights. A few years later they would on opposite sides in the classic Red Sox-Yankees rivalry which saw Curt Schilling win two World Series with the Boston Red Sox. Curt Schilling will definitely be in the Hall of Fame. There is not a lot of guys who can say they have three World Series Rings. Congratulations Curt Schilling on a wonderful career and you will definitely be missed in the game of baseball. Long live the bloody sock.

News and Notes Around Sports

Well here is what I got from this past weekend.

NASCAR
Kyle Busch dominated Bristol yesterday and continues dominance in NASCAR. The Hendrick cars seem to be running better but Dale Jr is still not where he needs to be. Only time will tell if he can be come as dominate as he is suppose to be.

WBC
It's Korea vs. Japan in the finals of the World Baseball Classic. I personally wish it would have been USA vs. Venezuela but it still should be a great game tonight that baseball fans should tune in to watch. All I can say is I am looking forward to opening day of baseball. It's going to be a great season

MMA
Bobby Lashley wins again against Jason Guida at Roy Jones Jr. event and dominated again. It's only a matter of time before he gets to UFC and fights Brock Lesnar for the UFC Heavyweight Champion. Give it time and it will happen

NCAA
The Men's tournament is down to 16, my predictions have gone pretty good. I hope UCONN takes on UNC in the finals because it would make me look good. The round of 16 has some intriguing match up's this coming weekend, and I cannot wait for it.

Well that's all from me for now. Not much to talk about today. I am sure I'll have more to talk about this week. Have a good one.

Feel free to challange me

As most of you know, I love doing the ESPN Fantasy Games. I love competing against people I work with or even complete strangers. If you would ever like challenge me at any sport at all, feel free to do so. My screen name is HollywoodJW04 and my poker name is HollywoodJW on the poker club. I may not be the best competition but I can sure make it interesting. I love ESPN Fantasy and if you're a sports fan you should join. Hope to see some challenges from people out there. I love good competition.

Tarheels and Huskies are my picks

Well I filled out my brackets a couple of days ago for both the Men and Women's NCAA Tournament for basketball. At the end I saw myself picking the Tarheels in the men's tournament and the Huskies in the women's tournament. Both teams I picked have strong cases this year because they both have incredible teams with incredible players on them. I'll be very curious to see how each team does and even if they just make the Final Four I'll be happy. As for MSU and U of M, my teams here in Michigan. I hope they do well but there are to many powerhouses ahead of them this year. Give it a year or two and both teams will do some damage. I love March Madness.

I maybe Patriotic, but I am not stupid

So over the last few days I have been taking a lot of flack for picking Venezuela over the USA in the World Baseball Classic. Just because I didn't pick the USA doesn't mean I am not patriotic, it means I am smart and I know who the better team is. Just kidding but I am loyal to my Detroit Tigers, who have three players on Team Venezuela which is why I am rooting for them. Would I love to see the USA win, yes. Am I going to be disappointed if Venezuela wins, no. I love baseball and love watching great players play the game. So if anyone else wants to give me a crap about picking Venezuela over the USA feel free to drop me a line. It's not about who I like, it's about who I think will win.

WBC: The emotion, the passion, and the love

The World Baseball Classic has been very fun to watch over the last few days. Monday night it was Venezuela against Puerto Rico and Venezuela won 2-0. Then last night in a very exciting game, the good old USA beat Puerto Rico with a late 9th inning rally. So now it's down to Venezuela and USA in one pool and Japan, Korea, and Cuba in the other pool.

The WBC even helped Pudge Rodriguez get a job with the Houston Astros. Pudge performed really well in the WBC and the Astros should be happy they got the Hall of Fame Catcher to come play for them. All I know is I can't wait for the rematch between Venezuela and the USA. I say whoever wins that game will win the WBC.

I love the concept of the WBC and hope it continues for many years to come. This year has definitely the best year that it's taken place. Baseball fans should take the opportunity to get out to a game or at least watch it on TV. I hope the WBC continues it's greatness throughout the years and give us many more moments to enjoy. I have no doubt that they will.

The Von Erich's in the WWE Hall of Fame

When you think of wrestling in Texas, look no further then the Von Erich's. When WCCW was around it was one of the hottest things going. One of the greatest feuds ever took place in the WCCW and it was between the Von Erich's and the Fabulous Freebirds. WCCW had a lot of memorable matches but unfortunately it had a lot of tragedy as well. Here is how the tragedy unfolded

-David Von Erich died at age 25 of acute enteritis. Others say he died of an overdose
-Mike Von Erich died by intentional overdose of a tranquilizer.
-Chris Von Erich committed suicide in 1991
-Kerry Von Erich died in 1993 after committing suicide. Kerry was a former NWA Heavyweight Champion and former WWE Intercontinental Champion. His short feud with Mr. Perfect featured some great matches. Kerry for me was the most notable of the Von Erich Family

So as you can see the Von Erich family has had a lot of heartbreak and only one is still alive. His name is Kevin Von Erich. Kevin retired in 1995 but along the way had some classic matches with his brothers. He even became friends with Stone Cold Steve Austin in Austins early days. Even though this family has been surrounded by tragedy, the tragedy will finally be able to heal itself because the Von Erich family takes it's rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame among the greats. Congratulations to Kevin, and the rest of the Von Erich's who are still here with us.

Updated Wrestlemania 25 Card

Here is the updated card of Wrestlemania 25 as of last nights Double Smackdown Tapings. I have to say I am really liking how Wrestlemania is shaping up. I am however disappointed in the Chris Jericho storyline. No disrespect to the legends but it should have been Hogan, or Austin fighting Jericho. That would have been the money making match right there. However from a marketing standpoint the two matches they are banking on the most are Triple H vs. Randy Orton and Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker.

Matches:

WWE Championship
Triple H (c) vs. Randy Orton

World Heavyweight Championship
Edge (c) vs. Big Show vs. John Cena

The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels

Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy

Chris Jericho vs. Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and Rowdy Roddy Piper w/Ric Flair

WWE Intercontinental Championship
JBL (c) vs. Rey Mysterio

Money in the Bank Ladder Match
CM Punk vs. Mark Henry vs. Kane vs. MVP vs. Shelton Benjamen vs. Finlay vs.Kofi Kingston vs. Christian

Winner Takes All – WWE Tag Team Titles vs. World Tag Team Titles – Unified Tag Team Title Match
The Miz/John Morrison (c) vs. Carlito/Primo Colon (c)

25-Diva "Miss WrestleMania" Battle Royal

2009 Hall of Fame Class
Stone Cold Steve Austin-Dory Funk Jr.-Terry Funk-Bill Watts-Ricky Steamboat-Koko B. Ware-The Vonerich's

Leave Tiger Alone

Okay, so Tiger Woods has been back for just two tournaments and because he does not when win them, people are asking what's wrong with Tiger Woods? Gee the guy just came off major knee surgery and you expect him to be the great Tiger Woods again. What really bothers me about this whole scenario is that no other golfer gets asked stupid questions on why they played bad. You all just wait until the Masters. That's were Tiger shines.

Mark my words he will win the Masters and when he does maybe people will quit asking him why his game is so bad. There is nothing bad about it, the guy is not a machine you know. That's all I have to say on this matter. It just bugs me, because no one ever asked Gretzky, Jordan, Montana or any of the other great athletes why they had a bad game. Of course then again those are team sports but you get what I am saying. The media has a way of just making something more complicated then it has to be. All I got to say is Go Tiger Go!

Remembering Bill Davidson: The Greatest Sports Owner of All Time

I was sad to hear about the passing of Pistons owner Bill Davidson. He also owned the Detroit Shock, and Tampa Bay Lightening. A lot of people have said a lot of different things about him.

-He knew how to win the with class
-He was quiet by passionate at the sametime
-He let people do their jobs and do them to the best of their ability.
-He took the time out to get to know his players

As a lifelong Pistons fan I am sadden by Mr D's passing. The Pistons are one of the greatest franchises in sports and I hope whoever takes over will carry on his legacy. Bill Davidson was not just respected in the NBA, he was one of the most respected team owners in all of sports.

Mr. D you will be missed by all Pistons fans, and I will never forget what you said when then Pistons won the NBA Championship. You said, "My Pistons were 8:1 underdogs to beat the Lakers in the finals, and that's bullshit. Enough with the bullshit because we're a great team and this is a great city." I will never forget that and Pistons fans will never forget you. God Rest Mr. D.

Hardy vs. Hardy at Wrestlemania 25

All I got to say is finally, and about time. For the first time ever on a big stage Matt Hardy will take on his younger brother Jeff Hardy. They have fought a few times before but nothing that was worth remembering. The Hardy boys have now come full circle. They been tag team champions, heavyweight champions, and are both two of the most recognizable names in pro wrestling.

It's kind of ironic though, because only one time in history have two brothers have ever fought at a Wrestlemania. The last time was at another monumental Wrestlemania which was Wrestlemania 10. The two brothers were Bret Hart taking on his younger brother Owen Hart. The match which was the opening match of the show was one of the best matches of the night. I think Matt and Jeff will try and create the same feeling that Bret and Owen had fifteen years ago.

For me as a wrestling fan, I can't root for anyone in this match because I enjoy watching them both. It's going to be a fun match to watch because they are both special athletes in their own right. Wrestlemania 25 just keeps getting bigger and bigger. This match definitely adds a lot of value to the card. I think this will be the night that Hardy's prove why they should be the future and the face of the WWE. I for one cannot wait for it.

Andrew "Test" Martin Dead at 33

Like so many who get into the wrestling business the good ones, hell even some of the great ones don't make it pass 50. Unfortunately another lost that pro wrestling has to endure today. Andrew Martin who was formerly known as Test was found dead in Tampa Bay last night. I am completely shocked by this one just because last I had heard Test was doing well for himself in the real estate world. Come to find out he was having quite a few drug and alcohol problems. He just recently got back from a tour in Japan where wrestled from TNA Star Lance Hoyt. Judging from his MySpace he seemed like he was doing quite well. I am sure there is more to this tragedy then what has been revealed so far.

As far as Andrew Martins career goes, he didn't do that bad for himself in the WWE. He arrived in WWE in late 1998 and won the WWE Hardcore Championship, WWE European Championship, WWE Tag Team Championship, WCW Tag Team Championship and held the illustrious WWE Intercontinental Championship. My part of Test's career is when he was with Albert and Trish as T and A. I also liked the time he was managed by former Diva Stacey Kiebler. Those were some good times, and Test was a good wrestler. It saddens me to see these guys die so young when they have the rest of their lives ahead of them.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Test's family, friends and anyone who knew him. You'll never be forgotten

The Expendables features Actors, Athletes and Stars

There is a movie coming out in 2010 called the The Expendables. The Expendables follows a team of mercenaries on a mission to overthrow a South American dictator. So far this is what the cast looks like:

Sylvester Stallone, Forest Whitaker, Eric Roberts, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Randy Couture, Dolph Lungdren, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mickey Rourke, and Steve Austin.

Now why would I post about this?, because most of these guys have been in a sports/wrestling movie or are a athlete or wrestler.

Sylvester Stallone- Played the boxer Rocky Balboa.
Randy Couture- Former UFC Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight Champion
Eric Roberts- Was in the movie Best of the Best.
Mickey Rourke- Played Randy the Ram in the Wrestler.
Dolph Lungdren- Played Ivan Drago in Rocky 4.
Stone Cold Steve Austin- Enough said, I don't need to say anymore.

This movie sounds really good, and all of these guys will have to put on a performance of a life time for this movie to be great. I mean I know it's a year away but I am already excited for this movie. Only two words come to mind when I think about this movie...Star Power. And not to mention it's probably going to make a lot of money because wrestling fans will want to see Stone Cold, UFC fans will want to see Couture, and all the other actors have their own die hard fans. It's going to be great to see this film unfold and come to life. I definitely plan on keep up with all the news about this film. Well if I hear anymore, I will certainly post it. Thanks for reading and have a good weekend.

Syracuse-UConn have a MSG Classic

Last night in Madison Square Garden, Syracuse beat UConn in one of the most classic games that I have ever watched since I've been alive. They didn't just have one overtime, they had six overtimes. Both teams in my mind walked out as winners. Actually, the real winners were the fans in attendance. This game was back and forth, there was really no one dominating the game.

I would really love to see these two teams square off again. It was just one of those magical nights that probably won't be replicated anytime soon. MSG has had some classic games and events but that one last ranks right up there with the best of them.

If this is a sign of things to come, the 64 team tournament, known as March Madness is going to be awesome. I really don't follow College Basketball much, but after last night, I might be a little bit more interested in watching it. I'll be curious to see how Syracuse and UConn do in the tournament this year. I know I'll be watching, will you be?

Ken Shamrock Suspended for 1 Year, and more

Well just when you think you had heard the last from Ken Shamrock, he gets caught using three types of steroids and gets himself banned for one year. He thought by taking steroids he would become stronger, faster and bigger. Why wouldn't he take them? His next opponent was going to be former WWE Star Bobby Lashley who is a lot like Brock Lesnar but probably more brutal.

Shamrock was once given the name "The World's Most Dangerous Man." I honestly don't know what is so dangerous about him. The last time he won a fight against a legitimate opponent was in 2004 against Kimo Leopoldo. Since then it took you five years to win a fight against a guy named Ross Clifton. Who the hell is he?....Nobody that's who.

Ken Shamrock just needs to give it up and retire or go back to pro wrestling and try to make a name for yourself. You have become so pathetic and so irrelevant to MMA at this point it's ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and don't embarrass yourself anymore.

In other MMA news, Charles Lewis, one of the founders of the clothing company called Tapout was killed a couple days ago in a car accident. I am really sad to hear that because Tapout Clothing is such a great brand and I hope it continues on.

Last but certainly not least, BJ Penn has accused Georges St-Pierre of using illegal greasing agents in their fight at UFC 94 which St.Pierre getting the victory. Apparently Penn is asking for the UFC to suspend and fine St-Pierre and his team because of this. I guess this is just another example of being a sore loser and doing what you can to make the other guy who won look bad. Quit whining Penn, and move on. St-Pierre is a great fighter who doesn't need to cheat. You're just mad because you got knocked out, plain and simple. I am sure you'll have plenty of opportunities to get back in the hunt. For now, get whining, no one cares about you anyways.

Well that's the MMA news I have for now. Hopefully more on the Shamrock matter in a few days. We will just have to wait and see.

Pudge Rodriguez still unsigned

The one time Detroit Tiger Catcher and future Hall of Famer, Pudge Rodriguez is still unsigned. I am actually quite shocked by this because Pudge is a great catcher who can throw anyone out at anytime. Although his batting production has gone down over the last few years, he's starting to come alive in the World Baseball Classic for team Puerto Rico.

Why on earth would someone not be smart enough to sign him. He's still a capable player and can still do some great things for a struggling team out there. I'll be very curious to see what will happen closer to opening day in baseball. Until then we can only wait and see and find out.

Dwayne Wade=MVP

After watching last nights Heat-Bulls game I finally made my mind up on who should be the MVP this year. It should be Flash, D-Wade....Dwayne Wade. Here are his stats for last night:

Points: 48
Reb: 6
Ast: 12
Stl: 4
Blk: 3

I honestly think one performance on one night can solidify you as the MVP. But then again this is nothing new because Flash has been doing this all year long. I have loved watching his battles with Lebron James this year, because they have probably been the most intense then any other year. Right now he is number one in points per game, number nine in assists per game, number two in steals per game, and he is number one in Points + Rebounds + Assists average per game. He is very deserving of being MVP. The Miami Heat might not be the best team in the East, but D-Wade is the best player in the East. The numbers show it, the fact he keeps his team in games shows it but most of all, his heart and desire show it. Sure you have Lebron, Kobe, Dwight Howard and those guys whose teams are doing great but D-Wade is having his best year yet and if the voters were smart they would vote for Dwayne Wade as the MVP of this year.

Updated Wrestlemania 25 Card

Well after this week the updated Wrestlemania 25 will look like this

Triple H (c) vs. Randy Orton

World Heavyweight Championship
Edge (c) vs. Big Show vs. John Cena

The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels

25-Diva "Miss WrestleMania" Battle Royal

2009 Hall of Fame Class
Stone Cold Steve Austin-Dory Funk Jr.-Terry Funk-Bill Watts-Ricky Steamboat-Koko B. Ware

One has to wonder what is going on with the Chris Jericho storyline and who which legend will step up and face him at Wrestlemania. Also who will JBL defend the Intercontinental Championship against as he plans to defend the IC title for the first time in a long time at Wrestlemania 25. As of right now, there only five matches for the silver anniversary. One has to wonder what WWE has up there sleeve for the next few weeks. Stay tuned because this is getting interesting.

Koko B Ware to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame

He was PWI Rookie of the Year in 1979, he has held 22 titles in his career and he had his bird Frankie to accompany him along the way. It was announced last night that Koko B. Ware would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2009. I was actually quite shocked because like most people, I feel Koko never got the credit he deserved as a wrestler.

Koko was a great mid card wrestler, and was probably the best mid-card wrestler in late 80's and early 90's. He had away of making everyone in the ring with him look good. The one interesting thing about Koko is that he was the first person to ever take the Tombstone Piledriver from the Undertaker at Survivor Series of 1990. He also formed a tag team called High Energy with late great Owen Hart in 1992 and feuded with the Nasty Boys, Money Inc. and the Headshrinkers.

Koko B. Ware had a lot of charisma, he was a fan favorite and a legend in his own right. I am really happy to see WWE giving an underrated guy like Koko a spot in the Hall of Fame. Congratulations Koko, keep on hitting the Ghost buster.

If they would just work together

In June 2007, the most dominant team in NASCAR history was complete. You had Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon and the addition of Dale Earnhardt Jr. Unfortunately they haven't been quite so dominant except for maybe Jimmie Johnson. I have not seen one race since the three of them have worked together.

The more I think about it, is if all three of them worked together every single race one out of the three could win every race and just totally dominate the Series. I guess it's like that with every team like Childress, or Roush-Fenway. If they all worked together they could dominate the Series. The difference between Hendrick and the other teams, is he has got three world class drivers who have the ability to win every race. It's just frustrating to see because I thought Dale Jr. going to Hendrick Motorsports was a great thing. So far it hasn't been so great except that he made the chase last year. I really hope to see better things for the the number 88 Mountain Dew AMP car. I have a feeling I will.

Terrell Owens a Buffalo Bill

In a shocking turn of events today, T.O. signed a 1 year/6.5 million dollar with the Buffalo Bills. Poor Dick Jaroun. Now he's got to do what no other coach has done yet, and that's keep Owens' ego in check. The owner Ralph Wilson must be the most desperate 90 year old man in the world for signing the most controversial player in the league right now.

It also should be noted that this is the first time that T.O. has played on an AFC team because no one else from the NFC wanted to touch him. I really don't know how I feel about this, because I've never really followed the Bills, but from what I hear the coaches are really irate about this move. They know what I know. T.O. could have a really bad effect on this team. Actually it's not that he could, it's that he will.

As I always say only time will tell on what might happen. Stay tuned folks because this NFL off-season just got a whole lot more interesting.

Where Terrell Owens Should Go

After listening to all the analysts and seeing how many teams are not interested in T.O. I figure out the best place for him to go. I think he should become a part of the New Orleans Saints team. Just think if T.O., a healthy Jeremy Shockey and a healthy Reggie Bush along with Drew Brees would be very difficult to stop. T.O. is a play maker and that something New Orleans might be lacking even though Brees can hit any receiver he throws to.

Wherever T.O.goes you can be assured of two things. One, he will make plays for you. Two, if you don't allow him to make plays for you he will destroy your locker room much like he did as a 49er, an Eagle and a Cowboy. I really hope Owens realizes that he needs to park his ego and attitude at the door because if he doesn't he will not be around the NFL too much longer. He is like the Barry Bonds of the NFL except with out the steroids.

I am really curious to see if who picks him. I personally would like to see him become a saint, literally and figuratively. Only time will tell to see if that happens. Right now I am not betting on it.

Davenport Lacrosse #3 in the Nation.

After winning all there games on a recent tournament in Tennessee the Davenport Panthers Lacrosse team is now ranked number three in the nation. I would usually not write about Lacrosse but my cousin (who is in the picture) plays Lacrosse for Davenport and has been playing for a long time now. The Panthers are something special to watch. They had a great season last year in their inaugural season and are having a great season so far. This is their first year in conference play and are eligible for a championship and there is a strong possibility that they could win it all. Here are the scores from the tournament in Tennessee.

Davenport 12, SCAD 8- SCAD was ranked 11th at the time of game
Davenport 16, Stonehill 12- Stonehill was ranked 15th at the time of game
Davenport 13, Tennessee Wesleyan 9
Davenport 12, Westminster 10- Westminster was ranked number 1 at the time of game.

They are only two teams ahead of Davenport right now and they are University of St. Thomas, Grand Valley State University. They will meet GVSU near the end of the season and it could be the game that decides the CCLA Division II championship.
I am really happy for my cousin Kyle Detmers and the Panthers of Davenport. Here is their schedule for the rest of the season

03/14/09 vs. Western Michigan Forest Hills Eastern HS 3:00 p.m. ET
03/21/09 vs. Miami (Oh) DU Turf Field 2:00 p.m. ET

You should all come check out a game or two. You would probably fall in love with the sport if you came out. Hope to see you all some games.

Manny in, T.O. out

Well if you had to guess what two biggest news stories in sports it wouldn't be hard to figure out. Manny Ramirez finally resigned with Dodgers for two years making 45 million dollars. The thing that bothers me about this, is that is the same offer that's been on the table for two months. Manny needs to hire a new agent not named Scott Boras. I use to think Boras was smart but he makes a lot of his clients look stupid like he did Manny. But I am glad it is over and now we don't have to hear about it anymore. I really hope the Dodgers have a good season. I think they will.

The other big story of yesterday is Terrell Owens got released by the Cowboys yesterday. I have to say it, I am not surprised because T.O. is just such a distraction to any team he has ever been on or will be on. I am really interested to see who takes a chance on him. In terms of talent and ability he is one of the best I have ever seen but it is his attitude and him being a crybaby is what turns people off when it comes to him. So who knows at this point.

In other news Kurt Warner decided to stay with the Cardinals, and Ray Lewis is staying with the Baltimore Ravens. Good decisions by both guys because they are both loved by the city's that they play for. That's all the news from me for now. Have a good one and make sure to watch the World Baseball Classic which started at 4am this morning. Got to run. Bye now.

Leave Iverson out

Three in a row, three in a row, oh my god the Pistons have won three in a row. They beat the Magic, Celtics and Nuggets all in the last four days. They are three of the best teams in the league right now and the Pistons convincingly beat all three of them. How did they do it? Because they didn't have Allen Iverson playing those last three games.

The point has been proven, Dumars was dumb for getting rid of Billups for Iverson. It is probably the dumbest move he has made since he is been in charge. That and he drafted Darko Milic. I also think Curry needs to go as well. He is too inexperienced to be coaching a team like that. I hate to say it but this season has been a disaster in every sense of the word.

So if you want to make the playoffs and still have some pride left, do not play Allen Iverson because if you do, it's going to get bad again. He is a great player if you're into playing one on one basketball but he does not fit what the Pistons are about. Thank God he is gone after the season. The only team right in Detroit that anyone can root for is the Red Wings unless the Tigers prove something this year. God it's frustrating living in Michigan right now. Starting winning like you all know how to.

Three Matches Officially Announced for Wrestlemania 25

Well it appears that three huge matches have been officially set for Wrestlemania 25. So no more prediction, no more changing predictions here we go:

WWE Championship Match
Triple H[c] vs. Randy Orton

World Heavyweight Championship Match
Edge[c] vs. The Big Show

The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels

To me that's huge. I am wondering though, where does John Cena fit into the Wrestlemania plans. I still maintain he might feel the power of Hulkamania. As far as guys JBL, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, Kofi Kingston, Rey Mysterio, Ted Dibiase and Cody Rhodes who knows where their place in history might be at this event. Tune in to find out.

And yeah just to let you know I will be partying at Buffalo Wild Wings located on 28th st. in Grand Rapids Michigan for Wrestlemania 25. Hope to see you all there.
