Monday the Tigers acquired Edgar Renteria in a trade. Just one problem with that. They foolishly traded their Pitch Jurrijans away to the Braves. Other then Verlander, Jurrijans is the only pitcher who showed me anything last year, and he only pitched four games. Bad move in the long run. Renteria is a good ball player and will provide the Tigers with some spark but it was a bad move. Anyways I hope the tigers make some more moves the involves getting pitchers.

AWA DISCONTINUES SANCTIONING
In a landmark announcement made today, AWA Chairman of the Board Dale R. Gagne announced that the AWA will no longer sanction independent territories effective immediately. Over three years ago, the AWA started an "open door policy" welcoming top independent wrestling organizations to represent it's brand both nationally and internationally. Within a year, the AWA had gained momentum with over 25 affiliate promotions from Hawaii to Japan. During the recent AWA Annual Meeting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Gagne and Vice-President Jon
Stewart addressed representatives from participating territories
regarding the impending future of the sanctioning program. "Quite honestly", stated Gagne, "the sanctioning of independent territories never reached the success we had hoped for". "We never intended on our brand being represented in bars, out-of-date military bases or American Legion halls", continued Gagne. "There may very well be a market for independent wrestling in these types of facilities but it certainly
isn't a part of the AWA's future".
Vice-President Jon Stewart further stated that the AWA will continue to look for effective and professional promoters to represent it's brand but there will be obvious differences in what local organizations present and what the AWA will produce. Where does this leave the territories currently representing the AWA brand? According to Gagne and Stewart, each promotion will be individually assessed. Those territories sharing a vision different than the AWA's new model, will be released by the end of the year. The Board of Directors and figurehead President will be dissolved accordingly. Alot of people are hating on Kobe at this point because of his desire to get out of L.A. I don't blame him because the Lakers haven't built a team around him. It's all sub-par players on that team. Speaking hating, a lot of people are pissed off at A-Rod for the timing of his decision to opt out of his contract (right in the middle of the world series) That's nothing to mad about. Frankly who cares. Everyone knew Boston was going to win. Hell the Rockies knew Boston would win. A-Rod good luck to where ever you end up.
I'll be posting a lot more now that MLB Free Agency is upon us and basketball season has began again. Until next time, Peace and God Bless

Cyber Sunday, World Series, Colts vs. Pats, A-Rod, and more
Well Cyber Sunday was awesome last night. Good matches from top to bottom. The first matched was Finlay vs. Rey. Rey did some amazing stuff last night and put his body on the line. CM Punk was challanged by the Miz who showed a lot of promise but his not a great wrestler yet. Then there was the Grand Rapids rematch of Jeff Hardy vs. Mr. Kennedy....Kennedy. A lot like the Grand Rapids match, it was great. Kennedy won a good match. Then you had MVP vs. Kane. Kane took Matt Hardys place because of his horrific injury on Raw. Great pyschology in the match. Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton was next and HBK proved he could still deliver. Orton is getting really good at telling a story. Orton kept the title, but HBK got the last laugh. Then it was time to play the game with HHH and Umaga in a street fight. Awesome match. Umaga and HHH unloaded on each other. Good stuff. The main event was Undertaker vs. Batista with Austin as the special guest referee. Before Austin came out, JBL and Foley got into it and then Austin came in and cleaned house delivering a Stunner to both men. Taker and Batista was a great match, and Batista finally beat the Deadman. It was good if not better then their Wrestlemania match. All around good night at the PPV. Next stop is Survivor Series...sweetness
The World Series thankfully ended last night. I was hoping the Rockies would win one but that was obvious that it wasn't going to happen. It was a great night for Boston. Boston fans have a lot to cheer about right with Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics. Colorado you had one chance and you blew it. Your fairytail story is over. Thank God.
This weekend is the highly anticipated match between the Patriots and Colts. I cannot stand either team but I am hoping New England wins. The Colts got lucky last year. San Diego and New Orleans should have been in the Super Bowl last year, not the Bears and Colts. As for New England, Tom Brady went on record saying Bill Bellcheck(sp?) is greatest coach in the NFL all time. Hey buddy have you ever heard of Lombardi, Landry, and Ditka. Don't even go there. I hope they destroy each other this weekend.
Alex Rodreguiz opted out of his contract with the Yankees last night in hopes of finding a better team. Yes I said better. The Yankees will suck with out Torre, and A-Rod. I would not be surprised if Damon and Rivera leave knowing that they lost two key elements to that team. And please for the love of all things good, Roger Clemens please retire. You're old, and washed up. You didn't get the job done this year. You had a great career but it's over. You made the same mistake Michael Jordan did. You killed part of your legacy coming back.
Tonights Raw is suppose to feature the return of Y2J, Chris Jericho. It should be interesting to see who he feuds with and if he face or heel. I'll report on that tomorrow. Should be a good Raw and the road to Survivor Series begin tonight. Also MNF is on as well. The Monday Night Legend Brett Farve will dominate to Broncos who will see how painful it is to play Green Bay on a Monday night game. Until then, peace and God Bless

WWE vs. NBA, Testaverde, World Series, Celtics and more
A few weeks ago I went to Raw at Van Andel arena in Grand Rapids and it was 90 percent full. A week later the Detroit Pistons came to town and the arena was hardly half full. It proves a point I've been saying all along. No indoor sport can compete with pro wrestling in attendence, ratings, merchandise selling and everything else. It's simple, pro wrestling is the greatest form of entertainment there is. No doubt about it.
I was glad to see my Carolina Panthers bring Vinnie Testaverde out of retirement. He looked great two weeks ago and I am sure he will do great for them the rest of the season. Go Vinnie T.
Game 1 of the World Series was last night and I have to say, its Bostons for the taking. Unreal what they did to Colorado last night. Maybe I was wrong in saying that Colorado would get lucky in win the series in 5. It might be a sweep by Boston in 4
Speaking of Boston, as the NBA season begins, the Boston Celtics are my favorite going in to the season. I am an old school kind of guy and I look old school teams. I think The Celtics are going to shake up the Eastern Conference. I wouldn't be surprised to see them win it all.
Cyber Sunday is this weekend and I look foward to some big matches with some big stipulations involved. I also look foward to Chris Jerichos return this Monday on Raw. Yes it's going to happen this Sunday. I would love to see him fued with Kennedy because they both have great mic skills.
Well thats all from me. Be back on Monday to talk more World Series, WWE, TNA and other stuff. Peace

Waylands Noah Lott hits the big time

After three grueling days on the road wrestling in Shawano, Wisconsin and Coldwater Michigan, Adam Johnson came home Monday to get ready to go to WWE Monday Night Raw. Little did Adam Johnson know that Noah Lott would be needed. Noah Lott arrived at Van Andel Arena at 5:30pm. He called Vice President of talent relations John Laurinaitis and John talk to Noah Lott about being on the show. “I had heard they were already full and didn’t need anyone,” explained Noah Lott.
Laurinaitis met Noah outside and told him to get his gear and hop over the fence. Noah had little time to prepare for his first match in the WWE. The action started at 8pm with a taping for WWE Heat which airs on WWE.COM every Friday. Noah Lotts match was the first match of the night. The crowed cheered for him when they announcer said he was from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He fought against Jacob Duncan from Louisville, Kentucky. The match lasted about seven minutes and Noah Lott was defeated by Duncan. Noah Lott got a great ovation from the fans.
After his match Noah Lott met with talent coordinator and WWE Legend Ricky “the Dragon” Steamboat to discuss his match. Steamboat listed off many things that Noah Lott did during his match. Steamboat also told him that he had a future in the wrestling business if he kept up his drive and work ethic. The last five years was a huge payoff for one night.
There was also three other guys who wrestled on the show from Michigan and they Nate Mattson, Gutter and Conrad Kennedy III. Noah Lott has wreslted against both Nate Mattson and Gutter within the last year. All four of these men deserved to be on the show Monday. Maybe there should be a fatal way match between the four to see who is the best.
Noah Lott has been wrestling for five years now. He started when he was a junior at Wayland High School. He was trained by Dan “the beast” Severn, a UFC Hall of Famer and former WWE Superstar in his own right. Noah Lott has has held over 10 titles in his short career including titles in Canada, Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana, and West Virgina. Of course he has held titles in Michigan.
Noah Lott has also wrestled 400 matches in his career and has wrestled against and with many well known names like Steve Corino, The Honky Tonk Man, Dan Severn, “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka, and many more.
One of Noah Lotts favorite sayings is, “History will be kind to me, for I intend to write it.” If that statement is true, Noah Lott will be remembered by Grand Rapids fans for a long time. WWE has not seen the last of Noah Lott and neither has the fans.
To see if Noah Lotts match made it on WWE Heat go to http://www.wwe.com/broadband/heat/ and for more info on Noah Lott go to http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/NoahLottfans/
