World Series Recap, NBA, Flair/Kanyon and more

First off before I start being to critical of the Detroit Tigers, I want to say congrats to them because they had a hell of a year. After 13 losing season, they made it to the World Series. I can't even comprehend that. I think it was just a lack of experience on their part because St. Louis has been in the playoffs the last 4-5 years and been to their 2nd World Series in 3 years. I tip my hat to Sean Casey though. He played great through this whole series and if the Tigers would have won, he should have been the MVP for sure. Here somethings that Tigers should do in the off season:
-People to trade: Nate Robertson, Fernando Rodney, Craig Monroe, and Chris Shelton. Trade them as a package to get some actual power hitting, and experience pitching.
-Sign a veteren catcher like Mike Piazza, Mike Matheney or Sandy Alomar Jr. to back up Pudge because Pudge didn't get it done this year and we need another catcher with some experience.(That or give Vance Wilson more opportunities.)
-Sign Sean Casey to a three year deal.
-Give Omar Infante/Alexis Gomez/Brent Cleveland more playing time
Tigers had a hell of a year and I am proud of my home team. I respect Jim Leyland for what he did for the organization and respect the fact that he took the blame for everything that went wrong out there. They'll be back. Go Tigers. World Series in 2007.

The NBA season starts this week and Eastern Conference looks dominating again. Obviously the biggest shake-up in the offseason was that traitor Ben Wallace leaving the Pistons for the Bulls. I think the Pistons will do great this year. Here is their current Roster for the NBA Season:

1 Chauncey Billups
8 Will Blalock
34 Dale Davis
20 Carlos Delfino
12 Ronald Dupree
32 Richard Hamilton
10 Lindsey Hunter
25 Amir Johnson
54 Jason Maxiell
24 Antonio McDyess
13 Nazr Mohammed
6 Ronald Murray
22 Tayshaun Prince
36 Rasheed Wallace

Not to many changes there except Ben Wallace being gone. Theres a couple of other players who left but they will do fine. I think it will be the Phoenix Suns vs. the New Jersey Nets in the Finals this year. New Jersey is due and has the talent, so does Phoenix. I can't wait until Wednesday when the Pistons take on the Bucks. It should be a great game.

A couple of days ago former WWE/WCW Wrestling Chris Kanyon was on the Howard Stern show. Kanyon claims that the WWE fired him because he came out of the closet and told people he was gay. That's when Ric Flair called in says that the WWE fired him because he didn't have the gimmick. Kanyon says John Cena doesn't have the skill but he is in there. Kanyon also claimed Vince McMahon doesn't like gay people and that why he fired him Check out The Ric Flair vs. Kanyon Debate
I totally agree the Kanyon on this one, Kanyon was one of the most innovative wrestlers that there has been. I mean come on, its obvious Vince doesn't like Gays because he fired Orlando Jordan after Orlando came out of the closet. Whatever I guess. I look to hear more about this in the coming weeks.

Tommorrow the PBA returns on ESPN at 1pm. The final four are:
Jack Jurek def. George Lambert IV
Doug Kent def.Tommy Jones
Kent vs. Jones should be a good match up. I have never even heard of Jurek or Lambert but I am sure they will put on a hell of show because it's their first TV finals I believe. Look foward to it tommorrow.

Well I am out. Tommorrow afternoon I bowl on my league in Dorr, Michigan. I've been doing really well for myself and look foward to keeping my game up. I'll have a full report back tommorrow on how I do.

Carolina vs. Dallas tommorrow night on NBC. Kill 'Em Carolina.

World Series, Sting, Tigers/WWE, Cyber Sunday and more

Well game 5 of the World Series is tonight and it's do or die for the Detroit Tigers. Tonight Verlander is on the mound against Jeff Weaver so it should be a good matchup. I hope we get back to Deroit so Kenny Rogers can pitch tomorrow night. Should be a great game tonight

Speaking of the Tigers, they were recently at a WWE Smackdown event backstage with all the WWE stars. My two worlds finally collided. I love the Tigers and I love the WWE, so it was cool to see. To check out the photos go to http://www.wwe.com/shows/smackdown/3540572/

This past sunday at TNA's Bound for Glory, Sting captured the NWA Heavyweight Championship from Jeff Jarrett. Kurt Angle was the special enforcer which was cool. I can't wait for Genesis because Kurt Angle is taking on Samoa Joe. Thats a match I would pay to see. Also this past Sunday N8 Mattson was a security guard for TNA and if you watched the PPV you saw him breaking up the fight between Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle. N8 Mattson is definitely one star that should be in TNA hands down. He is such a professional and a great talent. I hope to see more of him on TV.

Cyber Sunday is next Sunday and here is the line up:
WWE Champion John Cena vs. World Heavyweight Champion King Booker vs. ECW World Champion Big Show
DX vs. Edge & Randy Orton
Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy vs. ???
World Tag Team Champions Spirit Squad vs. Ric Flair & ???
Umaga vs. ???
To vote on the matches go to http://www.wwe.com/shows/cybersunday/vote/

Also Price of Glory Wrestling has added a messege board on their website so if you would like to sound off on what you would like to see in POG go to http://www.the-beast.com/pogindex.shtml

Well that's all from me. Have a good day and I'll probably be back Sunday with a post because the Pro Bowlers tour starts up again this Sunday only on ESPN. Have a good one and God Bless

Tigers, Legends, Cyber Sunday, and more

I tell you, last weekend couldn't get any better for Tigers fans. I still can't believe they are going to the World Series. My neighbor has been ragging on Ordonez the whole season and to see Maggs belt two homeruns out was just phenomenal. I am watching the Mets-Cards game right now and it would be awesome to see the Mets go se we can beat both New York teams in the same playoff year (Has that ever been done?) However if the Cards win some familiar faces will be returning back...Jeff Weaver and Juan Encarnacion. I would love it, if they got the crap kicked out of them. I can't wait until Saturday.

This sight was awesome a few weeks ago at the Raw Homecoming. Ric Flair wrestled that night and brought some friends of his. Million Dollar Man, Roddy Piper, I.R.S., and Arn Anderson. I love it when they bring legends back. I am sure we will see more in the future.

Cyber Sunday is a few weeks away. I love this event because you vote on the matches. I will be there watching at Buffalo Wild Wings if any of you want to hang out. To vote on the matches go to http://www.wwe.com/shows/cybersunday/

Hogan Knows Best starts up again Sunday at 9pm on VH1. I watched an interview of his today about him talking about retirement. It will be a sad day in wrestling when he retires. He made the buisness for a lot of people, including myself who wants to be in the buisness someday. Kudos to the Hulkster

Last but not least, jow in the hell did Lou Pinella get the Cubs manging job. He dont even know wwhat a GED is (if you watched Game 4 last weekend you know what I am talking about.) Anyways, now the A-Rod rumors are heating up about him going to the Cubbies. That would really shake things up. Well time will only tell.

Well I am out, see ya sports fan. Go Tigers, and tear em up in the World Series. Don't forget Kurt Angle Debuts tonight on TNA Impact...Only on Spike TV. God Bless

A new era: More sports, more controversy

It's hard to believe I have been running this blog for as long as I have. It started out as a political blog, then a full blown wrestling. But now I have decided to stick with wrestling but add sports to it. I don't care if it's baseball, basketball, football, bowling, darts, billards, tennis, Golf, etc. If something strikes me then I am going to write about it. Theres going to be more posts and more controversy then ever...

So how about the Detroit Tigers. They destroyed the Yankees, and are now on their way to a World Series berth. I think its just simply awesome. Detroit is so phenomenal this year and I honestly don't think they have peaked yet. I think next year they will peak and win it all next year. They'll get rid of a few loose ends and be good to go. I can't wait for this weekend to watch them.

Well I hope you all will tune in daily because I am going to try to update this thing daily. Have a good one, and God Bless.

Yankees pitcher Corey Lidle killed in plane crash

Today as news started pouring that a plane crash was felt in New York, I thought to myself here we go again. Unfortunately the crash was a mere accident that claim the life out and outstanding pitcher in Corey Lidle who finished the season playing for the Yankees. I am not a Yankees fan and never will be probably but this not about who you’re fan of. I feel bad for the Yankees because of all the turmoil that happened this week and now to have something tragic like this happen. It’s horrible. I hope this puts things in perspective for the fans of the Yankees. There are more important things in life then the game of baseball. Who cares about how Joe Torre managed. Who cares about how bad A-Rod is slumping. All of these things are irrelevant because they are all human and they are not perfect. I followed Corey Lidle the last two years when he played for the Phillies and Yankees. He was a great pitcher and judging from what the players had to say he was a great guy. My thoughts and prayers are with Corey Lidle and his family and the Yankees organization.

Raw Homecoming, No Mercy, more...

Hello again wrestling fans...

Well if you haven't heard Raw will be three hours this Monday as part of the Raw Homecoming. All three brands will be represented at the show which should make for interesting television. Last I heard they were trying to get Austin and Hogan for the show. That would be cool. Maybe they can finally have a confrontation.

No Mercy is Sunday and it looks to be a decent card for Smackdown for once. Here are the matches:
-World Heavyweight Champion King Booker vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Batista vs. Finlay (Fatal Four-Way Match)
-United States Champion Mr. Kennedy vs. Undertaker
-Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero (Falls Count Anywhere Match)
-MVP makes his debut
-Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms vs. Matt Hardy
-WWE Tag Team Champions London & Kendrick vs. KC James & Idol Stevens

The reason for the Fatal Four Way match is because WWE felt Bobby Lashley isn't marketable enough to be in the main event alone so they added the Batista and Finlay who were suppose to have their own match. I am also looking foward to the ending of Mysterio vs. Guerrero rivalry because its getting ridiculious. I am also looking foward to the Matt Hardy vs. Gregory Helms match, which is going to be good because they are both Ralieigh, NC where to pay-per-view. I am looking foward to the card

Next weekend is the Price of Glory Glorified Tournament, along with other matches. So here is the official card.
