This week was one of the craziest openings to an Impact that I can remember. You had the Knockouts going at it for about 10 minutes with Ric Flair trying to break it up. It was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. The Beautiful People and Mickie eventually took on Sarita, Tara and Madison and a 6 woman tag later on in the night.
I really enjoyed the street fight between Jay Lethal and Robbie E. I really love how TNA is using the Jersey Shore storyline to their advantage. Robbie won with a little bit of assistance from Cookie so now at Turning Point Robbie gets a title shot at Lethal's X Division Title.
I was impressed with the tag match match with MCMG, GenMe, and Ink Inc. The Guns won the match and then accepted Team 3D's challenge for a match at Turning Point. Win, lose or draw it will be Team 3D's last match as a tag team at Turning Point.
I also enjoyed what they are doing with Matt Morgan. I like how they are using a real life issue as a storyline. Let me tell you something Matt Morgan needs to shine. His time to shine is now. I loved how he stood up for whats right and I love that they are probably going to put him in a Main Event spot where he belongs.
Fortune and Immortal are continuing to dominate Impact every week but rest assure, that Dixie is waiting in the wings and plans on bringing guys in to get her company back. I really enjoy what TNA is doing right now and it's the best wrestling on television. It's got great matches, great stories and the best pay-per-views around. The rest of the year in TNA should be exciting so keep watching...you never know who might show up or how one twist of fate could change the whole company.

NFL Week 8 Preview
It's week eight and for some teams it's make or break. Some teams are doing great, and other ain't. Here is my predictions for the week eight.
(3-3) Miami Dolphins at(2-4) Cincinnati Bengals
This match up is very intriguing to me because both of these teams records are not what they should be. I am going to with Miami on this one. They have been playing some tough football games and put themselves in the position to win each week. This week will be no different but this time they will be on the winning side.
(4-3) Green Bay Packers at (5-1) New York Jets
The Packers have lost some close ones, and have won some close ones but this will not be close. I see the Jets beating up the Packers bad. The Packers are dealing with all sorts of injuries while the Jets are extremely healthy. The Jets will continue to prove why they are they dominant team in the NFL right now.
(2-4) Minnesota Vikings at (5-1) New England Patriots
The big question is who will start Quarterback, Favre or Jackson? The thing I am watching for the most is how will Randy Moss play against his former team. He has a lot of to prove. Even though Moss will be motivated, the Patriots will still win and be tied with the Jets for the lead the in the division and the AFC.
(5-1) Pittsburgh Steelers at(4-3) New Orleans Saints
I am going to say it again, New Orleans is not good. They have been figured out and I don't care if they won the Super Bowl last year. No one knew how to beat them last year but this it's different. It also doesn't help that Bush and Thomas are injured but Brees is not putting up numbers like he was last year. I think the Steelers defense will hold the Saints at bay. Pittsburgh along with New England, and New York are running away with the AFC.
There is a clear consensus on who the best teams in the AFC are, but the NFC is up in the air. I mean you have teams like Atlanta, New York(Giants), and even Seattle. None of these teams are running away with things the way the AFC teams are. Check back Tuesday for my week in review.

Thoughts on the UFC-WEC Merger
This coming January the UFC and the WEC will be merging into one. All the WEC fighters to be rolled into the UFC after their last event in December. Here is how things are going to work coming into the new year. The winner of Henderson and Pettis in December will face the winner of Maynard and. Edgar in a unified title fight. Also the first fight with lighter weight divisions will be in January where Jose Aldo will defend his title at UFC 125.
So now the UFC will also have a Bantamweight, and a Featherweight divison. It also means Urijah Faber, Mike Brown, Miguel Angel Torres, and many more. WEC also had a lightweight division so the lightweight champion and it's contenders better be prepared because their are some good fighters from the WEC coming over.
This is absolutely huge for UFC and puts them over the top as the best MMA company. What is next for the UFC? I think this awesome and I am so looking forward to this. Stay tuned for more on these developments.

Thoughts on the World Series: Rangers vs. Giants
Tomorrow night it all comes down to this series. Two teams, one title and two very different teams. The Texas Rangers have had a lot of positive things happen to them this year. First, Nolan Ryan become part of the ownership and is the President of the team. Secondly, they traded for Cliff Lee and stole him from underneath the Yankees on the final day of the trade deadline.
Then there is the San Fransisco Giants with great young talent like Buster Posey, Tim Lincecum, and others. They are finally past the Barry Bonds years and have reached the World Series without him. Here are the current pitching matchup's for the first 5 games of the World Series

NFL Week 7 Review
Well the theme of week 7 is how Quarterbacks are dropping like flies. So far this year Matthew Stafford, David Garrard, and now this week we have Brett Favre and Tony Romo. The Cowboys and Vikings are absolutely horrible right now. Neither team in my opinion will make the playoffs. The Bills remain the only team without a win and the Raiders put a beat down on Denver.
Right now I think the front runners for a Super Bowl shot are the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, Washington Redskins, Baltimore Ravens, and New England Patriots. I know it's still kind of early but we are almost halfway through and these are the teams that stick out to me right now. However keep your eye out for Kansas City, Houston, Tampa Bay, and Philadelphia.

Well I said it last week on this blog, that I would hate to be number one in the BCS standings because you'll lose. Well sure enough Oklahoma lost to Missouri. Other then that a few other upsets happened including 16 Nebraska defeating 14 Oklahoma St., Iowa St defeated 19 Texas, Syracuse defeated 20 West Virginia, and Baylor defeated 22 Kansas St. Here are some big games this coming week:

Lesnar Loses at UFC 121 and more
If you would have told me that Brock Lesnar would have been beat in the first round last night I would have called you an idiot, but it happened. It really did happen. Cain Velasquez did what he said he was going to do and that's defeat Lesnar. The next person in line for a title shot is Junior Dos Santos. Like I read on someones Facebook last night, I feel bad for whoever fights Lesnar next because he's going to be angry. Other results include:

Thoughts on TNA Live in Grand Rapids
Last night I was privilaged to attend my first TNA Wrestling event. It was one of the coolest nights I have ever had. I first want to thank TNA President Dixie Carter for giving me free tickets to the show and promising me a good time. She definitely fulfilled her promise. I am not going to go into details about the matches but here are the quick results.

My favorite parts of those matches were watching Eric Young being EY, and the tag match. Both were highlights of the show for me. The other highlights were meeting and shaking hands with nearly everyone on the roster that was there. I want to go on record and say that I have never lost my voice once at a WWE show, but last night my voice was gone before the Main Event even started.
Some might say that TNA only had 500 people at the arena last night but those 500 got to witness the best wrestling show live in Grand Rapids since the last time TNA came. TNA does a lot for their fans, and the wrestlers are appreciative of the fan support. I keep hearing all this crap about "Stand Up for WWE." Well Iam standing for a company who appreciates their fans, interacts with their fans, and listens to their fans.

Has the NFL become a game of softies? I guess this would be a week to find out. A lot of debate about hard hits in the NFL and what should be done. A lot of big games this so lets get to it.
(4-2) Philadelphia Eagles at (4-2) Tennessee Titans
You never know what you're going to get from week to week the Eagles. Even though they have won four, they don't have consistency but then again neither do the Titans. I am going to go with the Titans this week. They crushed their last opponent so they are rolling right now.

I am going with Miami this week. I just have a good feeling about them. Miami has got a great offense and their defense is starting to come around. Chad Henne is becoming an elite Quarterback in the NFL. He just need more weapons to throw to. Miami will pull it out

I am not sure what to think of either team at this point but it seems as if though Pete Carroll has got Seattle dialed in. I am going with Seattle because Arizona is another team not showing a lot of consistency either. It will be a good divisional rival game. I am going with the Seahawks this week.

NFL Week 6 Review
Well this past week was a crazy one for football. There was a lot of very close games this week. Eight games were decided by 7 points or less this week and there was even a few overtime games. Right now the main issue is the violent hits that took place this weekend. There was a lot more then usual in a week and now it sounds like the NFL is going to start coming down harder on players for the hard hits. We shall see how that turns out.
There are still some teams out there that are doing absolutely terrible. Dallas, Carolina, Buffalo, Cleveland, and San Fransisco. Teams that are starting to pick it up are Houston, Kansas City, Miami, Seattle, and Tennessee. I see all of these teams being in the thick of things towards the end of the season.
The Lions keep getting closer and closer each week. In all reality the Lions should be 5-1 with all the close games they have. The only game they played that wasn't close was against Minnesota but they could have won that one too. There is something from the Lions and I can't quite put my finger on it. When they finally get that missing piece I think they will be great.

College Football Weekly
This week was another week of upsets and shakeups. Texas beat #5 Nebraska, Kentucky beat #10 South Carolina, Hawaii beat #19 Nevada, Miss. St beat #22 Florida, Washington beat #24 Oregon St., and #18 Wisconsin beat #1 Ohio State. I would seriously hate to be ranked #1 right because they keep losing. A lot of pressure on all the teams this year to do well. Next week we have some big games that include:

It is very hard to believe that Michigan State is the highest ranked Big Ten team but they have an Ohio State loss to thank for that. Oklahoma is back where they usually are and that's at the top. However people are still bickering about Boise State not being number 1. The question is why should they be? They have maybe one tough game all year. They have beaten one decent teams in a bowl games and that's TCU. They did beat Oklahoma in 2007 which is really when the interest was sparked. Until Boise St. starts beating good teams on a regular basis they don't deserve the number 1 spot. Thoughts on TNA Impact and Reaction 10/14/2010
Last night was out of control, chaotic, and just plain crazy. Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff came out and revealed their master plan and revealed who was all involved. The story now makes sense on this group formed. A lot of fans criticized what happened on Sunday night but I think it's going to be a great rest of 2010 in TNA.
What shocked me is when Hogan and Flair joined forces and it took over from there. The Pope got thrown to the wolves by having to fight 5 members of Fortune alone. Then you had Kurt Angle get taken out by Jeff Jarrett. Sting and Kevin Nash walked away last night which makes me wonder with the three of them gone will they eventually return as the Main Event Mafia.
Mr. Anderson and RVD both wanted answers but instead they got thrown into a match against each to determine the number one contender for the TNA World Title. Just one problem, the match went to a no contest thanks Jeff Hardy taking both men out.
Reaction was really good, I have a feeling you're going to see Samoa Joe, Pope, RVD, Anderson and others form together to try and combat the new regime. I am not sure what's going to happen but whatever it is, the next few weeks in TNA are going to be great.

Thoughts on Brett Favre, Gilbert Arenas, and Detroit Tigers
A lot has been going the last few days I haven't able to cover on a story by story basis. First lets begin with the Brett Favre allegations. He supposedly sent pictures to a female employee of the New York Jets while he was there. The females name is Jen Sterger, and no offense if I was a guy not married I would definitely be hooking up with her. However, Brett Favre is married and his wife fought through breast cancer while he played football. I thought Brett Favre was a little more classy then that. I've talk to various people who follow sports like I who have heard the voice mails and they all say it's Favre. If it is Favre, not only has he damaged his reputation, but maybe even his legendary status as well. Conveniently Favre's elbow hurts and he might not play this Sunday. Stay tuned to see what unfolds.
Now on to an even more disturbing piece of news. Gilbert Arenas has been fined for faking an injury so he could skip games. What is with this guy? First he goes to jail for carrying a gun into the arena and now this. Arenas was known to be one of the top basketball players 3-4 years ago but now he's become an absolute joke and disgrace. It's no wonder why Washington wants him out. Who fakes an injury these days? I am sure some exaggerate their injuries but why fake one if you know you're probably going to get caught. It's just plain stupid.
There is a lot of baseball news going on as well. Fredi Gonzales is the new manager of the Atlanta Braves and he was introduced by Bobby Cox. Also, the Tigers have declined their option on Magglio Ordonez for next year. I am not surprised by this because Maggs is not worth 15 million dollars anymore. Tigers have also let Damon, Bonderman and Laird go from their contracts. People have said that the Tigers are going to be a totally different team next year. Only time will tell this off-season to see what happens.

NFL Week 6 Preview
Well week 6 is here and we are starting to figure out who's good and who not. Since it's week six, I am going to pick six. And if you didn't that reference then you're an idiot, just kidding. So here we go, the six games that are the most interesting this week.
(4-1) Baltimore Ravens at (3-1) New England Patriots
The Ravens defense against the Patriots offense without Randy Moss. That's an easy guess, so I am going with the Ravens on this one. The Patriots did re-sign Deon Branch but he's no Moss. The Ravens offense has also been a better this year with their key additions. Baltimore is definitely one of the teams to beat right now and New England will find that out on Sunday.
(4-1) Atlanta Falcons at (3-2) Philadelphia Eagles
The question is will Vick start or not? It doesn't matter because Atlanta is on fire and Atlanta is the team to beat in the NFC South. Falcons prove their the more dominant bird in the NFL, and go to 5-1
(2-2) Miami Dolphins at (3-2) Green Bay Packers
With the injuries piling up for the Packers, I don;t think they will be able to just skate by Miami. I will say this, if Aaron Rodgers starts the Packers will have a chance at winning. If he does not start, the Dolphins will improve their record to 3-2.
(3-1) Kansas City Chiefs at (3-2) Houston Texans
This should be an explosive game because both have dynamic offenses and pretty decent defenses. I am however going to with Houston because they have played tougher opponents and have proven to be legitimate whereas Kansas City played one tough team and lost. I could be wrong though. This is a very hard game to figure out. It will be a good one though.
(1-3) Dallas Cowboys at (1-3) Minnesota Vikings
I honestly don't know which team is worst at this point. I feel very bad for Minnesota fans because they thought they were getting the same Brett Favre they had this year and they're not. The Cowboys on the other hand are just that, the Cowboys. They are suppose to be America's team, but they have become the joke of the NFL. Let me this straight the Vikings and Cowboys share the same record as the Browns and you mine as well throw in the Lions because they have only one win. When you're in that company you're pathetic. They are also not far behind from how bad the Bills, Panthers, and 49ers. Need I say more? I am going with the Vikings, because they are at home and Randy Moss will hopefully show up to play in his homecoming to Minnesota. Vikings in a close one as where I am standing.
(3-2) Indianapolis Colts at (3-2) Washington Redskins.
Another game I am not sure about right now because both teams have gotten lucky wins and them suffered some embarrassing loses. I am going to go with the Redskins this time only because they have beaten some good teams. Who has Indy beat? Teams that are lackluster to decent at best. I am going with the Skins in a tight one.
And for those of you who want to know my opinion on the Saints, because everyone keeps asking, the truth is I picked the Buccaneers to beat them this week. Lets look this for a minute because what you're thinking. You're thinking I am nuts but the scores show for themselves.

NFL Week 5 Review
It was a great game to end the great week in football this week. A lot of exciting things happened this weekend in football. The first thing I would like to point out is the Lions got their first win of the year in convincing fashion. They actually looked like a legitimate NFL team when they put a beat down on the Rams.
Kansas City lost which means there are no undefeated teams left in the league. I think KC is still legit though. They put up a good fight against the Colts. I keep saying it every week that the Colts and Saints are not as a great as they use to be and that they will have a hard time making the playoffs. The Saints couldn't even beat Arizona this week. So if you're thinking the Colts, Saints, Cowboys, Giants, or Minnesota are Super Bowl contending team you're nuts. They got a lot of competition in teams like Chicago, Atlanta, and yes Kansas City.
I am not even going to talk about my week in fantasy because I got my butt handed me in all three leagues. I might to start making some moves and have a little bit of a shakeup on my team.
Anyways check back tomorrow for my week 6 predictions. I got some crazy ones out there for you.

College Football Weekly
What a crazy week in College Football. Alabama gets knocked off by South Carolina and MSU proves to be the dominant team in the state of Michigan. Here are some of the scores of the big games that happened.

Thoughts on TNA Bound for Glory
Last night was truly a night of crossing the line for TNA. TNA had it's biggest pay-per-view of the year last night Bound for Glory last night and it didn't fail. The opening match was the Motor City Machine Guns taking on Generation Me. All I got to say is another great match for these two teams. A great match and another great win for the Motor City Machine Guns who retained the tag titles.
The Knockouts title match was very good, and I loved the interaction between Mickie James and all the Knockouts. In the end, Tara took advantage of Madison Rayne being on the outside and become the new Knockouts champion. After the match, Mickie James decked Madison. I think they might be setting up a feud between the two. It's great to see Mickie James getting some positive exposure again, unlike what WWE was doing to her towards the end.
All I got to say is Eric Young & Orlando Jordan versus Ink Inc was absolutely hilarious. I repeatedly asked myself during the match, what the hell was Eric Young doing? TNA has made EY a goofball again and I think it's funny. Ink Inc won when EY beat up on OJ and allowed them to get the pin. It was a very entertaining match.
The TNA X Division Championship match between Jay Lethal and Doug Williams was definitely a solid match which both men should be proud of. I was really impressed with both men's heart in the match. Jay Lethal is definitely the future of pro wrestling. It's great seeing him be his own man and doing his own thing. Doug Williams reminds me a lot of Taz with all the suplex's he does. Great win for Jay Lethal proving why he's the heart and soul of the X Division right now.
The Monster's Ball Match between Abyss and Rob Van Dam had some brutality to it and was definitely a good match for both guys. I can't believe they didn't come out with more damage with all the barbed wire that was inflicted on them. RVD wins but "They" didn't reveal themselves however Abyss promised they would by the end of the night.
In the Three-on-Two Handicap Match that featured Sting, Kevin Nash & D'Angelo Dinero vs. Samoa Joe & Jeff Jarrett was definitely surprising. I really didn't think Jarrett would turn on Joe. What was really awesome was the looks on everyone's face including their opponents when it happened. I was impressed by Kevin Nash that he was able to power-bomb Samoa Joe. The old man can still get it done. Whether or not Nash retires or not remains to be seen but it was a good way for him to go out if he is.
The Lethal Lockdown Match was a bloody and brutal as I thought it would be. Flair and Foley of course got into it and beat each other up. I have to give props to Stevie Richards though because he appeared to break his ankle shortly after the match started and he managed to fight through it. He even managed to climb the cage to fight Kazarian on top. Brian Kendrick helped out by putting Kazarian through a table on top of the steel cage. The match ended when Tommy Dreamer did a Dreamer Driver from the top rope on to a chair to A.J. Styles. It was bloody, crazy, brutal and everything a steel cage match should be. It was a great way for the rivalry to end.
The Main Event was for the TNA Championship in a Three-Way Match putting Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Anderson vs. Jeff Hardy. This was an awesome match. All three men wouldn't quit, showed a lot of heart and should be proud of their match. The result of the match was shocking. The referee got knocked out and so Eric Bischoff came out to hit someone with a chair but Hogan's music hit and he came out on crutches. I was shocked to see him there. He entered the ring and what happen next was crazy. Hardy took both crutches and whacked Kurt Angle and Mr. Anderson for the win and to become the new TNA Heavyweight Champion. After the match Abyss, and Jeff Jarrett came out to celebrate and it was revealed that all those guys were "They". RVD came out to talk to Hardy but he got his clocked clean to end the show.
Now I know all the internet wrestling fans, and WWE loyalists are probably trashing the ending of the show but I think it was awesome. I think it's great that TNA has the guts to do something WWE doesn't and that's turn their top face into a heel. No one saw Hardy turning heel, and if they did it was a lucky guess. I will be very curious to see how this turns out. It was like Bash of the Beach 1996 all over again, and I mean that literally. This will make for some good story line's over the next couple of months because here is what I think is going to happen at Turning Point based on what I've read and seen.

I also wonder what will happen to Kurt Angle now. He promised to retire if he didn't win but he was not the one who got pinned. I am also curious to see what they do with Mr. Anderson now. TNA is going to be crazy. I cannot wait for Impact this Thursday. I loved this pay-per-view. So far, it's the best PPV of the year.

In the Three-on-Two Handicap Match that featured Sting, Kevin Nash & D'Angelo Dinero vs. Samoa Joe & Jeff Jarrett was definitely surprising. I really didn't think Jarrett would turn on Joe. What was really awesome was the looks on everyone's face including their opponents when it happened. I was impressed by Kevin Nash that he was able to power-bomb Samoa Joe. The old man can still get it done. Whether or not Nash retires or not remains to be seen but it was a good way for him to go out if he is.
The Lethal Lockdown Match was a bloody and brutal as I thought it would be. Flair and Foley of course got into it and beat each other up. I have to give props to Stevie Richards though because he appeared to break his ankle shortly after the match started and he managed to fight through it. He even managed to climb the cage to fight Kazarian on top. Brian Kendrick helped out by putting Kazarian through a table on top of the steel cage. The match ended when Tommy Dreamer did a Dreamer Driver from the top rope on to a chair to A.J. Styles. It was bloody, crazy, brutal and everything a steel cage match should be. It was a great way for the rivalry to end.
The Main Event was for the TNA Championship in a Three-Way Match putting Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Anderson vs. Jeff Hardy. This was an awesome match. All three men wouldn't quit, showed a lot of heart and should be proud of their match. The result of the match was shocking. The referee got knocked out and so Eric Bischoff came out to hit someone with a chair but Hogan's music hit and he came out on crutches. I was shocked to see him there. He entered the ring and what happen next was crazy. Hardy took both crutches and whacked Kurt Angle and Mr. Anderson for the win and to become the new TNA Heavyweight Champion. After the match Abyss, and Jeff Jarrett came out to celebrate and it was revealed that all those guys were "They". RVD came out to talk to Hardy but he got his clocked clean to end the show.
Now I know all the internet wrestling fans, and WWE loyalists are probably trashing the ending of the show but I think it was awesome. I think it's great that TNA has the guts to do something WWE doesn't and that's turn their top face into a heel. No one saw Hardy turning heel, and if they did it was a lucky guess. I will be very curious to see how this turns out. It was like Bash of the Beach 1996 all over again, and I mean that literally. This will make for some good story line's over the next couple of months because here is what I think is going to happen at Turning Point based on what I've read and seen.

Jeff Jarrett vs. Samoa Joe
I also wonder what will happen to Kurt Angle now. He promised to retire if he didn't win but he was not the one who got pinned. I am also curious to see what they do with Mr. Anderson now. TNA is going to be crazy. I cannot wait for Impact this Thursday. I loved this pay-per-view. So far, it's the best PPV of the year.

Thoughts on TNA Impact and Reaction 10/7/2010 and Bound for Glory Preview
Last night was one hell of an impact, even though there was 4 matches. It was a great buildup to Bound for Glory this Sunday. Angelina Love and Velvet Sky won the rights to The Beautiful People then afterward Mickie James made her debut in TNA. It was announced that she would be the special guest referee for the Knockouts title match this Sunday.
Someone who will not be there Sunday is Hulk Hogan who underwent another back surgery this week which means Jeff Jarrett and Samoa Joe will take on Nash, Sting and The Pope in a handicap match. Something tells me something big is going to happen.
Speaking of big, how awesome was the match between Flair and Foley. It was a bloodbath to say the least and Foley won. Afterward, Fortune beat down Foley until EV2.0 made the save. I was surprised by both guys in the match and they proved they can still go.
The Battle Royal was really sweet, until Abyss came in literally took everyone out. I love how enemies were even joining together to take him out. I also love the little showdown between Kevin Nash and Matt Morgan. Maybe that's a sign of things to come. Kurt Angle eventually won the Battle Royal by eliminating Mr. Anderson which led to Reaction.
During Reaction Anderson had some not so nice things to say about Angle which led to a fight the last five minutes of Reaction. Both EV2.0 and Fortune were pumped up about their match on Reaction. It was a good lead-in to this Sundays pay-per-view. Here is the current lineup for this Sunday's PPV.

Roy Halladay Makes Post-Season History
The Phillies definitely got a winner this past off season when they signed Roy Halladay. He went 21-10 this season and led the Phillies to the playoffs again. Halladay pitched in his ever postseason game last night and boy did he make it a memorable. He pitched a no hitter against the Cincinnati Reds. The only other person who has ever thrown a no hitter was Don Larsen in game 5 of the 1956 World Series which happen to be a perfect game. Halladay became the fifth pitcher to throw two no-hitters in one season, and it's the first no-hitter at Citizens Bank Park.
Like I said the Phillies got a winner when they signed Roy Halladay. If Doc wouldn't have thrown the no hitter yesterday we would have been talking about the great pitching performance by Cliff Lee who got the momentum rolling for Texas. The Phillies also have momentum now, and the Reds have to be deflated after being dominated like that. There is a lot more to come from these teams. Keep checking back to see if anyone has a spectacular performance.

Detroit Pistons Have Been Sold to Mike Ilitch
In some big news for sports in Detroit, the Detroit Pistons have been sold to Mike Ilitch who also owns the Red Wings and Tigers. The Pistons had been owned by Bill Davidson for over 30 years but since his passing the talks of the Pistons being sold started fairly quickly. Mike Ilitch has owned the Red Wings since 1982, and the Tigers since 1992. Ilitch also owns Little Caesars Pizza which has pizza places worldwide.
The deal has not been finalized yet but when it is, expect some big things for the Pistons. However there will be a lot of questions when the deal takes place, like will Joe Dumars be the GM and how much Ilitch will spend to get the Pistons back to the NBA Championship. It should also be noted that Ilitch is also getting Palace Sports and Entertainment. There had been talks if Ilitch got the Pistons that he would move the Red Wings to the Palace temporarily so he could build a new arena for the Red Wings. Joe Louis is great but it's small compared to other hockey arena's.
You can pretty much say that Ilitch owns Detroit now. If only the NFL would allow him to buy the Lions, he would be the most powerful man in Detroit. Unfortunately the NFL does not allow other sports owners to own a football team. Kind of stupid if you ask me, but those are the rules and I am not the one makes them. The TNA Mystery: Who are "They"
For months now on TNA Impact, Abyss has been saying that "they" are coming on 10-10-10 at Bound for Glory. Originally people thought it was EV 2.0 and then when EV 2.0 attacked Abyss then that went right out the window. A lot of people then were under the mindset that Fortune was controlling Abyss and telling him what to do. Abyss said Fortune was not "they." So the big question is who are "they?" Well I have heard a lot theory's, and explanations so I am going to go through a couple of them.
Theory 1: The most common one I heard was Hulk Hogan turning heel and joining Nash and Sting. It would make sense to reform the Wolfpac once again. You also have to remember that Bound for Glory is in Daytona Beach, the same place where Hogan turned heel in 1996 at Bash of the Beach. I also have to add that it's in the same arena that Hogan turned heel in. History could repeat itself and with all the ironies and coincidences it wouldn't surprise me if this happen. The other part of this theory is that Hogan, and Jarrett turn heel and that Nash, Sting and Pope turn face with Samoa Joe on their side.
Theory 2: Some people think, it's going to be a group of former WWE stars like Carlito, Gregory Helms, Shelton Benjamin, and others. To add that theory, they could be Haas and Benjamin and they could come in to help Kurt Angle win the TNA Heavyweight Title. It would be great to see some of the WWE stars who were underused and misused there. TNA would be a great fit for them and it would be a better place for them to showcase their talents.

U of M-MSU: A Rivalry Renewed
For the first time in a long time, MSU and U of M face each other with 5-0 records, which puts more emphasis on the game. Whoever wins this game will have a share of the Big Ten lead with Ohio State which is really important because if Ohio State happens to lose, then either team has a chance to make a really good bowl game this year.
Lets start with Michigan and the one crazy man they have on their team. Denard Robinson is a one man offensive machine. He proved he can run and pass, and be good at both. The problem with the Wolverines is they don't have a great defense but they get the job done when it means the most.
Then there is MSU who has Kirk Cousins at QB and a little bit better of a defense then U of M. It's going to hurt them this week not having Coach Dantonio on the sidelines. They are playing in the Big House and that crowd noise is unbelievable there. Michigan State has beaten U of M the last two years but I am going to say this year will be different.
U of M has home field advantage and no one really has figured out how to stop Denard Robinson. Look at his numbers if you need proof. He has passed for 1008 yards, and has rushed for 905 yards. Not to mention the guy has 8 touchdowns. He leads in a lot of categories right now.

NFL Week 5 Preview
Well some big news coming out of the NFL last night. The Bills have traded Marshawn Lynch to the Seahawks in exchange for some draft picks. Having Lynch there will definitely be a good thing for the Seahawks. Another huge trade in the works is the Patriots sending Randy Moss to the Vikings where he originally started his NFL career. That would be great for Brett Favre and company because they need all the help they can get. There are some good games on this week but as usual, I am picking the four that I think will be the best.
(3-0) Kansas City Chiefs at(2-2) Indianapolis Colts
This will be the true test for the Chiefs but I think they will win in Indy. The Colts have no momentum right now. They are not the same Colts they once were. The offense is good, but the defense is horrible. The defense will not be able to stop the dynamic offense of Kansas City. KC is going 4-0
(3-1) Green Bay Packers at(2-2) Washington Redskins
This game will be very interesting to watch. The Redskins are showing signs of a great football team but the Packers are just really good right now. I am going to say Green Bay is going to win again, only because of that defense they over there. Even though they almost lost to Detroit, their defense is becoming one of the best in the league.
(2-2) Tennessee Titans at (1-2) Dallas Cowboys
The on again, off again Cowboys play a very great offense in the Titans. The Cowboys can never seem to make up their mind which team they want to show up. The Titans on the other hand, have a good solid team with Chris Johnson and Vince Young. The Cowboys lose at home in a close one. Tony Romo cannot be trusted with the football.
(1-2) Minnesota Vikings at(3-1) New York Jets
Well Brett Favre is starting to show his true age, and how not so great he is now. However if the Vikings get Moss, then that will be extra. Just one problem, Santonio Holmes returns this week after his 4 game suspension so now you have Holmes and Edwards. Mark Sanchez is finally looking like a pro QB. I think the Jets win easily and the defense is going to crush Favre.
Well there you have it, my predictions for the week. As always check back to read my weekly reviews on Tuesday. There might be a lot to talk about when this week is done.

NFL Week 4 Review
What a week it was, a lot of upsets, shockers and more. Lets start with what a lot of people are talking about and that was the 59 yard field goal that Jacksonville kicked to beat the Colts. The Colts are 2-2 and if they keep it up like this, they won't make the playoffs. The Colts, Giants, and Saints aren't the powerhouses they are perceived to be. I've said it before and I will say again, the New Orleans Saints have been figured out and they are barely winning their games. They lost one game to a great team. Look who they have to play this season. They play Pittsburgh, Dallas, Seattle, Cincinnati, Baltimore, and Atlanta again. I can tell you this much right, they will lose at least half of those games.
Their are a lot of teams that are hit and miss right now. I would say San Diego, Dallas, Seattle, Giants are all hit and miss teams right now that you don't know what they are going to do from week to week.
A lot of QB injuries this year with two more added. Michael Vick and Jay Cutler can be added to the list. Cutler and the Bears got rocked by the Giants. Vick bruised his ribs and is out for a week. Speaking of Philly, what a homecoming for McNabb who beat this old team this week. He proved it was a mistake by the Eagles to get rid of them.
Teams still in search for their first win are Detroit, Carolina, San Fransisco, and Buffalo. With the exception of Buffalo, all these teams have what it takes to win but have just been unlucky this year so far. The only team that remains undefeated is Kansas City, only because they had a bye week. They face some tough competition coming up like Indianapolis, Houston, Denver, Seattle, and Tennessee. They won't go undefeated. If they did, it would be a huge fluke like when the Giants won the Super Bowl over New England.

In my opinion the World Series will be the Tampa Bay Rays taking on the Atlanta Braves. It is destiny that Box Cox go out on a high note. That's the best way for legendary baseball career to end. The Braves will be playing the hardest to make sure this happens. Philly is going to be tough and so are the Rangers. My gut feeling is telling me Rays-Braves in a warm weather World Series. Only time will tell.

College Football Weekly
Well what a week it was in College Football. A lot of leap frogging in the BCS standings and a few upsets along the way. I mean you had Michigan St. defeat Wisconsin, Virginia Tech defeated North Carolina State, and the one I could not believe was when Washington defeated USC. Like I said they top 25 rankings have changed dramatically. There are some more big time games this week that will keep shaking up the BCS standings.

The Last Great Year in WWE
As I was watching old WWE videos this past weekend, I came up with the conclusion that the last great year WWE had was 2001. In 2001, WWE bought WCW but for the majority of the year, the ran an invasion angle with WCW and ECW. It was chaos, unpredictable and you really didn't know who was going to jump ship or come in.
It had some of the greatest matches that wrestling has ever seen. Let me pick one from each PPV starting with Royal Rumble.
Royal Rumble- Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit in a Ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
No Way Out- Triple H vs. Steve Austin in a Three Stages of Hell Match
Wrestlemania 17- The Rock vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin in a No disqualification match for the WWE Championship (That whole Wrestlemania was great and my personal favorite)
Backlash- The Two Man Power Trip (WWE Champion Steve Austin and WWE Intercontinental Champion Triple H) vs. Kane and The Undertaker (c) in a Tag Team match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, WWE Championship and WWE Tag Team Championship
Judgment Day- Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit in a Two out of three falls match
King of the Ring- Kurt Angle vs. Shane McMahon in a Street Fight
InVasion- Booker T, Diamond Dallas Page, Rhyno and The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von) vs. Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, The Undertaker and Kane

So as you can see, WWE had a lot of great matches. When I really think about it, every pay-per-view was stacked and solid. Once the WCW/ECW Alliance angle ended, that's when WWE lost their edge. They have had some great matches and great angles since then but a full year of great wrestling, not even close. The only way WWE could ever match this is if Vince buys out TNA and they do TNA Invasion angle which I doubt will ever happen.
This year was what I had come to expect from WWE but they are from what they were 10 years ago. Maybe someday they will get back there again. I remember in 2001 when it was Raw, Smackdown, Sunday Night Heat and Tough Enough. It was a great year that will never be duplicated again. Now you all know why I have such a problem with WWE now, because they went from greatness to pathetic. Like I said hopefully someday they will reach great heights again.

The Undertaker: A Twenty Year Legacy
We are quickly approaching WWE's annual pay-per-view Survivor Series. However this year's Survivor Series has some meaning. This it will make twenty years since The Undertaker made his debut and what a career it has been. The Undertaker never lost his first match until a year after his debut and that was to Hulk Hogan. He defeated Hogan at Survivor Series 1991 and lost the title back just three days later. In 1991, the Wrestlemania streak began with Jimmy Snuka. That victory marked the end of Snuka's prime run and the beginning of Undertaker's. The Undertaker is 18-0 at Wrestlemania and I am sure he'll try to make it to 20-0. My top 5 favorite Wrestlemania matches of The Undertaker are:
Wrestlemania 14 vs. Kane
Wrestlemania 17 vs. Triple H
Wrestlemania 18 vs. Ric Flair
Wrestlemania 21 vs. Randy Orton
Wrestlemania 25 vs. Shawn Michaels
His matches against Batista and Edge have also been considered classics. The Undertaker has also won the Royal Rumble, 6 time Tag Team Champion, 7 time World Champion, and also held the Hardcore title on one occasion. Some of his best feuds have been with Yokozuna, Mankind, Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, Diamond Dallas Page, and many others.
My favorite Undertaker match of all time would be the one that most people remember. King of the Ring 1998 when he faced Mankind in Hell in a Cell. It was one of the craziest matches ever. That match changed wrestling as we know it.
The Undertaker has had one person in his career that's been a very important, and that's Paul Bearer. His first manager was Brother Love but then WWE realized Paul Bearer would be a better fit for The Undertaker. Bearer has been with him, against him and has returned out of know where just like he did a week ago.
I have not watched a WWE pay-per-view in months but I will tune in to Survivor Series to see what they do with The Undertaker. He has been a very important part to the success WWE has had in the last twenty years. He stayed when people left, he returned when people said he was done, and he has captured the attention of millions of wrestling fans all over the world. He definitely deserves the respect of the fans, his peers and anyone else involved with pro wrestling.
The Undertaker is a legend and when his time is done in the ring, he will be remembered by anyone who ever had the privilege of watching him.

Thoughts on TNA Impact and Reaction 9/30/2010
Let me being with saying that last nights verbal confrontation between Ric Flair and Mick Foley was one of the best in pro wrestling history. It was great to see the passion from these two again and now it translated into a Last Man Standing next week on Impact. Speaking of Impact next week, it is live and it's called Before the Glory. It will also feature a Battle Royal Invitational that will include all the stars on the Bound for Glory pay per view.
The first match was Tommy Dreamer and Rhino vs. Beer Money. It was a pretty good opening match that had a lot of intensity. Dreamer and Rhino won and that led to another brawl between EV2.0 and Fortune. This led to Flair and Foley's segment in the the ring. What a great 30 minutes of wrestling between all of this.
Ken Anderson got a surprising win over Samoa Joe. That led into an in-ring promo by Sting, Pope and Kevin Nash. At Bound For Glory it will be the three of them taking on Samoa Joe, Jeff Jarrett....and Hulk Hogan. That's huge but no one knows how bad Hulk's back is. Will be ready to go? Guess we will have to find out.
AJ Styles defeated Brian Kendrick in a solid match. I really like that they are giving Kendrick TV time. He never really got it in WWE. Kendrick was also featured on Reaction as the Impact player of the week. He has a very interesting character that never got brought out in WWE. I think TNA is letting him being himself.
In the main event, Abyss and Kurt Angle went at it. Before Abyss could do anymore damage, Mr. Anderson came in and made the save. That's how the show ended and transitioned into Reaction. I like the fact that Abyss and Kurt were in a steel cage. It added to the intensity of the match.
On Reaction, Vince Russo had some choice words for Hogan and Bischoff. I wonder if this was a shoot or work? I am not sure why Russo put his job in jeopardy if this wasn't a work. Anyways, I think Russo's time might be done in TNA. He needs to go anyways.
