NBA DRAFT, MORE WWE OF THE DRAFT AND MLB NEWS

First I would like to apologize because I didn't follow any college basketball this past year so I only knew of one guy and thats OJ Mayo who was drafted to Minnesota but then traded to Memphis earlier this morning. The Pistons got the follow people:
Trent Plaisted, Deron Washington, and Walter Sharpe. I don't have any info or insight on these guys so if anyone can provide me some I'd greatly apprieciate it.

Now on to the WWE Draft, more superstars were drafted this past Wednesday as part of a supplemental draft and my one of my new favorites, Kofi Kingston was drafted to Raw. I am happy about that because Kofi is awesome and deserves any opportunity or title he gets in the future. His style is like no-other Ive seen before. Look foward to great things from him.

The Tigers seem to be getting better and better again. In no time at will they be in 1st place. This past week though, not Tigers related, Astros player Shawn Chacon wound up throwing his GM by the neck this week after sparks flew in a meeting. Chacon was released last night and on waivers right now. What an idiot. He just threw his whole career right down the window by doing that. You don't strike a GM, they guy signs your check. Are you nuts? Man I am interested to see if someone picks up him up. Only time will tell.



This Sunday is WWE Night of Champions where ever title in WWE is on the line. As usual it will be at the 28th st. Buffalo Wild Wings. Here is the line up

Thoughts on the WWE Draft

Well the 2008 WWE Draft has come and gone and it was probably the biggest, the best and the most surprising draft of all time. I cannot believe who went where. Let’s recap

Raw Added:
CM Punk
Rey Mysterio
Kane
Michael Cole
Batista

Smackdown Added:
Umaga
Jeff Hardy
Jim Ross
Mr. Kennedy
Triple H

ECW Added:
Matt Hardy

I think all 3 brands got some great talent. I think it was good that ECW lost Kane and Punk. Kane is a veteran who deserves more and Punk is ready for the big time. Adding Matt Hardy was good because he is a great wrestler and will have some great matches over there. It is however time to starting pushing guys harder like Kofi, Elijah Burke, and Shelton Benjamin. And how about that newcomer they have Evan Bourne. WWE finally made a smart signing

On the Smackdown side of it, everything changes. Triple H, Kennedy, Umaga, and Hardy are all forces to be reckoned with. I think that Triple H somehow will wind up back on Raw because of his displeasure of working on Tuesday Night tapings. However if he is there to stay its going to be interesting to see what happens. I am really looking forward to an Umaga vs. Undertaker feud when the Undertaker comes back.

Last but not least you have Raw. They added to great talents in CM Punk and Rey Mysterio. The moment Mysterio was drafted the match I wanted to see the most is Rey vs. Shawn. They have only fought once and that was the Eddie Guerrero tribute show. I think CM Punk will do great on Raw. Then you have the two big men, Kane and Batista. I would not be surprised to see Batista wearing gold on Raw again.

I will say the one bad thing about the Draft was J.R. being drafted to Smackdown and Michael Cole being drafted to Raw. J.R. was and is the voice of Raw but maybe that’s WWE’s way of saying that you need to start thinking about retirement and let someone new come in. Thank God Mike Adamle didn’t get drafted to Raw otherwise I would have quit watching wrestling all together. He’s just horrible. Anyways, the whole show was great in my opinion. It was much better then I thought it was going to be. I cannot wait for Smackdown this Friday and Night of Champions this Sunday. What a week in wrestling.

My Bold Prediction Comes True and More...

Finally I can say that I am right. Last year, on the day Kevin Garnett was traded to the Boston Celtics I told five people that they would win the NBA Title. Now all those months later I was right. I consistantly told people all year long Boston would win, and would win convincingly. I said it all a long. What the NBA wants, the NBA gets and they wanted the to most historic frachises in history to go at it for the title once again. The coolest thing I saw last night was KG hugging Bill Russell and saying, "I hope we made you proud. Russell replied with, "You did" Although the Detroit Pistons are my team and I will always root for them. I wanted Boston to win it all just so I could be right. Great job Boston but don't enjoy it too much because the Pistons will be back better then ever next year.

Marcus Thames....Thats all I can really say. He's killing the ball everytime at bat right now. I love watching the Tigers...I will always root for them even when they are losing and I get mad, I root for them. Their my team. No matter what.

Tigers, NBA Finals, Tiger and lots of wrestling stuff...

Well the Detroit Tigers had a 6-game win streak going last night but lost to the S.F. Giants in a close game. Fernando Rodney came back and Leyland foolishly put him back in a close game. They are out on the west coast for the rest of the week against the Giants and Padres. I think before the end of the month you will see the Tigers close to first again. They are playing a lot better baseball. And what Marcus Thames. He is just lighting it up. 5 Home Runs in 4 games. What else is going to happen? I would love to see him get 30 Home Runs this year. It's very possible he could. I look foward to the rest of the week because they are going to play some good baseball.

Game six of the NBA finals is tonight and let me tell you, Boston needs to win. In my opinion now the pressure is on the Celtics. If the Lakers win tonight, all the momentum is with them. Celtics need to finish tonight or else. They are too good of team to lose to the Lakers. If they don't win then there some serious problems. I'll be interested to see what happens tonight.

Is Tiger Woods super human or something? How the hell did he pull of what he did on a bad knee. Rocco Mediate was fun to watch and apart of me was hoping he'd win. The other part of me was glad that he proved his dominance again. It was probably the best Golfing Ive ever watched....Good job Tiger.

Now on to wrestling. The WWE Draft is next Monday night. Three hours long and I recieved a report that John Cena is headed back to Smackdown. Weather thats true or not is beyond me. However I had heard that Batista is coming back to Raw. I cannot wait until next week because Draft time is always awesome. You all better watch next week

There is only one title match left to be made and that is for Chris Jericho's Intercontential Championship. His opponent, the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels. Or atleast that would be the obvious choice. It's going to be a great PPV and I hope for once a few titles change hands. Last years no title changed hands.

And finally on September 9th the WWE will come out with the perfect DVD. The Life and Times of Mr. Perfect. Curt Hennig is and will always be one of my favorite wrestling. He was my favorite heel in the 90's. My top 5 matches of Mr. Perfect are:

I am sure their are a lot of great Mr. Perfect matches that I didn't mention but those for some reason are the five I like.

When I think of Mr. Perfect, I think of a character, great athlete and a great storyteller. He was one of those heels that eventually after awhile you had to cheer because he was so good. I cannot wait until the DVD comes out because it will be absolutely perfect.

Pistons Changing, NBA Finals, Strahan and more

Well Michael Curry is the new Pistons head coach. Well you can pretty much write the Pistons off for next year. He is no better then Flip Saunders was. Personally, in my humble opinion they should have tried to get Doug Collins or Avery Johnson. I have been told by numerous sources that Rasheed will more then likely be on his way out but who knows. I had heard talks of Chris Kaman and Carmelo Anthony coming to Detroit. That could be very interesting to see if it happens. I do not think the Pistons will make it to the Eastern Conference Finals next year. It is the Boston era once again.

Speaking of Boston, the NBA Finals have been interesting to watch. All 3 games have been great to watch...makes for great Television. The NBA got what they wanted and their ratings haven't been higher. I really hope Boston wins this series in 7. I love a good 7 game series between two great teams. Game Three is tonight

Michael Strahan retired the other day and to me he is a Hall of Famer in football. He is one of the best defensive players I've had the privilage of watching. He will go down as one of the all time great. Congrat Michael on your retirement and you Super Bowl win back in February. Congrats

In other big news on June 25th the one, the only, the Ultimate Warrior will be making his return to the ring in Spain. I am very interested to see this. It's time for him to prove all the WWE Nay-sayers wrong after the DVD came out a few years ago. It's time for all the little Warriors to jump on his back and get ready for the ride. I am so looking foward to seeing what happens. I hope I am not let down

Red Wings, Pistons, Dibiase Jr.

So I was so happy Wednesday night when the Wings won the Stanley Cup. It was the sweetest thing ever, and I love the dramatic missed goal at the end by Pittsburgh. It won't be the last time you see them in the finals. They will be back. They have a great time and made a series out of it. As much as I don't like Sidney Crosby I respect his ability as a Hockey player. Hockeytown is now Titletown. Hell Yes!

The Detroit Pistons fired Flip Saunders this past week and one has to wonder whats going to happen to the team because Dumars stated that everyone was tradeable at this point. I think you will see Rasheed, McDyess, and Lindsey Hunter gone. They are all in their mid-30's and the Pistons need some new young guns. I had heard the possibiliy of bringing in Elton Brand, and Emeka Okafer. That wouldnt be too bad. Get them both. Only time will tell whats going to happen to the Pistons

This past week Ted Dibiase Jr. challanged Cody Rhodes to a Tag Title match at Night of Champions and said he'd have his partner at the Draft. I am really curious to see who it is. I have a feeling it's going to be D.H. Smith or Afa Jr. and then during the tag match Cody turns on Hardcore and the stable forms from there. Thats my bold prediction for now. I think this new stable of 2nd/3rd generation guys is a great idea. They have credible names and it should be fun to watch all of them.

Red Wings, NBA Finals, WWE Draft, and more

Tonight could be the night. The Red Wings are up 3-1 on the Penguins. No surprise there. It's at home tonight at the Joe, and its going to be rocking. I cannot wait to see them hold the cup up again. Finally some glory brought back to Detroit.

The NBA Finals starts Thursday and to know surprise guess who it is? The Lakers and Celtics. It's going to be a series for the ages. I think the Celtics will win in seven. Only time will tell.

And last but not least, the WWE Draft is back on June 23rd and all three brands will be effected. Here are my five predictions to what might happen:

-Umaga to Smackdown
-CM Punk to Raw
-Jeff Hardy to ECW
-Vickie Guerrero to Raw

It should be very interesting and I look foward to it.
