The next two Satrdays I bowl in the Grand Rapids City Tournament. This Saturday I bowl at Northfield Lanes at 1pm and next Saturday at Lowell Lanes at 11:30am. It's my favorite time of the year. Last year I won money so my expectations are really high going into this weekend. I am going to remain focus and calm but am excited at the same time.
So my Tigers have dropped the first two damn games of the season which is ridiculious considering the amount of talent they got. However, in baseball it comes down to one thing...pitching!!! The Tigers are going to be in for a long season if they don't get it together. I am hoping they get it together soon. It will be interesting to see if they win a game this week.
This past Monday, Raw was very emotional as Ric Flair gave his farewell speech and it brought back a lot of memories. The Horsemen came back, as well as other legends and current superstars from all three brands. Here is a raw clip of what happened off the air. It was truly awesome...Woooo!!
The last thing I want to say is I am really happy to see Dale Jr. doing so well this year. Ironic he's doing well and his teammates are struggling. Only time will tell if Hendrick Motorsports can get it together.
Until Saturday have a good rest of the week. God Bless

Diamonds are Forever

From his days in the Four Horsemen to his run with Evolution, Ric Flair has always been synonymous with professional wrestling. With bleach blonde hair, and thousand dollar suits his charisma exceeded everyone else in the game. When thinking of what Ric Flair means to me. He means passion, love and respect for the pro wrestling and the people who are involved or want to be involved. He makes want to be in the professional wrestling business even more. With his trademark “Woooooo,” and famous strut he captured my attention for 20 years as a wrestling fan. He was hated, he is loved and he will always live by the phrase to “To be the Man, You have to beat the man.” Watching his confidence has given me more confidence to be successful. He is a 16-time World Heavyweight Champion, a feat that no other man has accomplished. He was simple but flashy at the same time. His thousand dollar robes brought out it has charismatic and cocky ways. That’s how I am, simply but flashy and exceeds confidence. The Nature Boy could do an interview like no other. He could build himself up really good, and make his opponent look even better. He has legendary feuds with some of the best of all time including Hulk Hogan, Harley Race, Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat and many more. He bled, paid the price and sacrificed to be the best. But like all great things they have to come an end.
On March 29 2008 he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame being the first active wrestler to do so. Everything about Ric Flair is real. His emotions, and his heart for pro wrestling are true in a business that people criticize for being fake. On March 30 2008 he wrestled one final time against his friend and another favorite of mind Shawn Michaels. He walked down the aisle for the last time but still remained the guy who coined the phrase “I'm a limousine-ridin', jet-flyin', kiss-stealin', wheelin-dealin', son of a gun, who has kissed the girls... WORLDWIDE... and made 'em cry.” When Shawn Michaels pinned Flair 1.…2.….3, tears came down unknowingly because I knew a legendary era was over. He was and is the best ever. He will go down as the greatest of all time, there never be another like Ric Flair. As he would say so many times in his interviews “Learn to love it, learn to live with it. Diamonds are forever, and so is Ric Flair!”
Wrestlemania 24 Recap
Wrestlemania 24 has come and gone and I must it was worth the money. It was so awesome. Even the lighting mishap made it fun because it’s all unpredictable. I was a little disappointed that Rev. Theory didn’t play but that’s alright. It was a good night, an emotional night. A night that will be remembered for a long time. So lets get down to the matches
The Belfast Brawl was decent, Finlay took some sick shots in the match. It was good to see Hornswoggle back. I noticed like everyone was wearing new tights last night and Finlay was one of them. I like how he’s playing out the Irish Heritage with new look. It was a good opener.
Next up was Money in the Bank. Money in the Bank always has some great spots in it especially when Shelton Benjamin went crashing through the ladder. It was also great to see Matt Hardy return setting up his feud with MVP again. CM Punk winning the match was a huge shock to me. I thought it was a good fight for the briefcase and I am looking forward to seeing CM Punk win a title on Raw or Smackdown eventually.
Umaga vs. Batista I had a feeling would be a slow paced match because they are both big men but I was surprised how well the match came off. Batista almost killed himself by trying to power bomb Umaga but it look good anyways. They did their best and that’s all you can ask. I hope to see them feud for awhile so they can try and do more stuff. It could be a very good feud if done right
Next was the match of the night. The Legendary Ric Flair vs. the Icon Shawn Michaels. Despite Shawn almost killing himself twice, this was indeed a great match. I loved the ending to this match when Shawn said “I am sorry, I love you,” and super kicked Flair and pinned him 1, 2, 3. It was a great way for him to go out. Shawn Michaels gave Ric Flair a wonderful match the will be remembered for a long time. Tears came down as he walked the aisle one last time. Thank you Ric Flair for everything you have done for the wrestling business. It’s because of guys like you I want to be involved in the business.
Next up with the Diva match in which the lights went out during the match. Thank God too. I cant stand anything WWE does with the Women. TNA has a better Women’s Division the WWE. Anyways it was a good moment to see Snoop Dog beat up Santino Marella. Funny stuff. Snoop Dog is cool.
The highly anticipated Triple Threat Match between John Cena, Randy Orton and Triple H. It was a good match but not the best Triple threat match. I was truly shocked to see Randy Orton hold on to the title but he is on top of his game. Who would have thought five years ago that the two champions going into Wrestlemania would be Randy Orton and Edge. I think this will set up a good match between Orton and HHH for Backlash. It was enjoyable to watch. Good job by all three guys. Very enjoyable.
Next was the most ridiculous match in Mania history. Mayweather vs. Big Show. It was so dumb. Big Show could easily break him in half. I am going to say this much, Floyd did a good job selling during the match but after match he didn’t sell any of the damage he received and acted all cocky. It was a slap in the face to the WWE and anyone who wrestles, period. I am glad it wasn’t the last match. I can honestly say that Lawrence Taylor had a better match 13 years ago. Thank God that part of Wrestlemania was over.
The Main Event between the Undertaker and Edge was freaking awesome. I enjoyed every bit of it. Edge really looked like he would beat the Deadman but Undertaker prevailed and won the title and kept his streak alive at 16-0 now. Awesome, just awesome. What a wonderful match. It proved to me Edge belongs in that spot and deserves everything he gets out of the business.
Overall if I had to rate the PPV out of 10, I would 7.5. It was in my top 10, possibly top 5 when I sit down and watch it again. It was good. The one thing I forgot to mention is Kane beat Chavo Guerrero for the ECW title in a matter of 10 seconds. It was awesome. Kane deserves to have a title again. I cannot wait to see the fallout from Wrestlemania. WWE really earned some of my respect back last night. All 3 PPV’s this year have been decent and I am really look forward to Backlash on April 27th. Thanks WWE for a great Wrestlemania

Rockets Streak Snapped
The Houston Rockets 22-game streak ended the other night against the Boston Celtics. I was thrilled that something like this got to happen. The NBA needed this. Sports in general needed this. I tip my hat off to the Houston Rockets. I think this streak will be remembered for a long time. I am looking foward to the playoffs and what might go down. I think the Rockets made them a serious condenter for the championship. I think right now it will come down to Sun/Lakers and Pistons/Celtics. That will be the final four. More as the playoffs get closer.

Bristol, Denver Nuggets, Houtson Rockets and more
So watching Bristol was awesome this past Sunday. Some wild and crazy things happened. Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin all look like they had the race won until Jeff Burton came soaring by. Richard Childress Racing finished 1, 2, 3. Totally awesome. Another good run for Dale Earnhardt Jr. He's the dominant one in Hendrick Motorsports right now. Good job Jr.
The Denver Nuggets blasted the Seattle Supersonics a few nights back. 168 points a regualation game without overtime. Thats unreal to me. Seattle should be embarrassed. I would be. I hear there moving soon to a new town. So long Seattle fans.
I wouldn't be a true sports fan if I didn't talk about the Houston Rockets and their winning ways. Their 22 game win streak is amazing. I would expect that out of Celtics, Pistons, Spurs, Suns, and Dallas but not the Rockets. I hope they break the streak which would be awesome to see. I look foward to see what happens tonight on TNT between the Rockets and Celtics.
I watched the Tigers yesterday on TV in their 5-3 lost against the Reds. They didn't look to bad. Relief Pitching is still a concern for me. Todd Jones needs to go. I am still hearing that Brandon nge might be a Dodger. Get some pitching for him and get rid of Jacque Jones while you're at it. He needs to be elsewhere. Give Raburn or Cleven a chance to play Leftfield.
It was announced Revelation Theory will be performing at Wrestlemania 24. I look really look foward to seeing that. "Light it up" is a great song as is "Snow" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Can't wait for Wrestlemania 24
Well everyone tata and have a great Easter with family and friends. I'll report back if something big happens (Like a Rockets loss)
***On a side note, I would like to offer my condolences to the family of legenedary wrestling manager Gary Hart. He passed away a couple of days ago. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Jeff Hardy, Wrestlemania Card/Thoughts, Goodyear and more
WWE Star Jeff Hardy was suspended following his lost to Chris Jericho for the Intercontential Championship. He is suspended for 60 days for violating the Wellness/Drug Policy. Now I am trying to professional when I say this but what an idiot. The guy had a major push going for him but now he screwed up majorly. I am very disappointed in Jeff Hardy for doing this even though I am still a fan of his. I hope he learns his lesson and realize that WWE doesn't take this lightly. Hopefully when he comes back he will get a decent push again.
Wrestlemania is shaping up to be awesome. Here is the card for WrestleMania XXIV:
Triple-Threat WWE Championship Match
- Randy Orton (c) vs. John Cena vs. Triple H
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match
- Edge (c) vs. The Undertaker
ECW Championship Match
- Chavo Guerrero (c) vs. Raw/SmackDown/ECW Battle Royal Winner
Money In The Bank Ladder Match
- Confirmed thus far: Ken Kennedy vs. Chris Jericho vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Carlito vs. MVP vs. CM Punk vs. John Morrison
Career Threatening Match
- Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels
Raw vs. SmackDown Match
- Umaga vs. Batista
BunnyMania Lumberjack Match
- Candice Michelle & Maria vs. Beth Phoenix & Melina
Belfast Brawl
- Finlay vs. John "Bradshaw" Layfield
Raw/SmackDown/ECW 24-Man Battle Royal
- Winner gets a ECW Championship shot the night against Chavo Guerrero.
Big Show vs. Floyd Mayweather
Some of predictions are true and things I didn't predict are looking pretty good. I am looking foward to 3 things. Money in the Bank, The ECW Title situation and Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels. It will be great. More on Mania as we get closer.
So this past Sunday Tony Stewart and others were complaining about the tires Goodyear provided them. I must say I dont blame him. It was scary just watching the race. Those cars were not handling right at all. I think Tony show commended for speaking out. It was to see Jr. have another stong finish. I look for big things from him this year. This weeks race should be interesting with what happens to Goodyear.
Finally on a lighter note, the Carolina Panthers added a couple of new linebackers which will help improve their defense. Thank God, I was getting worried there for awhile. I hope to see my Panthers back in the hunt this coming year.
Well thats all for now. Send me some questions, I love to debate with people. Peace and have a great Palm Sunday

Brett Farve and other sports legacys
With Brett Farves retirement yesterday one has to think he will go down as one of the greatest Quarterbacks of all time. He may not have won the most championships but he was always defying the odds. He is a 3-time MVP a feat that has never been accomplish and in all likely hood will never be again. He has had some amazing performances and has broke almost every record there is to break. Farve will never be forgotten by all sports fans.
When I think of legendary figures in sports, I think of Michael Jordan who did so much for the NBA. He brought in a new-dimension to the game. I think of Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron in terms of baseball. They played the game the right way and silienced all of their critics. The word legend is used to often but guys like Michael Jordan, Brett Farve, Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron are truely legendary.

Hendrick Motorsports, NFL Free Agency, Baseball Season Begins, and more
Yesterday was a good day for Dale Jr. at the race in California. I am a little bit frustrated right now that Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson don't want to help there teammate. I honestly thought thats why Dale Jr. came to Hendrick Motorsports. Obviously there egos are getting in the way. Jr could have easily won the 500 two weeks ago but Johnson and Gordan weren't there helping him. If I knew it was going to be like this I would have much rather seen him go to Joe Gibbs and be Stewarts partner because they always work well together.
NFL Free Agency has begun and thank god that the Patroits are breaking up. Now we don't have to hear about how great of team they have or had. I am a little disappointed in my Carolina Panthers. They let go of Deshauwn Foster, they traded Kris Jenkins however they got Mushin Muhammed back. They need to work on getting a running back and a possibly a new Quarterback if Jake has one more bad year. How about Shaun Rogers. I didn't see this coming. I mean I saw the trade but not to the Browns. I figure the Dolphins, Raiders or 49ers would take him. He is going to look horrible in a Cleveland Uniform.
Spring Training has started and my expectations for the Tigers are high. Higher then they were a year ago due to all of the talent they have. Should be good. Hank Steinbrenner really cracks me up with his comments about the Red Sox and their not being a Red Sox Nation. Theres more Sox fans then Yankee fans. He's jealous and resentful that they spend all this money and can't win a championship. Sounds like some other teams I know in sports.
My good friend Noah Lott has his DVD coming out this week I believe and it looks pretty awesome. I can't wait to watch it.
I am enjoying watching the Lakers right now. They have one superstar and a good supporting cast. Much like the Bulls were in the 90's. They are serious contender for the NBA Championship this year. They will have to get past the Spurs, Suns and Maverick. The East in my opinion is between three teams. Cleveland, Boston and Detroit. Detroit has been together the longest and will be in the hunt for title again. Should be a terrific ending to a good NBA season
And lastly on a awesome note. The Rock will be invovled at Wrestlemania 24 by inducting his Father and Grandfather into the Hall of Fame. If I know the fans they will start chanting "one more match," and will try to get him to comeback. He has had a great acting career so far but if he truly loves wrestling like he says he does he will make a return to the ring. I look foward to watching the Hall of Fame ceromonies as well as Wrestlemania 24.
Until next time. God Bless and keep watching sports.

Shaq/Kidd debut, and Kofi Kingston
I had the chance to watch Shaq's debut with the Suns last night. I must say I was quite impressed. 15 points and 9 rebounds in 28 minutes. I think he is only going to get better. I think it was a good trade for Pheonix because they didn't have to give up much to get him. Jason Kidd made his return to Dallas last night and didn't do well at all in my humble opinion and he played longer then Shaq did. I think this was a bad move by the Mavericks. What the hell is Mark Cuban thinking? He got rid nine guys for one. I don't understand it. The New Jersey Nets got the better end of the deal.
Now onto wrestling and a new favorite wrestler I have. Usually it takes me a long time to like a certain wrestler once he's started. It took me about a year to like Orton, Batista, and the Hardys (way back in 98.) However Kofi Kingston has definitely captured my attention and is quickly bceoming on of my favorites to watch every week. I really hope they start putting him up againt bigger name guys. He's got the ability to be up there wit some of the best. Here some of his matches of his below including one thats never been on TV. Enjoy and have a good weekend

Daytona 500, NBA All Star weekend, and No Way Out.
Ryan Newman wins the Daytona 500, what the heck? I was shocked as any to see that. In the last few laps I thought Jr. and Tony Stewart were going to go for it and win it. It was probably one of the greatest races I have ever seen. It was very competitive. Hats off to Ryan Newman, and teammate Kurt Busch who finished second. It was cool to see Sam Hornish Jr., and other Indy Car drivers in NASCAR. I think its safe to say that Indy Car/Open wheel driving is pretty much dead. All the glitz and glamour is in the Sprint Cup and the Nationwide Series.
The NBA All Star weekend was awesome. The celebrity game was great. Guys like Terrell Owens, Floyd Mayweather, Deion Sanders, Alyssa Milano, Chris Tucker and Master P. Of course this wasn’t Mayweather’s only event of the weekend, if you know what I mean. The rookie-sophmores game was classic as Daniel Gibson tore it up. Then on All-Star Saturday Night, the only thing that mattered to me was watching Dwight Howard kicking some major butt in the slam-dunk contest. He did somew crazy stuff. I am sure you can find some videos on youtube of his dunks. Finally the all star game. Ray Allen, Dwight Howard and MVP Lebron James tore it up for the East. It was a good game to watch
WWE No Way Out was last night and it was one of those built up PPV's that could have been better. CM Punk and Chavo had some great things in it which will likely continue the feud. The Smackdown Chamber match was not great. Only three great things happened in the match. All of them involved the Undertaker. Undertaker chokeslammed MVP off a chamber. Undertaker chokeslammed Finlay onto the steel floor siding. And finally the Undertaker had a friggin awesome counter that you'll have to see for yourself. Kennedy vs. Flair was decent with Flair winning in the end. The legend continues for now. Edge vs. Mysterio was short and sweet because of Reys torn Bicep. After the match the Big Show returned with a promo which led to him getting ready to chokeslam Rey. However he didnt get to chokeslam him because Floyd Mayweather hit the ring to make the save. Mayweather wound up busting Big Show up. Then you had John Cena vs. Randy Orton in a great match with even a better finish. Watch the PPV to see. Finally the Raw Chamber match which I knew would be the amtch of the night was going on. It was brutal to say least. My boy Triple H won with a pedigree to Jeff Hardy on a chair. It was a decent PPV with some interesting surprises. Can't wait for Raw tonight and Wrestlemania in 6 weeks.
Until next time, be safe and God Bless.

My Predicted/Rumored Matches for Wrestlemania 24
Based on what I have seen or heard as of late and with what might happen at No Way Out, I have made some predictions for Wrestlemania 24 and what the card may look like. Some of my picks might be dead on and some way off the mark but with 6 weeks left anything can happen.
WWE Title Match: Randy Orton vs. Triple H vs. John Cena
Thoughts- Randy Orton will either lose the title and use his rematch clause or he will get disqualified and Cena will make the case that he didn’t get a fair shot and he was never beat for the title. For sure though Triple H will be in the main event
World Heavyweight Title Match: Edge vs. Undertaker
Thoughts- Edge will retain vs. Mysterio and Undertaker will win the Elimination Chamber. There have also been talks of adding Mysterio and Batista due to the fact that the Undertakers schedule is limited. They need a bigger build-up
US Title Match: MVP vs. Matt Hardy
Thoughts- This feud is far from over. Hardy has been out of action since November and will look to comeback and take title away from MVP
ECW Title Match: Chavo Guerrero vs. CM Punk
Thoughts- This rivalry has not gone full-circle just yet. WWE needs to let these two loose and do their thing. I believe at Wrestlemania 24 they will do just that. I look for this to be an incredible match if it happens
Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Mr. Kennedy, Jeff Hardy, Shelton Benjamin, Umaga, Kane, Kofi Kingston, Cody Rhodes, Elijah Burke
Thoughts- This is just one these matches you have to pick and make some wild guesses. Mr. Kennedy and Hardy are shoe-ins. Shelton Benjamin has made these matches worth wild. Umaga has no feud with anyone right now. Kane also has now feud with anyone right now. Kingston, Burke, and Rhodes are all deserving of a push.
Women’s Title Match: Beth Phoenix vs. Maria vs. Candice Michelle vs. Mickie James vs. Ashley vs. Melina
Thoughts- When you think of Florida you think of beautiful women. So why not have 6 beautiful women wrestle for their title. It’s highly unlikely all 6 would be involved but I’ve heard Phoenix vs. Maria or Phoenix vs. Ashley. If they were smart they would utilize all 6 divas
Career Threatening Match: Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels
Thoughts- This will be Ric Flairs last match and what better guy to go out against then the Show-Stopper himself. This will be a classic match and Ric Flair will have a match for the ages and one that will be talked about for a long time.
Finlay vs. Vince McMahon
Thoughts- This match will take place with all the stuff going on with Hornswoggle as of late. However I heard that Mick Foley and Shane McMahon will get involved somehow. Should be an interesting feud.
No Hold Barred Match- JBL vs. Chris Jericho
Thoughts- This rivalry is heating up and the only way to end it is with brutality on the biggest stage of them all. JBL still hasn’t shown me that he is what he use to be. Maybe at Mania he will get his chance.
Wild Card Match- Hulk Hogan vs. The Great Khali
Thoughts- At the Raw 15th Anniversary this match seemed like it would happen for sure. However Hogan hasn’t said anything about Mania and the Great Khali. I have also heard rumored that Big Show could be involved as well. You never know with Hogan so there for this why I am calling it a wild card.
Other Thoughts- A lot of people left out, Mark Henry, Big Daddy V, Carlito, Miz/Morrison, and no legends. Unfortunately you cant put everyone on so someone is always left out. However I on March 30th Orlando Florida will be rocking and Wrestlemania 24 is going to be a night to remember.

UFC 81, Super Bowl 42, Knight, Shaq
What kind of person would I be, if I didn't say I told you so. Well I told you so. I did happen to watch the Brock Lesnar/Frank Mir fight and it last all of 90 seconds. However it didnt go as I thought it would. Brock pounded the hell out of Mir and busted him wide open but unfortunately he got caught in a leg bar and tapped. We definitely have not seen the last of Brock Lesnar.
Super 42 was better then I thought it would be. I thought it would be 40 point blowout but it was a tight game with heriocs from the Giants in the end. The pass that Eli Manning made to David Tyree in the 4th quarter was incredible. Just absolutely phenomenal. My favorite commercial of the Super Bowl was when the floats were fighting over the Coke and Charlie brown with his grin stole it away. Awesome stuff. I enjoyed.
I was indeed shocked to hear that Bobby Knight resigned as a coach the other day. He is a legend in college basketball. His antics were crazy but his methods were for real. He finished his career with 902 wins which impressive. He could be considered the greatest coach of all time. Bobby Knight you will never be forgotten
Well Shaquille O'Neil has been traded to the Pheonix for Shawn Marion. I really have no comment other then the fact that I think if Shaq becomes healthy again, the Suns will be in the Finals against Detroit or Boston. Can't wait to see him in a Suns uniform.
Well thats all from me for now. I am sure I'll have more at the end of the weekend once Daytona qualifying wraps up. Also Curtis Granderson hot a 5 year 30 million dollar deal. Well deserved I might add. Spring Season is almost here and I can't wait. And on that note I am out. God Bless

Super Bowl, NBA All-Star, Brandon Inge, Daytona 500 and more...
Well it’s my first official post of the year so let’s start with the Super Bowl this Sunday. It’s the New England Patriots versus the New York Giants. I for one thought Green Bay would be tougher for New England. I really enjoy the fact that the Giants think they can win against a superb Patriots team. I don’t care for the Patriots because of their antics but I do respect their ability and believe they will win the Super Bowl in blow out. For me the Super Bowl will be another reason to go out and party because I have no interest in watching it.
The NBA All Star game is coming soon as well. The starters have been announced and they are follows:
Eastern Conference- Jason Kidd, Dwayne Wade, Kevin Garnett, Lebron James, and Dwight Howard
Western Conference- Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Carmelo Anthony, Tim Duncan and Yao Ming.
Personally I would have liked to see Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton voted in as the starters because their team is doing better. What are the Nets and Heat doing? Absolutely Nothing. I hate the fans who vote in their favorites and not the people who deserve to be there. If it were me the whole Eastern Conference would be all Pistons and Celtics they are the only ones doing anything.
Chris Webber is back and with his original team in the Golden State Warriors. I like that. It’s cool that he is going back where he started even though I liked him better as a Piston. I wish him all the luck in the world though especially after the Warriors incredible run last year.
I found out that Brandon Inge will be the backup catcher. Apparently he is not happy about it and I wouldn’t be either. He is a great talent who should be on a different team playing full time. He is too much of a talent to be sitting on the bench. For his sake please trade him. It’s the only fair thing to do.
The Daytona 500 is coming soon as well. The favorite in my mind for the 2008 NASCAR season is Dale Jr. He has a lot to prove with his new team. Hendricks Motorsports could easily win half of the races this year. Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, and Dale Jr. will be racing for the championship this year.
I have heard talks of a rematch between Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr. I personally think that De La Hoya got robbed and no one can say any different. The judges clearly were favoring Mayweather from the beginning before the fight began. De La Hoya will win if it happens again. Mayweather has also been talking about getting into MMA/UFC. If he got into UFC he wouldn’t stand a snow ball chance in hell of surviving. Kind of like Brock Lesnar in UFC.
Yes Brock Lesnar is making his UFC Debut this Saturday against Frank Mir. Talk about a tough opponent to have your first match against. I think Brock should have stayed in WWE or at least go to TNA. He will get knocked out this Saturday.
WWE debut in HD last week and I must say it’s pretty cool to see. I especially enjoyed the DX entrance this past Monday. I think WWE in HD is only going to get better as the year goes on. Speaking of WWE, rumor has it that WWE might be NBC instead of USA because it is so successful in the ratings.
After a lengthy absence WWE is bring back the Elimination Chamber. It is one of the most brutal structures that wrestling has ever seen. I remember the first one that Shawn Michaels won. It was a classic. At WWE’s No Way Out PPV there will be two elimination chamber matches.
RAW Elimination Chamber Match
Triple H vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho vs. JBL vs. Umaga
SmackDown Elimination Chamber Match
Big Daddy V vs. The Great Khali vs. Finlay vs. MVP vs. The Undertaker vs. Batista
At the end of this post will be a clip of all the Elimination Chamber matches to show how brutal it can be.
In some entertainment news, Vince McMahon was on Celebrity Apprentice last week and showed a different side to him. He was a good judge of all the contestants. I personally enjoy watching Lennox Lewis and Tito Ortiz on the show. I am hoping one of them wins this competition.
American Gladiators is turning out to be a great show with fierce competition each week. Hulk Hogan maybe not the best announcer in the world but his name alone adds value to the show. Kind of funny the American Gladiators old announcer Mike Adamle is a WWE announcer on Raw now. A bit of irony there but it is all good
Finally, a new series of Surreal Life is coming back soon, and this time it will feature two familiar names. The two names would be Dennis Rodman and The Macho Man Randy Savage. No date has been set yet for its return to TV. Both Rodman and Savage were both members of the n.w.o. in WCW. Should make for interesting TV.
Well Ladies and Gents, until next time. Keep it real and be safe on the roads. God Bless.

TO ALL THE SMART MARKS-FANS OF WRESTLING
Over the last two days I have read some really stupid stuff as it relates to John Cena and his return. People are wishing death and injury on this guy. That’s so stupid. It’s like wishing injury on Tom Brady, Kobe Bryant and Alex Rodriguez just because you don’t like the Patriots, Lakers or Yankees. Why should they be bashed and criticized? It’s because of jealousy and the fact they have a God given talent that the normal fan doesn’t have.
I never use to be a fan of John Cena, but I respected what he brings to the business. I have however become a Cena fan since I watched the recent DVD that came out about him. I don’t care if he’s not technically sound. Hell Hogan wasn’t and everyone loved him. Don’t sit here and tell they are different because they are not. They both have limited wrestling skill but are great on the microphone and have a great charisma. I like John Cena because of his love and his passion for the business. If people took the time to realize how much love he had for wrestling people would appreciate him more.
The one thing I will say about Cena is his character was better when he was wearing chains and throwbacks and doing the rapping thing. However that got over and they had to turn him into something else which was a superstar who personified blue collar worker who wasn’t savvy but would find a way to win. There is nothing wrong with that type of character. Absolutely nothing at all
Finally, I would like to say this. The internet wrestling fans and so called “SMARKS” ruin wrestling because they take everything so damn serious. It’s a show, its entertainment so if you don’t like someone get the hell over it. You morons do what Vince wants you to do. Why do you think Cena had the title for a year? A true wrestling fan studies the business inside out, and knows the history of the business. I WILL NEVER CONSIDER MYSELF A SMARK OR INTERNET FAN because I have been watching wrestling since I was 3. I have studied the business, I have looked at the history of the business and I talk to people in the business so I can get a better understanding of why they do what they do. All I can say is if you think you can do better than John Cena or any other known wrestler on TV; prove it, back up your words.

Royal Rumble Recap
It is very rare that you will ever hear me say that a PPV was great from start to finish. Well the 2008 Royal Rumble was indeed just that…great! The first match of the night was MVP vs. Ric Flair and I thought MVP really proved himself in that match. He did a wonderful job against the Nature Boy.
Next was JBL vs. Y2J which resembled more of a brawl then anything. I enjoy a good brawl and I like how both men were left battered or bloody after the match with no clear winner. It’s a good continuation of the feud.
I knew that Rey vs. Edge would be a good match and it was. Mysterio is a great competitor but should no longer be competing for the World Heavyweight Title. It was great the first time around but it’s just not believable anymore. Bring back the Cruiserweight Title and let him be the showcase of the division. Other then that, good chemistry and good ending to the match
I loved the backstage segment with Ric Flair and the others. I loved how they build up the tension with all the guys who are really close. I also enjoyed the Maria/Ashley segment. The “Lets go Giants” chant was priceless.
Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy was a match that I looked forward to because it would prove if Hardy could be in a high profiled match for the WWE title match. I believe he proved he could be WWE Champion someday and proved he can do great things. I loved how Orton kept taking punishment and kept coming back. Randy Orton is definitely the future of the company if he can keep his head on straight.
Finally it was the Royal Rumble. They started where they left off from 2007, with the Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. There were a lot of little things in the Rumble I enjoyed. I enjoyed the Rowdy Piper and Jimmy Snuka feud rekindle itself for a few minutes. However I also noticed that Snuka went right after the Undertaker when came in. Reminded me of Royal Rumble 1991 and Wrestlemania 7 where Snuka became Takers first victim. I also enjoyed seeing Mick Foley and Triple H go at it for old time sake, especially since they beat the hell out of each other eight years earlier in the same arena at the same event. But most of all, was the surprise return of the Doctor of Thuganomics, John Cena. I just about had a heart attack because I couldn’t believe it. Cena swerved me, and everyone else….All I got to say is, it’s about time that WWE gave us a surprise. I have never been a huge fan of Cena until I watched his DVD so it was great to see him comeback. It also in a way threw everyone off who thought Taker, HHH, Batista or HBK was going to win. The Road to Wrestlemania is going to be hot and I am looking forward to it.
If WWE can pull a great PPV with the first of the year, I can only imagine what the next 11 months will be like. Miami, Florida get ready.

Final Thoughts of 2007
Well with 2007 rapidly ending I thought I'd give you my final thoughts of the year. Last Wednesday I witnessed one of the best basketball games in history. The Detroit Pistons vs. Boston Celtics. My two favorite teams none the less. It was a great game that saw Detroit winning by two. I can't wait until they play again. Should be good
The Micthell Report was released a few weeks back and to say that I was disappointed to hear Roger Clemens name in it is an understatement. Here is a guy I have always admired and respected as an athlete. The sad thing is, is he is the only one denying use while others in the report are coming clean. Roger come clean and stop hiding the truth
The Patroits went 16-0 while my Carolina Panthers struggled this year. New England dominated almost everyone they played. They had a few close games but they played great. Football playoffs start next week. Should be interesting to see who plays who.
Well the offseason in baseball has slowed down tremendously. Nothing interesting happening trade and signing wise. I think the Tigers are sitting pretty as of right now.
I say in 2008 the two best sports cities will be Boston and Detroit.
For Boston you have the Red Sox, Patroits, Celtics and Bruins.
Detroit you have the Tigers, Red Wings, Pistons and the Shock
And finally with 2007 coming to an end, my hope for 2008 is that the Tigers win the World Series, Pistons win the Championship and the Lions have a winning record. Also Carolina will hopefully be better next year. U of M has some coaching credability. Farewell 2008. Peace and Happy New Years

John Cena My Life DVD Review
So I got the new John Cena DVD for Christmas. I have never been a huge fan of Cena or at least the Cena we know and love today. After watching DVD I have a lot of respect for the Doctor of Thuganomics. I like how the guy has a lot of respect for the business. The weird thing about the DVD is that he didn’t talk once about himself…Hell he wasn’t in the DVD. Everyone talked about him. People like Tazz, Vince, J.R., and his family and friends.
The man is quickly ascending into a celebrity. He is a multiple time WWE Champion, He has a rap album and he has a movie. John Cena has a lot of critics which explains why he gets booed all the time now.
The DVD really captured what kind of person he is outside of the ring and it also tells us that he is really passionate about the United States and what we’re doing over in the Middle East. He has been on every single tour to Iraq since its inception in 2003.
All of the matches on the DVD are great. My favorite was the 6-man tag with Hogan and Michaels as his partners. It was cool to see that past, present and future in the ring at the same time.
John Cena is definitely the future of wrestling, and the WWE. When he comes back I hope he returns wearing the chain, and the throwback jerseys. He needs to go back to where he started. That’s when the fans liked him. That’s when I liked him. A must buy for any true wrestling fan. Good stuff.

Wrestlemania 24 Card Predictions
With Wrestlemania 24 a few months around the corner, I thought I’d take my time and make prediction on the 9 or 10 matches that could happen. Here we go.
WWE Championship Match:
Randy Orton vs. Batista vs. Triple H
World Heavyweight Championship Match:
Edge vs. Undertaker
Career Threatening Match:
Ric Flair vs. Sting
The Great Khali vs. Hulk Hogan
Mr. Kennedy vs. Bobby Lashley
Money in the Bank Ladder Match:
Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, MVP, Chavo Guerrero, Shelton Benjamin, Rey Mysterio
Shawn Michaels vs. Sid Vicious
JBL vs. Chris Jericho
WWE Tag Team Championship Match:
Miz/Morrison vs. Deuce/Domino vs. Major Brothers
World Tag Team Championship Match:
Hardcore Holly/Cody Rhodes vs. Highlanders vs. Cade/Murdoch vs. London/Kendrick
Now some of these are long shot picks but hey if this card actually happened it would be a great PPV. At this point who knows what’s going to happen but I think some of these matches are a strong possibility. Only time will tell.

AWA Stars getting attention from WWE

Steve Corino, Noah Lott and Kirby Mack after a 6-man Tag match
In a span of two and half months four of the AWA’s top superstars have been on a WWE show. It all started on Oct. 8th. WWE was in Grand Rapids, Michigan. None other than residence of Noah Lott who is originally from Boston Mass. Noah Lott took on Jacob Duncan, who eventually beat him. Jacob Duncan has since then been released from WWE.
Then on December 3rd, Mr. Kennedy saw fit to bring out three imposters from Shawn Michaels past. One of them being Marty Jannetty who appeared at the 15th anniversary show. The imposter Marty was none other than T.J. Mack. What most people don’t know is Marty Jannetty was originally part of the AWA before coming to the WWE. How interesting?
Also on December 3rd, Kirby Mack and a mystery partner were beaten by Paul London and Brian Kendrick on WWE Heat. Another thing for you non-Indy fans, the Mack brothers were trained by Jeff and Matt Hardy. Could that be a sign of things to come?
Then on December 10th, The King of Old School Steve Corino had a dark match against D.H. Smith, the son of the legendary Davey Boy Smith. Corino was defeated by the younger Smith but had a great showing.
With all this going on, how will the AWA keep these superstars from defecting to WWE? And do these appearances from these four make them the top contenders for the now vacated AWA World Heavyweight title? Soon we will find out.

WWE Raw 15 Anniversary Recap
Last night was the Raw 15th Anniversary show. There was so many wonderful moments. I was never more excited then I was last night to watch wrestling on Monday Night.
I enjoyed the Evolution reunion taking on Rated-RKO and Umaga. That should have been the Main Event. Evolution was dominant as always.
I loved how Triple H incorporated himself in the show with the McMahons, Evolution and DX. He pretty much covered every aspect of his career in a three hour show. Good stuff.
The Battle Royal was absolutely hilarious. Talk about the misfits of WWE past. It was funny. I loved how they had Ted Dibiase come out and buy his victory from long time tag partner I.R.S.
My favorite moment was when Hulk Hogan came out and saved the Hornswoggle the Leperchaun from the Great Khali. Hulkamania returns and I have a feeling he will be wrestling at Wrestlemania 24 this next year. Also he will be hosting American Gladiators starting Jan. 6th on NBC. Sweetness.

I was shocked to Rob Van Dam there last night. It was cool. Mr. Monday Night shocked all. I was surprised Sid Vicious wasn't there. Maybe they are saving his return for a later date. Who knows.
The very end was awesome. Mick Foley as Mankind, The Undetaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin came out and beat up Vince. Good stuff. Then all the Raw stars from the last 15 years came out and had a beer bash. It was a good moment.
The excitement is over but the buzz is still in the air. I enjoyed the 3 hour special last night. I really enjoyed it as a fan. I hope they keep some of the legends around who can still wrestle. Thanks WWE Raw for 15 years. I hope you run for another 15.
Be safe everyone. Winter is here. Happy Holidays.

Tigers off season moves.
Well what can you say. The Detroit Tigers struck first in the offseaon. They acquired some heavy hitters and one pitcher who has the potiential to be dominating. I would like to see the Tigers get one more relieve pitcher whose name is not Todd Jones, or Fernando Rodney. I am suprised Detroit hasn't gotten rid of them yet. I was sad to see Jurrijans and Infante go because they were better then what people gave them credit for. Everyone else. They came, they saw, they went.
I have a funny feeling that Detroit will be trading one, Brandon Inge. With Miguel Cabrera at 3rd base now, Inge won't see very much playing time. Inge will hopefully be traded for that one relief pitcher we need. It will happen you'll see. Tigers now have the most dominant line-up in baseball. I don't care about the Cubs, Mets, Indians, Yankees, and Red Sox. They have all just been surpassed by Detroit. The pitching is still shakey in my eyes. I am sure some feel the same way. Mark it on your calander, March 31 because thats opening day against the K.C. Royals. God I feel bad for them...not really. Well here is a history of how the Tigers got where they are now:
-12/5/07 Acquired LHP Dontrelle Willis and 3B Miguel Cabrera from the Florida Marlins in exchange for RHP Burke Badenhop, RHP Eulogio De La Cruz, RHP Dallas Trahern, LHP Andrew Miller, C Mike Rabelo and OF Cameron Maybin.
-12/4/07 Acquired RHP Denny Bautista from the Colorado Rockies in exchange for RHP Jose Capellan.
-11/30/07 Re-signed LHP Kenny Rogers to a one-year contract; Signed RHP Francisco Cruceta to a one-year contract.
-11/12/07 Acquired OF Jacque Jones from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for INF Omar Infante.
-10/29/07 Acquired SS Edgar Renteria from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for RHP Jair Jurrjens and OF Gorkys Hernandez.
To get a little you have to give a little and the Tigers definitely got the better end of all these deals and signings. Until spring training enough about the Tigers unless a big move happens again.
Who's your Tiger now?

100th Post: Raw 15th Anniversay, WWE Armaggedon, TNA Turning Point, and more
Well this is my 100th post on this thing...Hell yeah. Anyways Raw's 15th anniversay is this Monday live on USA at 8pm. I am very excited right now about this because Stone Cold, Hulk Hogan and many more past stars will be there. Something big is going to happen with Vince. I had a gut feeling. Tune in to find out.
WWE Armaggedon is next Sunday. Matches so far are:
-WWE Title Match
Randy Orton vs. Chris Jericho
-World Heavyweight Title Match
Batista vs. Edge vs. The Undertaker
-Women's Title Match
Beth Phoenix vs. Mickie James
-United States Title Match
MVP vs. Rey Mysterio
-Winner gets a WWE Title shot at Royal Rumble
Triple H vs. Jeff Hardy
-Shawn Michaels vs. Mr. Kennedy
-Finlay vs. The Great Khali
-CM Punk and Kane vs. Big Daddy V and Mark Henry
I have a feeling that Triple H and Jeff Hardy will steal the show and I believe Michaels vs. Kennedy will as well. What a lineup and show to end the year for WWE.
Unfortunately because of one man I cannot say the same for TNA'S final PPV in 2007, Turning Point. It was suppose to be Samoa Joe and Hall/Nash against the Angle Alliance. Scott Hall no-showed the event and no one seems to know why. As a wrestling fan I was pissed. They put Eric Young in the Main Event spot instead which I was interesting because he is not a main eventer but he is so over with the fans. Congrats to Eric. Scott Hall, you just committed career suicide for the last time. You can take your chico's and machismo and stick it. You dropped the ball.
Right now the WWE troops are in Iraq for the Tribute to the Troops taping. Superstars the are over there include the following: Hardcore Holly, Mickie James, Mark Henry, Triple H, Jeff Hardy, Ron Simmons, John Bradshaw Layfield, Mr. Kennedy, Rey Mysterio, Lillian Garcia, Maria, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Carlito, Umaga and many others. This is why the WWE is so great. Because of this. Even if you're not a wrestling fan you should tune into watch this Christmas Eve.

Thats all from me now, I will have another post today about the Detroit Tigers, probably within a half hour.

Celtics, Green Bay/Dallas, Flair and more
The Boston Celtics are still dominating the league with only one lost. No one else is keeping that kind of pace. I said it from the beginning that they put themselves in championship contention. I love following the green and white. Keep it up Boston.
Well the other Super Bowl game is on this week. Dallas vs. Green Bay. I think it will be better then Indianapolas/New England. I am loving Brett Farves little moment in the sun this year. Can he win the Super Bowl? Most people say no but don't under estimate a legend and thats what he is, a legend. Look foward to the game on Thursday

"Learn to love it, learn to live with it. Diamonds are forever, and so is Ric Flair!." That statement was never more true last night when Ric Flair returned to Raw in his hometown of Charlotte North Carolina. What a great match with Randy Orton and what a great show of respect by all the superstars in the Raw locker room. I love it. Ric Flair is a legend, the only legend in the wrestling business. Whooo.
I sat down and watched CNN's Special on The Death Grip on Pro Wrestling last night and it was typical media crap. Negitive, Negitive, Negitive. Ridicilious. They failed to mention all the wonderful things they do like going to Iraq, participating in charities, etc. CNN has lost all my respect...Notice it's CNN, the same company that use to be own by Ted Turner, former owner of WCW. Coindence? Think about it.
Well thats all from me for now. Be back more on Friday to discuss WWE's and TNA's final ppv's. God Bless

Will Hulk Hogan wrestle again?

When it was reported that Hulk Hogan had been notified of divorce papers that his wife had signed the first question that came to my mind was the obvious one and that is will Hulk Hogan return to the ring once again?
My response is yes. I believe Hulkamania will ride again. There has been talks of ending Hogan Knows Best because of Nicks accident and legal problems. I am sure it will definitely end now that divorce papers have been filed. Hulk is going to become the new host of American Gladiators in January but that show wont pay the bills. Now the Hulk is free to do what he wants the love for wrestling will come back and he will do what he does best, and that’s entertain a crowd.
Where will he go? Some say back to WWE but within the last year he had a fallout with Vince McMahon. However Vince sees dollar signs when he sees Hogan so he will put his professional differences a side and bring back Hogan. If Hogan does go back to WWE he will more likely go to Raw because that’s where the ratings are.
But what about TNA? The promotion is close to his home, has a light work schedule and already has some credibility with names like Kurt Angle, Booker T, Hall and Nash. Add Hogan to the mix. It’s WCW all over again but much better managed and there’s more athleticism then any other pro wrestling company right now.
Will Hulkamania run wild again? Absolutely Brother…Whatcha gonna do when Hulkmania returns and destroys you.

WWE Survivor Series Report

WWE Survivor Series Report
Tonight was the 21st annual edition of Survivor Series and it was a overall good pay-per-view. The first match started of with a bang. The first match was the Triple Threat Match for the ECW title and believe me, this match put pressure on everyone else that wrestled on the card. I honestly thought that all three men put on a show. My man CM Punk retains but not without a great effort from Morrison and the Miz. Great match up.
The next was the 10 Diva tag, which I could careless about. 90 percent of the Divas cant wrestle anyhow. The Women’s Division should only be compromised of Beth Phoenix, Candice Michelle, Victoria, Melina and Mickie James. I wish they would bring back Trish, Lita and Chyna. But anyways my feeling is that Divas shouldn’t be allowed to wrestle until they have gone through like 6-months of hard training and know what they are doing. Oh by the way, Melina you screwed up…If you watched the show you know what I am talking about.
Next up was Cody Rhodes/Hardcore Holly vs. Cade/Murdoch. My problem with this match is that Rhodes/Holly is not a legitimate tag team. Since this is Survivor Series I would have loved to see A 4 Team match for the titles with the other three being Worlds Greatest Tag Team, Highlanders and London/Kendrick. That would have been good. Not a bad performance by the challengers though.
Next up was the 5-on-5 traditional Survivor Series match with wound up being 5-on-4 due to Matt Hardy’s “injury.” A good bout overall loved the backstage interview with Triple H’s team and how Kane brought the Katie Vick thing up and how Jeff Hardy remembered the hospital beating HHH gave him. I was so glad to see Triple H and Hardy survive. Both guys are on top of their games right now and wouldn’t be surprised if both of them are in WWE Title hunt soon again.
Next up a match that wasn’t even a match. Hornswoggle vs. Khali. Very funny with the McMahon’s at ringside. Good stuff. I was surprised to see Finlay turn face or at least think that’s what happen. Got a good ovation for it. Hornswoggle gets bailed out again. Ha-ha.
Shawn Michaels probably offended some Canadian fans tonight with his use of the sharpshooter and the crippler crossface. Now I thought was a little distasteful. I am sure he also pissed off some TNA fans with his use of the ankle lock. You know what though, that’s controversy and that’s what makes wrestling so freaking awesome. It added to the match and the storyline of the match. Orton and Michaels just had one of the best matches in their lives and they have had a lot of good ones. Glad to see Orton get the clean win. Orton wins again
The main event was Taker and Batista. Brutal is the word to describe this match. Those two have such a great chemistry together it’s not even funny. Then to see Edge return was great in itself. Awesome stuff. The match was bloody, brutal and downright nasty. At the end JBL was pissed at Edge it seemed for interfering in the match. So here are my predictions for the next Pay-per-view, Armageddon.
WWE Title Match-Elimination Chamber-
Orton vs. HHH vs. HBK vs. Kennedy vs. Umaga vs. Y2J
World Title Match-
Batista vs. Edge vs. Undertaker vs. JBL
Finlay vs. Great Khali
US Title Match-
MVP vs. Rey Mysterio
WWE tag title match-
Miz/Morrison vs. Major Brothers
World Tag title match-
Cade/Murdoch vs. Holly/Rhodes
ECW Title Match-
CM Punk vs. Jamie Noble

Tigers offseason moves, Boston Celtics, TNA Genesis, and Survivor Series
Welcome to another edition of my opinionated ways. I was disgusted a few weeks ago when we (Tigers) traded away Jair Jurrijans. I am happy for what we got but not what we gave up. I guess you can't have it both ways...Well actually you can. We could have easily gotten rid of Nate Robertson, Jason Grilli or anyother half-ass reliever they have for Renteria. In another stupid move this week, the Tigers trade away Omar Infante one the best utility guys in the league and get Jacque Jones. No offense to Jacque but if Omar Infante would have played everyday then he would be up there with elite. Good luck with the Cubbies. I'll be watching you. And what the heck is up with signing Mr. Blow it, Todd Jones. Haven't Detroit fans suffered enough. I mean come on, go after Mariano Rivera or someone decent. Todd Jones is what a wrestling fan would call a Johnny Come Latley or ever how say it. Look it up. I am already dis-interested in the Tigers and it's not even January yet. How sad.
I've been follow the Celtics closely so far and they are phenomenal. I believe that the Celtics team isn't to be taken lightly. I think it will come down to the Celtics and Pistons in the Eastern Conference. No one can hold a candle to those two teams
This past Sunday I had to chance to watch TNA Genesis. What a good Pay-Per-View. I really enjoyed the Christan Cage and Kaz Ladder Match. Good stuff. I also enjoyed the X Division Title match between Jay Lethal, and Sonjay Dutt. Both are great high flyers and atheletes. The one match that I thought would be bad but turned out alright was the Steiner Brothers against Tomko and AJ Styles. It actually was a great match. A lot of chemistry. Good stuff. The biggest think of the night was Kurt Angle/Kevin Nash vs. Sting/Mystery Partner. The mystery partner none other then Booker T. I believe the momentum is on TNA's side right now. It was awesome. I think this is going to help TNA out a lot. New rivalries are being created and new names are coming in. I am loving TNA right now
This Sunday is WWE Survivor Series, the 21st year running. It's going to be awesome. I can not wait for the Undertaker and Batista Hell in a Cell Match. It's going to be brutual. It might be a match the changes the WWE forever as well as both men. Then you have Randy Orton vs. Shawn Michaels going one on one for the WWE title. It should be a classic. I am looking foward to Survivor Series this Sunday and will have a full report on Monday.
And one last thing as a side note. I've been in a football pool for like 4 years now and this Sunday marks the first time I have not picked Carolina since I've been doing this. I have always been a Carolina fan but they have really let me down this year. I decided to go with Green Bay because they are on fire. This will probably be a shock to some people but guess what. I want to win. Until next time, be safe and feel free to send any sports questions if you want them answered.

Renteria/Tigers, Grand Rapids/Wrestling, AWA and more
Monday the Tigers acquired Edgar Renteria in a trade. Just one problem with that. They foolishly traded their Pitch Jurrijans away to the Braves. Other then Verlander, Jurrijans is the only pitcher who showed me anything last year, and he only pitched four games. Bad move in the long run. Renteria is a good ball player and will provide the Tigers with some spark but it was a bad move. Anyways I hope the tigers make some more moves the involves getting pitchers.

AWA DISCONTINUES SANCTIONING
In a landmark announcement made today, AWA Chairman of the Board Dale R. Gagne announced that the AWA will no longer sanction independent territories effective immediately. Over three years ago, the AWA started an "open door policy" welcoming top independent wrestling organizations to represent it's brand both nationally and internationally. Within a year, the AWA had gained momentum with over 25 affiliate promotions from Hawaii to Japan. During the recent AWA Annual Meeting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Gagne and Vice-President Jon
Stewart addressed representatives from participating territories
regarding the impending future of the sanctioning program. "Quite honestly", stated Gagne, "the sanctioning of independent territories never reached the success we had hoped for". "We never intended on our brand being represented in bars, out-of-date military bases or American Legion halls", continued Gagne. "There may very well be a market for independent wrestling in these types of facilities but it certainly
isn't a part of the AWA's future".
Vice-President Jon Stewart further stated that the AWA will continue to look for effective and professional promoters to represent it's brand but there will be obvious differences in what local organizations present and what the AWA will produce. Where does this leave the territories currently representing the AWA brand? According to Gagne and Stewart, each promotion will be individually assessed. Those territories sharing a vision different than the AWA's new model, will be released by the end of the year. The Board of Directors and figurehead President will be dissolved accordingly. For updates on this developing story, keep it clicking on www.awastars.com.
Alot of people are hating on Kobe at this point because of his desire to get out of L.A. I don't blame him because the Lakers haven't built a team around him. It's all sub-par players on that team. Speaking hating, a lot of people are pissed off at A-Rod for the timing of his decision to opt out of his contract (right in the middle of the world series) That's nothing to mad about. Frankly who cares. Everyone knew Boston was going to win. Hell the Rockies knew Boston would win. A-Rod good luck to where ever you end up.
I'll be posting a lot more now that MLB Free Agency is upon us and basketball season has began again. Until next time, Peace and God Bless

Cyber Sunday, World Series, Colts vs. Pats, A-Rod, and more
Well Cyber Sunday was awesome last night. Good matches from top to bottom. The first matched was Finlay vs. Rey. Rey did some amazing stuff last night and put his body on the line. CM Punk was challanged by the Miz who showed a lot of promise but his not a great wrestler yet. Then there was the Grand Rapids rematch of Jeff Hardy vs. Mr. Kennedy....Kennedy. A lot like the Grand Rapids match, it was great. Kennedy won a good match. Then you had MVP vs. Kane. Kane took Matt Hardys place because of his horrific injury on Raw. Great pyschology in the match. Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton was next and HBK proved he could still deliver. Orton is getting really good at telling a story. Orton kept the title, but HBK got the last laugh. Then it was time to play the game with HHH and Umaga in a street fight. Awesome match. Umaga and HHH unloaded on each other. Good stuff. The main event was Undertaker vs. Batista with Austin as the special guest referee. Before Austin came out, JBL and Foley got into it and then Austin came in and cleaned house delivering a Stunner to both men. Taker and Batista was a great match, and Batista finally beat the Deadman. It was good if not better then their Wrestlemania match. All around good night at the PPV. Next stop is Survivor Series...sweetness
The World Series thankfully ended last night. I was hoping the Rockies would win one but that was obvious that it wasn't going to happen. It was a great night for Boston. Boston fans have a lot to cheer about right with Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics. Colorado you had one chance and you blew it. Your fairytail story is over. Thank God.
This weekend is the highly anticipated match between the Patriots and Colts. I cannot stand either team but I am hoping New England wins. The Colts got lucky last year. San Diego and New Orleans should have been in the Super Bowl last year, not the Bears and Colts. As for New England, Tom Brady went on record saying Bill Bellcheck(sp?) is greatest coach in the NFL all time. Hey buddy have you ever heard of Lombardi, Landry, and Ditka. Don't even go there. I hope they destroy each other this weekend.
Alex Rodreguiz opted out of his contract with the Yankees last night in hopes of finding a better team. Yes I said better. The Yankees will suck with out Torre, and A-Rod. I would not be surprised if Damon and Rivera leave knowing that they lost two key elements to that team. And please for the love of all things good, Roger Clemens please retire. You're old, and washed up. You didn't get the job done this year. You had a great career but it's over. You made the same mistake Michael Jordan did. You killed part of your legacy coming back.
Tonights Raw is suppose to feature the return of Y2J, Chris Jericho. It should be interesting to see who he feuds with and if he face or heel. I'll report on that tomorrow. Should be a good Raw and the road to Survivor Series begin tonight. Also MNF is on as well. The Monday Night Legend Brett Farve will dominate to Broncos who will see how painful it is to play Green Bay on a Monday night game. Until then, peace and God Bless

WWE vs. NBA, Testaverde, World Series, Celtics and more
A few weeks ago I went to Raw at Van Andel arena in Grand Rapids and it was 90 percent full. A week later the Detroit Pistons came to town and the arena was hardly half full. It proves a point I've been saying all along. No indoor sport can compete with pro wrestling in attendence, ratings, merchandise selling and everything else. It's simple, pro wrestling is the greatest form of entertainment there is. No doubt about it.
I was glad to see my Carolina Panthers bring Vinnie Testaverde out of retirement. He looked great two weeks ago and I am sure he will do great for them the rest of the season. Go Vinnie T.
Game 1 of the World Series was last night and I have to say, its Bostons for the taking. Unreal what they did to Colorado last night. Maybe I was wrong in saying that Colorado would get lucky in win the series in 5. It might be a sweep by Boston in 4
Speaking of Boston, as the NBA season begins, the Boston Celtics are my favorite going in to the season. I am an old school kind of guy and I look old school teams. I think The Celtics are going to shake up the Eastern Conference. I wouldn't be surprised to see them win it all.
Cyber Sunday is this weekend and I look foward to some big matches with some big stipulations involved. I also look foward to Chris Jerichos return this Monday on Raw. Yes it's going to happen this Sunday. I would love to see him fued with Kennedy because they both have great mic skills.
Well thats all from me. Be back on Monday to talk more World Series, WWE, TNA and other stuff. Peace

Waylands Noah Lott hits the big time

After three grueling days on the road wrestling in Shawano, Wisconsin and Coldwater Michigan, Adam Johnson came home Monday to get ready to go to WWE Monday Night Raw. Little did Adam Johnson know that Noah Lott would be needed. Noah Lott arrived at Van Andel Arena at 5:30pm. He called Vice President of talent relations John Laurinaitis and John talk to Noah Lott about being on the show. “I had heard they were already full and didn’t need anyone,” explained Noah Lott.
Laurinaitis met Noah outside and told him to get his gear and hop over the fence. Noah had little time to prepare for his first match in the WWE. The action started at 8pm with a taping for WWE Heat which airs on WWE.COM every Friday. Noah Lotts match was the first match of the night. The crowed cheered for him when they announcer said he was from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He fought against Jacob Duncan from Louisville, Kentucky. The match lasted about seven minutes and Noah Lott was defeated by Duncan. Noah Lott got a great ovation from the fans.
After his match Noah Lott met with talent coordinator and WWE Legend Ricky “the Dragon” Steamboat to discuss his match. Steamboat listed off many things that Noah Lott did during his match. Steamboat also told him that he had a future in the wrestling business if he kept up his drive and work ethic. The last five years was a huge payoff for one night.
There was also three other guys who wrestled on the show from Michigan and they Nate Mattson, Gutter and Conrad Kennedy III. Noah Lott has wreslted against both Nate Mattson and Gutter within the last year. All four of these men deserved to be on the show Monday. Maybe there should be a fatal way match between the four to see who is the best.
Noah Lott has been wrestling for five years now. He started when he was a junior at Wayland High School. He was trained by Dan “the beast” Severn, a UFC Hall of Famer and former WWE Superstar in his own right. Noah Lott has has held over 10 titles in his short career including titles in Canada, Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana, and West Virgina. Of course he has held titles in Michigan.
Noah Lott has also wrestled 400 matches in his career and has wrestled against and with many well known names like Steve Corino, The Honky Tonk Man, Dan Severn, “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka, and many more.
One of Noah Lotts favorite sayings is, “History will be kind to me, for I intend to write it.” If that statement is true, Noah Lott will be remembered by Grand Rapids fans for a long time. WWE has not seen the last of Noah Lott and neither has the fans.

Ricky Landell vs. Noah Lott: A dream match comes true
On September 28th, the AWA will change forever. Two of their most popular stars will collide for the first time in history. “The Trademark of Excellence” Ricky Landell will put his ZERO1-MAX US Title on the line against “The Definition of Greatness” Noah Lott. These two have a lot to prove and a lot of respect for the business. Just look at their roots for minute
Ricky Landell was trained by the likes of former ECW Heavyweight Champion Steve Corino. Corino has taught Landell everything about pro wrestling and because of that Landell has gone up against some of top names in business. Some of the names include Kip James, B.G. James, Buff Bagwell, Steve Corino, CW Anderson and many others. Landell has held the AWA Tag team title, the World-1 Heavyweight Title. A belt that was form from Corino’s own promotion, and now the ZERO-1 MAX US Title. Ricky Landell is the future of the business.
Lets not forget about Noah Lott, who was trained by former NWA Heavyweight Champion and UFC Hall of Famer Dan the Beast Severn. Lott has learned a lot of different ways to break an opponent much like his mentor has done in the past. Noah Lott has gone up against some of top rising stars in this business, Josh Abercrombie, N8 Mattson, Kirby Mack, T.J. Mack, and many others. He is teamed with Steve Corino, and the legendary Cuban Assassin. Noah Lott has held the AWA Apex Shooting Star title, as well as the POG Chaotic title, and the POG Tag titles on two occasions. Price of Glory is a promotion that Dan Severn founded.
I believe that Ricky Landell and Noah Lott will give the people in Ontario, Canada a match to remember on Sept. 28th. This match could be the match that defines the AWA and what the AWA is all about. I have been following the AWA since it held its Light Heavyweight title tournament in 2005, and all I can say is that there is so much talent in that organization its ridiculous. However having two of its top stars go at it for much more then just a title will be something to remember. On September 28th Excellence meets Greatness in a match for the Ages.

Baseball Milestones, WWE, TNA, AWA and more
What a weekend in milestones it was in baseball. First you had A-Rod getting to 500 Homeruns. I think he'll eventually get to 800 to be honest with you. Then you had the homerun king Barry Bonds get 755. I don't like Bonds attitude but I will give him his props. Don't tell me steroids makes you hit homeruns because it doesn't Any average Joe can hit a homerun if you hit the ball right. Bonds is just better then anyone else at doing it. Do I agree with steroid use? Hell No. I mean all sports, including pro wrestling is plagued by it. Last night I got to watch Tom Glavine throw a great game for his 300th win. What a feat. Glavine has always been a great pitcher. I agree with the experts, in that it will be a long time before anyone gets to 300 wins again.
Vince McMahon returns to Monday Night Raw tonight. After Benoits death he hasn't been on T.V. but since the ratings suck he's returning tonight. WWE's ratings really suck right now so I am more interested in watching other things. I will also be thrilled when Triple H comes back. He is the leader of that lockerroom and I can't wait for glorified return.
TNA is on its way to a 2 hour show starting this fall. Goodstuff. Andrew "Test" Martin made his debut this past Thursday and now Adam Pacman Jones has apparently signed as well...What the hell is the world coming to? Does he really think he can hang with the likes of Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle, Sting, Abyss, and others. Only few footballs players have been successful in pro wrestling...Brian Pillman, Ron Simmons, Paul Orndorff, The Rock, and Ernie Ladd. Good luck Pacman, you're going to need it.
The AWA has announced that there will be a torunament Oct. 5th and 6th to determine the new AWA Tag Team Champions. Teams announced so far are:
BAD RAD 3000 from AWA QUEBEC
THE ELITE from AWA NORTH ATLANTIC
KAIMANA & MICAH TAYLOR from AWA HAWAI'I
THE JUNK SQUAD Kleck Michaels & "Playboy" Pete Huge from AWA PRO WRESTLING RUSH
ZACH GOWEN & NOAH LOTT from AWA WORLDWIDE (Both are from West Michigan)
THE HEARTBREAK EXPRESS Phil & Sean Davis from AWA WORLD-1 SOUTH
ZCANADIAN EXTREME from AWA ONTARIO

How about Tiger Woods shutting up Rory Sabbatinni yesterday. I am not much a Golf fan, but I am starting to learn the game so I can play with my stepdad. But anyways when I found out that Tiger and Rory were golfing together I had to sitdown and watch. Tiger dominated the final round yesterday. I guess thats what you get for dogging the greatest golfer who ever played the game. Good for you Tiger.
For the last two years I have been trying to bring pro wrestling back to Grand Rapids, Michigan. It use to be a hot bed for wrestling but a lot of people screwed the whole G.R. scene up. A promotion by the name of Hybrid Pro Wrestling said they would run shows in G.R. if I could find a suitable venue that they could pay for. If anyone knows of a venue let me know. In the meantime check out their site at http://www.hybridprowrestling.net
Well thats all from for now. I am sure I'll have more this weekend. Until then take care and stay out of the heat. Peace

Media Coverage of Benoit Tragedy is Hurting Wrestling
You know ever since the June 26 the media has gotten way too involved in the Chris Benoit case. People like Nancy Grace who know nothing about the wrestling business need to keep their mouth shut. I can name you every wrestler that’s been on TV since this has happened: Chris Jericho, John Cena, Superstar Billy Graham, Ted Dibiase, Bret Hart, Marc Mero, Steve Blackman, Debra Williams (who has no business in wrestling to begin with), Konnan and countless others. Even WWE’s Attorneys have been on TV.
Wake up people not all wrestlers are on steroids. My best friend is a pro wrestler and he is not on steroids. Wrestlers are not bad people. They do a lot of charities for people, and hell they risk their lives and go to Iraq for our troops. You know what else…WWE was the first entertainment event that happened after 9/11. You can’t blame the WWE for this, you cant blame Vince McMahon. Did Vince McMahon and WWE tell Chris to kill his family and then himself. Hell No!!! So people like Nancy Grace, the idiots at CNN and FOXNEWS who know nothing about wrestling shut shove it up their ass, because I am tired of hearing about how it steroids this and steroids that. Its ridiculous. How do we know it wasn’t a mob hit? Dino Bravo was killed by the mob years ago. Why isn’t Kevin Sullivan being interrogated? He is Nancy’s ex-husband, and it is known that him and Chris hated each other during their time in WCW. So why isn’t any of this being brought up? Because the media is stupid and only knows how to focus of one issue
I honestly hope when then toxicology reports comeback that steroids were not a factor, then I am going to laugh at the media and how stupid they were to jump to conclusions. I’ve said my peace. I am sick and tired of listening to it all. Hulk Hogan is on Larry King Live this week. I’ll be interested in what he says about it. Until next time, God Bless, and to all you wrestlers, keep up the great work and keep the business alive

Remembering Chris Benoit 1967-2007
Thinking about Chris Benoit, I thought about great wrestling. On June 25th 2007 one of the greatest wrestlers of all time tragically died. I remember watching Chris Benoit when he came to WCW in 1994. At the time I was still into the big name wrestlers like Hogan, Savage and Flair. As I kept tuning into Nitro every week Benoit consistently had great matches. It made me appreciate other guys more like Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, and Chris Jericho.
When Chris Benoit joined the Horsemen in 1995, I knew he was something special. If you’re in company with Ric Flair and Arn Anderson you have done something right. Benoit was just as good as any of the original horsemen. I will never forget the battles he with William Regal, Fit Finlay, and Booker T. Chris and Booker had the greatest Best of 7 series that any sport has ever seen. They took it to each other 7 matches in a row. Another great moment is when Chris won the WCW Tag titles with Dean Malenko. They made a great tag team. WCW was only the beginning for Chris.
In 2000, Chris jumped to WWE, with Eddie, Dean, and Perry Saturn. Chris made an impact right away taking on Triple H his first night on TV. He then won the Intercontental title at Wrestlemania 2000 against Jericho and Angle. My favorite three memories of Chris Benoit are when he and Jericho won the tag titles in Calgary against Austin and Triple H, and then they competed in a 4 team TLC match 3 days later. My second favorite moment is when he faced Kurt Angle in 2003 at the Royal Rumble in one of the greatest matches ever. My third favorite memory is when he won the World title in 2004 at Wrestlemania 20. I remember my friend Noah Lott telling me that it was well deserved. I’ll always remember the sight of Chris and Eddie in the ring together at the end of Wrestlemania 20
Chris Benoit will always be remembered as a wrestler who brought intensity, passion and great wrestling everytime he went out to the ring. He also in my opinion set the standard for WCW/WWE United States title. He held that title with pride and dignity and made it credible title. Chris you will be remembered forever. Long live the rapid wolverine and the Canadian crippler. We miss you Chris.

Detroit Sports, POG Double Impact, and more
Well not much of anything has changed in 3 weeks but Detroit seems to be falling on their butts. Tigers aren't doing so hot and neither are the Pistons. What is up with that crap? The Tigers need to trade somebody and the Pistons just need to be more aggressive. I mean I know the Lions are bad but there is no reason why the Tigers, Red Wings and Pistons shouldn't be winning championships. I am pissed off and frustrated with the Tigers right now. They need pitching!!!! Good grief
Last Sunday I went to my first Indy wrestling show in about a year. It was POG's Double Impact. It was a good show. I enjoyed seeing the Old Timer Jeff King, Josh Abercrombie, Steve Amani and of course my good friend Noah Lott. I bought the POG Unrated DVD for one reason and that is because of the NO D'Q match between Noah Lott and $Dollar$ match. Brutal is the word. The great thing is, is that feud isn't quite over yet. Next Sunday I am going back down to Coldwater for POG Faded Glory 2, their 3rd year anniversary show. For more info go to http://www.the-beast.com/pogindex.shtml It's going to be a great show. I hope people in the area go and see this show because POG definitely has it going for them.
Well Kobe Bryant is creating more drama then what were use to. He first says he wants to be traded then doesn't. Make up you fricken mind and make it up quick. Also I am so sick of hearing Lebron being compared to Michael Jordan. Theres only one MJ and no one can replace, certainly not Queen James the crybaby and the most overrated player in the game.
Well too bad the Duke Lacrosse team didn't get their dream ending to their season. What a great comeback. It sucks that mindless and stupid people have to take advantage of peoples fame and fortune. It's ridiculous. Hopefully people will learn from this.
Well thats all from me now. Have a good weekend. Hopefully by the next time I update the Pistons will be in the Finals and the Tigers will be winning again. Peace and God Bless

Dale Jr., De La Hoya/Mayweather, Edge, Baseball, NBA Playoffs and More.
What a tragic day in NASCAR today. Dale Jr. is leaving DEI at the end of 2007. Not a good day. I think it's absolutely terrible that Dale Jr. is leaving and his step-mom runs the show. Not cool. Dale Sr. built that team for him and Kerry. Bunch of crap. I hope he goes to RCR and dawns the number 3 once again. What a travesty.
So I watched the De La Hoya/Mayweather fight this past Saturday and I can't believe that Mayweather would stoop so low and mock De La Hoyas heritage. The judges gave Mayweather that fight and anyone who knows boxing would probably would agree with me. Oscar was pressing the fight the whole entire time while Pretty Boy Floyd was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Horrible judging. It didn't help Oscars cause that two of the judges previously had judged Mayweathers fights. Now Mayweather wants to retire. I would love to see Mayweather be put in to the UFC and have some sense beat out of him by The Iceman Chuck Liddell. Maybe that would shut Pretty Boy Floyds mouth. You ever the guy talk. It sounds like he hasn't hit puberity yet. Haha
This Friday on Smackdown you will see Edge become the new World Heavyweight Champion. With Kennedy, Undertaker being injured and Batista being a crappy wrestler it was only fitting that Edge become the World Heavweight Champion. Congrats Edge. I look foward to seeing your title victory on TV this week.
The first month of baseball is in the books and the biggest surprise....The Milwalkee Brewers. They have the best record in Baseball right now but in the American League you have the Indians and Tigers dominating everyone else. We might see a preview of the World Series in June. The Tigers take on the Brewers in a 3-game series in the Brewery. Should be good. The Cardinals are having their woes and the Yankees signed Clemens. What else is going to happen. Who knows?
The NBA Playoffs are in round 2. The Mavericks, and Heat who were in the finals last year are both gone thanks to the Golden State Warriors(where the hell did they come from) and the Chicago Bulls(haven't done squat since Jordan left). The playoffs are really good this year. Pistons are up on Chicago right now. Spurs and Suns have a great series going. I think its going to be the Utah Jazz and the Detroit Pistons in the finals with the Pistons winning in five.
The NFL Draft has come and gone. Detroit picked up Calvin Johnson and MSU QB Drew Stanton(what a winner he is going to be). Detroit should have picked Offensive Linemen to protect their damn QB so they could have a shot at winning some games. The most suprising thing to me is that Chris Leak wasn't even drafted and Troy Smith didn't go until the 5th round. What an insult to the two QB's who were in the Championship game. Should be an interesting football year.
